Only good thing about war is that Artists make some fine tunes which are anti war so I will kick off with this one by the Creedence Clearwater Revival: Fortunate Son...

Man I love the song and the lyrics
.

I should have been a hippy

This one was popular a long time ago....

"Country Joe McDonald live at Woodstock"

www.youtube.com...

Country Joe McDonald performs his big hit "I-feel-like-I'm-fixing- to-die-rag" (The Viet Nam song) live at Woodstock. He manages to get 300,000 people singing to stop the war in Viet Nam. (Or maybe they really were "half a million strong"!) This Woodstock Hero is still touring, now fighting against a new war in Iran. Visit his homepage for more music and info. R.I.P. everybody who died in this war.

I would say just play any song by Justin Beiber and everyone would kill themselves before they kill anyone else.

Meanwhile by Discharge. Short and straight to the point:

Discharge were the root of D-beat, which spawned countless bands. Most famously, many bands inspired by Discharge start with Dis as in Disclose, Distress, etc. Very repetitive and described by many as overbearing and abrasive.

Barry's Eve:

50 years later and nothing has really changed.

Today? Society got so bad that a youthful Canadian band got involved?

Being an old dude Fortunate Son IS my fav. But younger stuff isn't bad either:

I always think the best anti-war songs are the ones about all the soldiers returning or wanting to return and thinking about how many didn't. If you apply that to modern warfare, all the civilians and infants that now have their heads blown off and will never get to be alive again.

Till then, my darling, please wait for me
Till then, no matter when it will be
Some day, I know I'll be back again
Please wait, till then

Our dreams will live though we are apart
Our love, I know it'll keep in our hearts
Till then, when all of the world will be free
(Hey look! We're still buying this bull#.)
Please wait for me

Although there are oceans we must cross
And mountains that we must climb
I know every gain must have a loss
So pray that our loss is nothing but time

Till then, let's dream of what there will be
Till then, we'll call on each memory
Till then, when I will hold you again
Please wait till then

Although there are oceans we must cross
And mountains that we must climb
I know every gain must have a loss
So pray that our loss is nothing but time

Till then, let's dream of what there will be
Till then, we'll call on each memory
Till then, when I will hold you again
Please wait till then
