And you do realize that was political smearing by the anti-Federalists and without substantiation. There has been zero evidence George Washinton was unfaithful with his wife. Oh I was under the impression that eliminating the federal deficit and creating a strong economy were good things. I must have been mistaken. Saying that Hillary is a Communist just proves your lack of understanding of politics, Communism in particular. And as far as lying goes, I would take Clinton's lying about his sexual escapades any day over the lying conducted by later presidents. The impacts that a president has on the nation generally cannot be determined with any accuracy until some time has elapsed. All the claims that the financial success of the country could not be attributed to Clinton's policies are starting to be overturned, because enough time has passed to fit the pieces in their proper locations. So now it is becoming more and more accepted among academics that Clinton's policies are what led to one of the strongest US economies in recent memory. And again, the elimination of the federal deficit is itself a monumental achievement, and places him in a position of one of the most economically-successful presidents ever. I would take Clinton over Bush or Obama any day. As for Hillary it is hard to say. I do not particularly like her, and I also think that her policies would be very different from those of her husband, probably for the worse.

The infidelity and lying were bad enough. It is about the other scandals you know -- White Water, supposed suicides, theft from the WH, questionable money donations, affiliation with known criminals, etc.

Justifying a "wrong" by saying "so and so did it" does not make it wright; but if that act was the only weakness in their moral character, it might be conveniently overlooked. Officers in the military loose their jobs, their pensions, their good name when they "poke it to a subordinate". So Clinton was the Command in Chief and those laws should not apply to him? If it smells like poop, looks like poop and tastes like poop -- it has to be poop.

If the only thing you have to bring down the president of the USA is sex ---- it's not saying much.

Power/political "couplings" have been a part of the political system from day one. They are a strong, politically knowledgeable, power couple that are still together for why they want to be together.

IMO no one else has what they have -- in knowledge, know how, experience, and connections.

That is a strawman, it was him lying to the Independent Counsel (approved by Janet Reno) that was the cause of his impeachment. It was not what he lied about, just the fact that he lied.

We need someone honest, someone who has backbone and says what they mean and means what they say. Someone who cares about the people, the country and the environment and isn't in it for personal gain.

Those are the very people who have no chance of winning. Even if someone like that did get in, they'd be isolated to the point of helplessness.

One thing, it would be a scary scenario for other countries that want to screw with us.

Almost as scary as what Louis Black said about bringing back a dead president...
