As far as "diss'in" Obama, I personally think he's just a tool that his handlers use to further their agenda. He may or may not be reasonably intelligent, I don't know him. However, you can teach parrots to recite as well and considering their vocal limitations with human speech, they can still be quite eloquent.

As far as trading a harper for an obama, I'd really rather trade them both for something with actual utility, like a frying pan or a pencil. Neither one is worth enough to trade for say, a toaster oven or a shaving kit.

Obama has not taken care that the laws be faithfully executed in that:
1) February 2012: President Barack Obama declared that the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional and ordered the Department of Justice to stop defending the law in court. (He does not have the authority to make that declaration)
2) June, 2012: In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down three parts of Arizona’s immigration law, the Obama administration announced they would be severely limiting federal assistance to the state. (the president cannot punish states for self-governance)
3) July, 2012: President Obama announced changes to Department of Homeland Security policy that would allow certain undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children the opportunity to apply for a two-year stay that would shield them from deportation. (circumnavigating immigration law)

Failure to execute extant laws is an impeachable offense. As is treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors. That is a very broad range of offenses that can lead to impeachment. His continued abuse of authority, selective enforcement of legislation, and questionable loyalty are more than sufficient grounds for impeachment.

1.The Obama administration announced in 2011 that it had concluded that DOMA Section 3 was unconstitutional and that although the administration would continue to enforce the law while it existed, it would no longer defend the law in court.

The Presidential Oath of Office: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The President actually does determine the actions of the Executive Branch in light of his Oath.

2. Arizona won the right to police their own borders, and set their own standards for compliance with Federal Immigration Law in the SCOTUS case Arizona v. United States. The Obama Administration simply honored the SCOTUS decision and allowed Arizona to do their own thing.

3. Obama changed DHS Policy not Federal law which certainly is within his purview as Chief Executive.

1) How do you enforce a law without defending it in court?
2) He threatened financial sanctions against his own people! That is how he is handling Russia, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, etc, etc, etc, That is NOT how a president treats his own people. And that is NOT simply honoring a scotus decision.
3) He can change DHS policy all he wants but if those changes enable circumventing immigration law then the act is criminal. It is just as criminal to act with intent to break the law as it is to break the law. Example: Conspiracy to commit a felony is in itself a criminal act, even if the conspired felony never takes place.

Nothing a president does stops at the surface. You need to look deeper and see how many ways the actions of that office affect law and constitutional rights. It is rarely as obvious as it seems.

I don't care how dedicated or hard-core liberal anyone is. It never ceases to amaze me that anyone could accept a president that would levy sanctions on his own people for enforcing federal immigration law, law which the government failed in its responsibility to enforce, thusly endangering the lives of everyone in this nation. Diseases that no one has immunity to, there are no vaccines for, and there is no cure for. Ebola is just one of the life threatening diseases we are currently facing. As bad as that is its not even the only hemmorhagic fever currently on US soil, let alone the only lethal one.

I cant help but wonder how many of these die hard liberals will still be singing his praises when their own children start bleeding from every orifice after coming in contact with illegal alien children shipped in to attend your schools on your tax dollars with no health screening of any kind. Exactly like they are right now...

1. The President honored his Oath to protect the Constitution, and it turns out that the portion of the law that he believed was unconstitutional has been found to be unconstitutional by the body that finds things unconstitutional in our system of government. Your point, such as it was, is moot.

2. Arizona is a sovereign state that sought to be able to protect its own borders as it saw fit. The President obliged them and the decision of the Supreme Court. There were no economic sanctions, and there is no similarity to any situation with Russia or any other country you want to toss into the kitchen sink. Sanctions against Cuba begain in 1960, a year before the President was even born. I know that the man is blamed for much, but is he also a time traveller?

3. The changes are to executive branch rules and procedures. If laws are being ignored, then the Legislative branch should prefer action just as Speaker Boehner is doing, except, he can't seem to keep a firm employed to do so. Perhaps there is no "there" there?

One can also not intend to look for the truth when biased or burdened by their own ideology. Humans are well-known for their confirmation bias, which will allow us to see exactly what we expect to see, whether we look deeply or shallowly.

As you make obvious in the one-sidedness of your argument.

In your next bit, you tip your hand. There is no evidence that the President wishes to spread disease. If that were the case, there is enough truly deadly material in one vial at the CDC to accomplish the job much better than helping to treat patients. To accuse anyone of that is irrational. Allowing a few Americans to be treated in the best facilities in the world for doing so is not trying to spread disease.

Ebola is actually not even on US soil. Obama saved us. I wonder why no one mentioned it.

Everyone is weak and unfit to rule. Everyone.

That being said, when you do have someone in office, you should respect the person for the position they hold. They may be despicable people, and will in time have to answer to God for their behavior. But no one should show disrespect for authority.

Just as children should not disrespect their parents, nor disrespect their teachers. Adults should not disrespect those being allowed to rule over them.

You may show respect for authority without agreeing with it, and even knowing it is corrupt. All authority in the end answers to God. Some are removed sooner than others. Some are allowed to exist for a time. Shortly all human rule will be done away with, and there will be no more problems with inept and corrupt rulers, but until then, that's what we get for deciding to rule ourselves.

I myself am disappointed in Obama, as him being the first black prez, I actually had some hopes for him. But he hasn't really done anything spectacular, nor tried changing things much, and I think Obamacare was poorly thought out. I was extremely disgusted with him bailing out the car companies and banks.

That said, I do not hold the same blind, rabid, knee-jerk, hysterical hatred of him that a number of people, especially on the right, hold for him. He hasn't done anything to warrant my loathing, and the majority of arguments against him are purely partisan, petty, and mostly exaggerated and untrue. And despite numerous claims that the country is spiraling downward because of him, I have found nothing to suggest he is making things worse.

I left the U.S. back in 2005 to go live in England with my then husband. When I left the U.S., Dubya Bush was in power, and I remember what a disaster his presidency was. I have no good memories of the way things were during the Bush years, in fact, economically and socially, they were the worst years I remember. While over in Europe, 2008 election comes. Everyone back home told me Obama was an evil Muslim socialist who will ruin the country. I knew nothing about him, but I knew McCain, so I voted for McCain (first and only time I've ever voted a major party candidate in an election). Obama won. So I watched. Everyone back home was wringing their hands and weeping how horrible and oppressive and evil Obama was, and how bad things were back home. Yet I found no evidence of this when I returned home. In fact, I found the opposite. Things had actually improved a little from 2005. Whether or not Obama had anything to do with it is a matter of opinion. I myself don't know. But I do know coming back in 2012, I was pleasantly surprised by a few things. Like, more people I knew had steady jobs, The VA actually helped me for the first time since I left the army, and they actually WANTED to help me. The tension and paranoia from the War on Terror has dropped.

All I know for certain is that observed reality is completely different than what is claimed. And while Obama is kind of a dud in a lot of ways, he certainly doesn't come anywhere near the labels of commie/muslim fanatic/america hater/anti-christ/black racist that some people swear he is.

- Renewed the unpopular Patriot Act and brings in NDAA which strips Americans of all rights including habeas corpus.
- Kept the S. border wide open and supplied weapons to drug cartel members in Mexico. One of these weapons killed a border agent.
- Leaves borders wide open in spite of the threat of "terrorist"infiltration through the southern border
- Will have doubled the national deficit before he left office just as Bubba did before him.
- Continued the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and expanded them into lybia, Egypt, Tunisia (Arab Spring) now expanding into Syria and soon Iran
- Paid a friend of Obama's "wife" the equivalent of $3 million per subscriber to prepare the software for Obamacare.
- Brought in a healthcare program that will raise the cost of healthcare and make it illegal to opt out. It forces Employers to limit working hours of low wage earners to opt out of the program, thus increasing poverty and lowering unemployment at the same time.
- Promised to shut down Gitmo but it is still operating.
- Rating agencies lied about corporate ratings and entire financial industry was guilty of fraud and corruption but the response was "They're too big to prosecute". Token fines were levied against banks equal to a slap on the wrist. Nobody went to jail
- Continues to promote mass immigration into the US where "real" unemployment is carefully concealed by false gov't stats.
- It is almost impossible for most young people to get a higher education. They graduate burdened with debt looking at a bleak job market. What does Obama do. Make it impossible to include student loan debt in bankruptcy. Average family income has taken a big hit since Obama came to office.

- GMO foods have been proven to be poison and the Obama admin. keeps the revolving door between Monsanto and the FDA wide open.

- He is quietly negotiating in secret the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) the mother of all trade agreements that will turn the economy over to private corporations completely. This has been affectionately called the revenge of the 1%. Rather than renegotiate or reneg on trade agreements that have force American corporations offshore, such as GATT, WTO and NAFTA he has instead moved on to even more punitive agreements
- Everyone knows the Federal Reserve system is a privately owned ponzi scheme that most Americans want eliminated but Obama will not touch it.
- There are 100 million american without employment. Over 50 million are on some form of assistance yet unemployment is 7% this does not compute.
- It has been proven since the hanging chad debacle that Diebold voting machines can be reprogrammed to give any desired result. This is the bedrock of democracy. Obama has not even mentioned this issue. In the last Federal election many exit polls were completely different that final reported results. Many votes are counted and tabulated by private offshore companies. Voting machines leave no paper trail. Is this what Americans want
- Obama oversaw the biggest oil spill in American history; the BP oil spill. A dangerous product Corexit which Britain banned was used to clean it up. The ongoing disaster was covered up and BP got a slap on the wrist for using a well head sealing mechanism that was faulty.
- Fukishima is the biggest environmental disaster of all time. The Obama admin. raised the safe limits of exposure and moved metering equipment away from the west coast.
- The Obama administration promised transparency. We get more of the same greater use of the National Security excuse.
- Whistleblowers are hunted down and prosecuted like we have seen in no other administration
- In spite of a harsh economic environment; the Obama's have taken more vacations than any other "commander in Chief", and he has golfed more than any other president.
- He continued the attack on Christian values including the embracing of homosexuality and gay marriage, attacking the core of biblical and christian teachings. He is very pro abortion and wants the public to pay for them. No wonder America is coming under judgement. He embraces decadence and immorality
- The recent Ebola epidemic that is rocking Africa is reason to restrict travel from Ebola areas to the US. This president fast tracks visas from Ebola areas.
- Chemtrails are something that is raising the concerns of all Americans. There is a huge rise in respiratory problems and alzheimers and Morgellans but the government will not even acknowledge this program exists. The patents are available for anyone to see and the evidence is visible over any N. American urban area. There are high levels of barium and aluminum in soil samples even in areas remote from industrial development.
- Obama leads the charge on unpopular legislation like amnesty, and gun control and internet censorship all of which are unpopular. Liberty minded citizens must spend a fortune to protect themselves from this encroachment on sovereignty and freedom. Obama uses Executive Orders to get unpopular legislation passed. He uses them to bypass the congress and go to war (Syria)
- Obama was suppose to get America out of Iraq. Instead a group called ISIS appeared from nowhere and literally overran the country in days under the very nose of his intelligence apparatus.
- Under Obama the dollar has continued to come under downward pressure from irresponsible government economic policies. The administration continues to follow an economic policies that will not remedy the morass America finds itself in. It is trying to spend it's way out of a debt problem. The rest of the world knows it.
- Under Obama gov't has grown at the fastest pace in decades.
You decide if this guy gets a free pass. Now look at Harper:
- Passes a bail in law. Not even Obama did that
- Passes a hate law which restricts free speech
- Passes a law that will put you in jail for questioning the Palestinian genocide and other issues that are declared self evident. Obama has not done this yet
- Will not use the Bank of Canada to lend interest free to the Gov't. Instead he goes to private banks and borrows at cost.
- Staunch environmentalist but will not sign onto the Kyoto protocols because shutting down Ft. McMurray would put Canada in a recession.
- Canada is an exporter of petroleum yet Canadians pay the highest prices for gasoline of any petroleum exporting country on the planet. Personal tax rates are among the highest in the free world.

- Hosts a G20 conference that costs the taxpayer $1 billion.
Which of these guys deserves a free pass?

Given that DOMA was unconstitutional, in that marriage was not one of the responsibilities delegated to the federal government by that document, one cannot blame one for not prosecuting or enforcing said act.


OTOH, what unconstitutional laws one decides to enforce and what one decides to ignore does indicate one's mindset.
