The point of the whole exercise, is to know our Creator. To know all the facets and aspects of HIM that are possible for us to comprehend... and as a direct result of that knowing... to Love HiM.

Until we do that... until we are in that place, that place filled with a knowing wonder of love of HIM...then we are not "there"

That place isn't outward, nor is it showy... but it is soul deep. beyond that place, nothing else matters. Not salvation, not the return, not suffering... not anything but that..

Because THAT, is what it is about.

Would you recognize Jesus if he came back?

Not saying this guy is Jesus but the parallels are intriguing. I think everyone who is working against the PTB and PTW is a lightworker; which will win out, the goons and their paymasters or The People, remains to be seen.

HOLY MOLY!

I dunno if I'd recognize Jesus or not, but I know when I see concrete evidence of "NOT Jesus"!

Really? And your objection would be.... his looks? His resistance to authority? His living a truly authentic life?

Jesus was a liberal progressive anarchist, in case you hadn't noticed.

I couldn't say - I've not yet met or conversed with "all of them"- there are a few over a billion, and I have so little time to track them down these days for a conversation and some coffee.

All of them I've ran into so far believe it, though. They just have a different view of how it's gonna pan out, and how long Jesus rules.

Just another time table to worry about for those who worry over such things.

Jesus was none of those things. He was Himself and the Word. God is not a politician.

Nah.

We can start with the notion that I didn't see him making that claim anywhere, and then move on to such oddities as "crystals" and "orgone", and then go from there.

It may be his "looks" and his "resistance to authority" that are leading some folks to attempt that association.

I hadn't noticed any of those things you mention about Jesus - he seemed to have been pretty apolitical. The only political reference I can find that he made was his admonition to "Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and unto God those things which belong to God".

I'm missing the "liberal progressive anarchist" in that statement.

ETA: I don't even know what a "truly authentic life" is. What the heck is that? Who has a "truly fake life" to contrast it with? Life is life - what you do with it is yours to do.

What I am, or am not is not the topic of the OP. I won't join you in your discussion of my faith. What matters is can I have a conversation with you that is educated and appropriate to the topic.

I think God worries more about my soul than you do... and I see HIM as having the greater sincerity. Thank you for posting in the thread.

Honestly it is good to share such. It is news to me and has sparked intrigue. It is the first time i have heard such and that is why i asked the op. My view is that in the end all people will have a chance to recognize and accept him but many will not. Let's be clear though there is a general belief among most christians that is contrary to what you have said.

take it how you want or you could not judge me so quick and ask my intentions. you have shared your faith in many threads and does very much relate to your op.

I love Jesus, I expect the return of Jesus... I believe in the prophecies of His return. I don't hold any contempt for you... I just don't believe anything else is your business outside of what I have already offered freely.

Jesus is mentioned more times in the Quran than the Prophet Muhammed. Every single Muslim on earth believes in Jesus, believes he was born of a virgin, whose name was Mary, and that Jesus will return at the end times.

No Muslim has ever hid these beliefs from anyone. What people choose to ignore they will ignore no matter what... what they believe they will believe no matter what you say..

I didn't make this thread about Islam... its not part of the OP, nor something I am here to debate the religion of.

I am speaking specifically of the Return of Jesus Christ. If you would like you can discuss that with the rest of us.

Oh, I don't doubt that it's a general belief among Christians. Their strong point is Christianity, rather than Islam, however.

As it happens, I WAS a Muslim for a few years. Not a good one, and certainly not any authority in Islam (i.e. not anywhere approaching an "Islamic Scholar"), but the belief in Jesus is one of the things I am aware of. Entire suras of the Qur'an are devoted to Jesus, as "Isa bin Maryam", and even one to Mary, his mother.

If I have a question about what Methodists believe, I ask a Methodist. if a question about Catholicism, I ask a Catholic. Likewise, Christians should ask a Muslim before preaching what Islam believes. That's not much different from atheists telling us what "Christians" (what a generic term, in this context!) believe, without actually finding out from a Christian.

At The Last Day, at least some Muslims ( I hesitate to say "Muslims" generically, since there are now so many sects to choose from) believe that Jesus will return, fight along side the Mahdi, "break the cross" (i.e. destroy Christianity in favor of Islam), and rule for, as I recall, 40 years after the war.

Now their timetable differs, just as the timetables from Christian sect to Christian sect differ, but the main point is that they DO believe in Jesus, and that he will return - all else is details.

i have asked nothing else. so why the need to make out like i am. you can see it how you want but like i said to another member it is extremely rare on here to hear of a muslim accepting jesus and i am very glad it is happening and i am looking deeper into it because of your op and the single question i posed.

Some would go so far as to say that a thread with a topic such as yours expressing doubt about the word is just a ploy from a non believer. so my question was spot on. The answer is that the faithful need no plan b.

Is he the only begotton Son of God or just a prophet?

Nah, that was my fault - I mentioned Islam alongside Christianity and Judaism as examples of how they all have a time table for the end times culminating with the return of a religious figure in that first long-winded diatribe I posted.

It's not a matter of Muslims "accepting Jesus" - it has been so from day one, when the Qur'an first came to be. It's not anything new, although the realization among Christians in general may be entirely new.

Try actually looking into the man; there are several videos up interviewing him. I'm sorry you spent so much time responding when you don't have any information to go on.

That question is too far afield for this thread, and has already been treated in others. This thread is not about the divinity of Jesus, God, Allah, Buddha, or Bubba. It's about the potential for a loss of faith if people's preconceived notions based upon their subjective interpretations of eschatological matters in what they read just don't pan out. That question just leads to arguments over the meaning of "only begotten son" and the like, and leaves the track of the thread altogether.

FWIW, I believe he is both, and require no one else to see it my way.

I do not believe he is God himself, and I'm not Muslim any more.

The information on his Facebook page and his website were quite enough to make a determination. isn't that what Facebook pages and websites are for?

Your attempting to take my thread off topic, and make it about Islam itself... what does Jesus being the "only begotten" son of God have to do with Jesus' return and the events possibly not happening according to what people's perception of the prophecies are?

Why does sect or religion have to figure into it at all?

You are just sitting here wanting people to stop talking about the Return of Christ. I get it... wonderful... But I would like to talk about the Return of Jesus Christ.

It is in the thread title even, as well as in the OP... it says "HEY! Lets talk about the Return of Jesus Christ!"

If you don't want to speak of it then please... find somewhere else more fitting to what you want to talk about then! But stop ruining my thread... or trying to!

This bit, from his webpage, really pretty much cinched it:

Pachamama Portal Is: A Synergistic Focal Point, A Temple of Visionary Art – Sound Healing – Light – Sacred Geometry – Vortex Based Mathematics – Orgone Energy – Solar Power – Ceremony – Sustainability Consciousness.

Pachamama is a Goddess revered and celebrated by the indigenous peoples of the Andes. Commonly translated as “Mother Earth”, a more literal translation of Pachamama from the Quechua and Aymara languages to English would be “Mother Universe”.

A "mother goddess" from the Andes?

It doesn't help that I don't believe in that "lightworker" nonsense. They're welcome to keep working with their light, but I'm gonna keep loading magazines. We'll see which has more concrete effect in the end.

Besides, all those different colors made my head hurt. It looked like someone threw up a box of crayons.

nope i made no attempt. you done that yourself. it was one simple question based on your past post and the thread topic but you wanted to make it something else. all your other implications you make of me is just to steer away from my premise that Jesus is the only son of god and the only path to god. no other plans will work. it is clear you have hidden contempt for me and the question i posed based on your op. either way carry on he will be here soon and guns won't help anyone.
