Well the first issue is simple

God, if SHE has a problem with LGBT's, is a big enough of a girl she can handle them herselves
She doesnt need my help or your help

God couldn't be a she. Woman love gay males and never complain about LBs. God on the other hand has been known to go nuclear on gays. LOL

Tolerance, Safety, and Love doesn't pay for trips to Europe and fill collection plates.

It's all a show. He is a stage actor and every Sunday, people pay their tickets to be titillated with dire warnings, doom porn, hear decent choirs, and (not sure about all denominations, but when I was younger, in the Midwest, my mom sent me to Methodist church for a minute and so...) have a nice brunch afterword.

Christianity in the United States is quickly becoming cultural, as witnessed by large portions of those professing to be Christians not being able to answer many fundamental questions about his teachings. Back in the day, people knew about Jesus. It was a big deal. I mean, if the stories were true, we are talking about the God of all things becoming a human, coming to Earth, and teaching his doctrine to the world.

I know if I were a believer in that, NOTHING could POSSIBLY be more important.

Seriously, nothing in my life could be more important than securing my eternal soul... and yet... it doesn't seem to be that big a deal to a growing number of Americans. We're behind Europe in this regard because America was colonized by the tyrannical religious nutters trying to escape the what became The Enlightenment.

We'll get there. This guy will help, even if he doesn't completely understand that he IS helping.

Hardcore Christian people, or rather, American hardcore Christians are probably one of the most hatefull people you could find in the world from what i understand. Like seriously, I really think that. Not Christians mind you, hardcore, baptism church stuff, they seem to have something (alot) wrong in their heads.

I really dont want to make fun of Christians, or any other religion, but I think they are a pretty weird bunch believing in a book, in ludacris stories written by ...some guys, centuries ago. And I know that when Cristians heard about Kim Jong-Il making every 18 holes on the gol track a hole-in-one shot, they laughed at it. When they heard about North Korea sending a man to the Sun, they laughed at it. Moses split the Red Sea in two, DEAD-SERIOUS. Jesus walked on water, DEAD-SERIOUS.

Im pretty proud being a Swede and live in a country that priority common sense.

I don't take that to heart. Why? Gays are about a thinned skinned as they come. Tender little hostile narcissist many times. Arrogant and snooty brats. Just look at the sort of abuse they pour out on an opposing position. Nero and Caligula...big time gays. Very violent.

I don't know where people get off calling the Vikings of old "intolerant." They certainly were merciless raiders but when it came time to settle or trade they were anything but "intolerant."

LOL! Good one. Yea there wasn't anyone left to be intolerant of when they got done.

Good thing history doesn't have any heterosexual insane, thin-skinned, tender little hostile narcissists in it that acted like arrogant snooty brats that pour out abuse on opposing positions. And violence! You NEVER see that from heterosexuals!

Excellent post!

Its the northern mindset and culture as we have never been very religious. The bible belt pastor´s journey to understand nordic people is a bit off as he is looking the way nordic people believe through a glasses which are dimmed by the expectations and learnt religious behavior he is common with.
People in here can be religious but religion is not such an institution as it is elsewhere, its not teached to our kids from childhood instead we value everyone´s own choices and decisions they make in their life path, is it religious or not . Faith is a personal matter and it is between God ( and whatever they believe ) and themselves. Faith in God doesn´t require churches either, it doesn´t require active involvements in church activies.
No one is declining you the choice to belief and no one is forcing you to it, no brainwashing ( except fundamentalists homes ) and the decision is yours and no one elses.
When people moved in here 10 000 years ago, in this cold climate, land of forests and wild animals. They were hunter gatherers even at the times when Europe they allready farmed lands. Northern mindset is reclusive so are their religious behavior.

I am simply saying that gays don't get a pass. Why should they? They are simply one element of a complete list of behavior that is said to be contrary to good human behavior. I don't know that anyone else mentioned demonstrate nearly the venom that gays do toward christians.

Besides who is actually stopping anyone these days from doing anything they feel like doing? If they are so comfortable then just blow off the criticism.

I have always found this quite interesting:

God says marriage is between a man and woman and Jesus comes along and doubles down on that teaching ... in the middle of the Roman Empire no less! It seems pretty clear to me what God intends where marriage is concerned.

For not only during HIS time but atleast throgh the time of Charlemain, "godlymen" had multiple wives. ie: Charlemain had 6 wives and 6 concubines while being crowned Emporer of Rome by the Pope.

It would seem the institution of marriage is a construct of man and changes with the times; so to speak.
Does this seem to be a hard and fast rule set down by GOD? If so there is no hope for nayone " for we have all fallen short" and most of us will never get up.

That's not what you were indicating before. I'm glad you cleared up your point. However, I still don't get what you mean by, "Gays don't get a pass." A pass to what? Heaven? Please.

Isn't this against the rules? If this post would've said "Blacks" or "Jews" instead of "Gays" would this post still be allowed on the forums?

Sounds just wrong, right? What happened to: don't judge, if you don't want get judged?
Or: who is without a flaw may throw the first stone?
I was watching an awesome witches of Salem documentary a few days ago, and was thinking how damaging this strict upbringing has to be. Don't do that, or you go to hell. Don't think that, or you go to hell. And now it also is, don't love or you go to hell? That's just a weird way to embrace: love your neighbour...
And isn't the golden rule in Christianity: don't do what you wouldn't want to be done to you?
Sounds like he is feeling bigger than god, who gave him the right to say what god would want? Did he meet him? Actually talk to him in person? And if so doesn't that maybe mean he could be suffering from some kind of psychological dissorder?
I just hope he has no children-must be aweful to grow up in such a hateful, personality bending, environment.

Ten thousand 250 pound hairy painted soldiers, each carrying swords that could weigh 30 pounds screaming "Til Valhall!!!!" to the sound of shaking spears and hammering on their shields: Beats "Allah Akbar" even on a Sunday. I wouldn't call the ones fleeing cowards. I would call them sensible.

And btw. Hell is from Helios, Greek name of the Sun, but it is also a cognate of Hel as in the Norse goddess Hel and her freezing after-death kingdom Helheim, where she sits and plans Ragnarok together with Balder and Odin and all the others who didn't die by sword, but from age, poisoning or disease and similar. There is a hotline running from Helheim to Gimli run by the squirrel skald Ratatosk (in Yggdrasil Hel is Nidhogg, the serpent biting Yggdrasil's roots) who exchange secret messages hidden in bad jokes and curses between them.

Are you saying you are a better person because of your "normal" sexual preference? Eat rocks you filthy quissling! We are talking about adult people who happens to fall in love with people of their own gender. If I ever go to Hell, it will be to grill people like you and that Judas pastor of yours. Pft.
