Agreed! I love The Cramps and many psycho/rockabilly bands but Human Fly never caught on with me.

Back in the day one of my friends used to get bands to play at his house every weekend from all over the country. Mostly just underground type people but others you would know..

There was some really bad stuff I half remember, haha..

There is a thing called "Noise Bands"

Or

Unicorn basement?

I actually have a unicorn basement shirt haha.

Some of the stuff was bad and good at the same time like math the band..

I quite enjoyed skimming Noise Nomads, but then i actually genuinely think The Buttholes are an all time great band

Hmm, but Unicorn Basement?? Do you wear that T-Shirt in public?

Crap?

Those bring back memories. Back then, Max Headroom was one of the few programs worth watching.
I thought this was the worst Art of Noise video.

That "19" video reminds me of Sam Ridgeway's Camouflage.

But the crappest video must be Musical Youth and Pass the Duchy. At the time they were interviewed, "Duchy" was the term used for the school truant inspector:

Was that meant to rubbish or something? I grooved to it and i haven't taken any drugs for at least a few days.

Skunkape posted this in a similar thread a few weeks back. I liked it.

Of course haha. It's a pretty awesome shirt. I'm into not being so serious. Makes serious people want me to be serious, which is seriously funny to me.

Plus Id go to a unicorn basement show anyday. They're nice people when they aren't "putting on a show" There's something really fun about listening to not such great music that's being played enthusiastically deadpan sarcastically.
drink up and get way too into it.. Some of my best times ever have been listening to bad music with "hardcore kids."

So no to unicorn basement aye?
I can keep coming with it.. Kitten Forever.

Kindest respects from an aging punkabilly....

OMG! you not yet 50, and all you can do is reminisce about weemen?
Right sonny, Go and join a band..you won't have time for all that bull. In the meantime just relax and listen to a bit of, 'soft pop' as the pundits like to say courtesy of Sad Cafe, and 'Every day hurts' with the late Paul Young. I just know the discipline needed to produce that song, that's hard graft and talent and a great sound..feck the lyrics!
