Everyones got jokes, but that one made me cringe and chuckle at the same time.
Went through the /_chat.php source tried modifying the href pointer with different strings, tried taking out hashed pass and inputing clear, tried
going through the 123flashchat behind.js, went through 123flashchat cache.js, also scanned and ping tested the 123flashchat hosts and subdomains to
make sure they were still up, again. I don't know what the issue is **shrugs** It's clear that they probably were not getting hit with a DDoS as
SkepticOverlord mentioned they had reported.
What it looks like (imo) is that somehwere along the way 123flashchat is unable to locate or confirm
init_user=User_Name_Here&init_password=Hashed_Password_Here. Which I assume (possibly incorrectly) is stored on a MySQL or PostgreSQL type DB
somewhere.
People see "Anon" in a nick name and panties get all twisted up. What have you done to help? at least I give a damn enough to try and help the
staff a bit. Because I try to have some fun while doing so doesn't mean i'm just sitting back and complaining. So, now, what was a board business
issue is now relegated to the off topic forum. Well done.
If i sound frustrated it's because i am. ATS is a long time favorite corner of the internet for me. I enjoy the chat, the boards, the mod team, all
of it. If there was more that I could do to help, i would. But unless the bossman suddenly changes his views of IRC chats, or 123flashchat suddenly
decides to not suck, I'm pretty much sidelined for the rest of the game.
/end butthurt rant. the propper butthurt forms have been filled out and submitted. Oitment has been applied to the butthurt. Beer has been opened.
