This begs the question,

ISIS recruits here to fight against us as a people not against our governments. Is it logical for us to start considering fighting ISIS ourselves? The governments of the world will probably do very little aside from air strikes that are actually profitable for them. Are we in our right to organize militias and take the fight to them?

The dangers of leaving it to government are that if they are actually as corrupt as some say, government will only weaken them enough to keep at arms length but still very much active. Corrupt governments will keep them as a valid boogeyman that they themselves may have created inadvertently or not through agencies like the CIA.

IMO the only way to make sure they are dead and no longer a threat is to do it ourselves. Also I am rather excited about the idea of circumventing government to end conflicts that our soldiers are sent to with "no win tactics" and the possibility of killing people that are not our real enemies. The exclusivity of violence and conflict should be removed from government and this seems like a justifiable cause to do just that.

I would like to see militias brought back to deal with threats without the red tape and BS that comes with state sponsored interventionism. Its the last bastion of the military industrial complex, to wage wars in places most of us cant find on a map but done so in our name. What if WE WAGE THE WARS we deem worthy and only ask them for support?

If I was single, younger, and not a father with more on the way, I would be going to help the Kurds kill some of these people. Hell, I still think about it. I know others do.

Who wants to terrorize some ISIS fighters over there instead of our defenseless just receiving over here?

That's true - but perhaps not detonated because cell phones had been jammed in the area around parliament - and one shooter dead who may of had a device to detonate? I think AFP via the RT news link I posted back said they had his cell phone.

The lockdown at the Rideau Centre Mall has apparently been lifted, although police are still actively looking for a second shooter. No news or comment about a possible third shooter who got away on a motorbike.

Ottawa police now saying there was not a third shooting scene, contrary to earlier reports. Lockdown situation has been lifted at some schools outside central radius.

This is 99% coordinated attack from sleeper cells from ISIS, Al Qaeda or other smaller radical muslim jihadi organisation. In Canada is easier to attack than US.My house is better secured then Canadian parliament.
Solution- ban the Islam , restrict immigration for muslims. Those who want to stay will must reject islam , for example democratic Germany banned some books, its easy. Multiculturalism with Islam is not possible. It's either them or us.Values and practicising Islam is fundamentally opposed to western values.

What's happened in Britain?

Did I miss the memo?

Hello stumason my comment was based on what has happened in Britain as of late..with the attacks on your soldiers by Muslim terrorists using cars and then butchering them with machetes not to mention all the threats coming from Muslim clerics.
Like you we welcomed these people into our country to enjoy freedoms and live lives under our laws and are now having to fight them over introduction of sharia law.

Just saying.

You would argue that government is out of control in its war for profit scheme. I say take that away from them and let people see for themselves if they want to fight an enemy they may or may not see as a threat.

The only people telling us who to fight is the same government you say profits from war and lies to us. What if we were the ones to fight wars only we chose to be involved in?

What if instead of front line journalism, you had millions of people telling you what is really going on? Instead of black water or other mercenary outfits gunning down people indiscriminately, you had fellow citizens only killing the people they KNOW to be the real enemy, if any exists at all?

How long do you think the Iraq war would have lasted if most fighting wasnt done by paid mercenaries or official soldiers who cant defy orders really?

Have you heard of problem-reaction- solution? You don't believe it is a useful tactic?

Sure have.

Like in the wake of the Boston bombing pipe bombs were reclassfied as 'weapons of mass destruction'.

In the wake of events in Ottawa guns will be reclassifed as 'weapons of mass destruction' the ground work has already been laid.

We gotten things like the TSA where dangerous objects such as shampoo, and other bottled stuff are have been 'deemed' dangerous. Where people now get groped, and other nonsense.

We ended up with the Patriot Act that was a rehash of two already existing laws such as the FISA Act of the 70s. The Omnibus Counter Terrorism Act of the 90s, and the most recent 'rendition' called the NDAA, and it's indefinite detentions.

Because why ?

Politicians never let any crisis go to waste.

But politics can be summed up NO MATTER where one goes as:

Create problems to create 'solutions' that cause MORE problems.

But that is not to dismiss the threat that terrorism IS to the west.

Because religion DOES NOT RULE the west. Where as it does the ME.

From where ALL terrorism comes from.

Because their politics, and religion is a marriage made in hell. Where it's ok to kill the infidels.

Like what we saw in recent events in Iraq.

I think they stopped waiting for crisis's a long time ago. ISIL pops up as the campaign for the 7 countries - Gen. Wesley Clark came out with on 'Democracy Now' - hits a PR roadblock. Now suddenly everyone is screaming for troops in the ME, even those that are very aware of the tricks that can be pulled to manufacture consent.

I am starting to think that the camp david accord ended with the vow to destroy Islam and we have been witnessing the operation action. I remember when Islam was the religion that those that wanted to ESCAPE violence ran to. That was the 90's... not that long ago. And Islam didnt really blow up till the US backed a monster in Iran and Islam was the peoples defence.

Yo AQ did not exist until the soviet with drawl of Afghanistan.

But then again 'My government' wasn't the only ones there:

The Soviet war in Afghanistan lasted nine years from December 1979 to February 1989. Part of the Cold War, it was fought between Soviet-led Afghan forces against multi-national insurgent groups called the Mujahideen, mostly composed of two alliances – the Peshawar Seven and the Tehran Eight. The Peshawar Seven insurgents received military training in neighboring Pakistan and China,[8] as well as weapons and billions of dollars from the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.[2][3][4][8][26] The Shia groups of the Tehran Eight alliance received support from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Early in the rule of the PDPA government, the Maoist Afghanistan Liberation Organization also played a significant role in opposition, but its major force was defeated by late 1979, prior to the Soviet intervention. The decade-long war resulted in the death of 850,000–1.5 million civilians[23][24] as well as causing millions of Afghans to flee the country, mostly to Pakistan and Iran.

en.wikipedia.org...

The Peshwar Seven.

The Tehran Eight.

But hey why let history get in the way of that crap.

Islam is doing a fine job of that on it's own.

Can't blame the west because the ME is no different than when Mohammed walked the earth.

I don't believe in coincidences. This is 3 soldiers killed in 3 days.

In my eyes this is obviously some sort of terrorist attack.

I am having a hard time making that connection.

Sure if they were getting beheaded like the British Soldier not too long ago.

Or bombs.

But shootings ?

Still sounds like domestic to me.

Maybe the Canadian radicals do not have the guts to do a beheading and at heart (oops they lost that when they radicalized) are truly not capable of this. However if they are radicalized Canadians I hope that this will wake up those who think this can't happen here and take strong action on this growing problem. I do believe this is home grown as well.
Well in all honesty the attack that happened yesterday was very similar to the Rigby incident except that he did not follow through as the Radicals in England did.

That's an interesting perspective.

All attacking civilians does is piss everyone off. Attacking LEOs an military or government might find some on their side, kinda?

I can't help that they are dumbasses.

Everyone with a brain cell knows what terrorism is. Governments and the MSM and the UN and whoever else playing with the word doesn't change the definition of either the word or concept.
