Sounds like his guardian angel or a helpful soul group member was watching over him, for sure!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it's it is good to be very cautious with spirits that come around kids. Demons will disguise themselves as something good so they can get close to a child without them fearing it.
At the same time, it is important to make sure it is not an earthbound ghost that needs help. I don't like to be mean to spirits that are lonely, just seeking someone to talk to.

It is hard to know the difference at first. I think once the adults found out about it, if the "thing" started causing a lot of disturbing activity in the home, people started getting depressed, argumentative, etc. then it is probably a demon.

Better safe than sorry, if that's how you feel.

I believe children could see things we as adults no longer can because we have been conditioned not to believe in it or conditioned to believe we cannot see them. However children on the other hand not only have not been condisioned yet for such things but there closer to I don't really know what to call it maybe the ether in either case they are closer to it being so young there for they have the ability to see them for easily.

Yes, when children are that young, they are still "attached" to the astral world, which makes it much easier for them to see and communicate with spirits there. As we grow older we become more conditioned to only experiencing things on this earthly plane. And with parents telling children that what they are seeing isn't real, that just reinforces them to stop believing.

Skimmed this post a little so appologies but will recount a story from a few years ago.

A freinds son was naughty, and I do mean naughty.

Rebelious, aggresisve sometimes violent.

We went on a group holiday and for nearly a week he was really well behaved. On the day before we left we went to get ice creams, just myself and the little man in question.

I complimented him on his good behavior and offered to buy him something extra from the shop as a "well done" for being so good.

He was only six at the time and I thought he had just tried really hard to be good but he told me something.

He looked me straight in the eye and told me that it was not him that was naughty but his imaginary friend and that he had made him stay home just for one week whilst he had a holiday with his family.

He then told me that it was never him that did the bad things but his freind was bigger than him and he always gave in to him.

We went for ice creams and I spoke to his mother about this but he always denied it ever happened afterwards.

Yeah, I've seen shows on t.v. where kids were influenced by a bad spirit to make them do evil things. This was a low-level spirit, or a demon. Demons come in different levels of evil too.

I hope this thing didn't attach to your brother. If he has had bad luck, depression, oppression, etc. throughout his life, it could still be with him. Hopefully, that isn't the case.

Thanks for sharing.

Time for me to get ready for work. Have a good night/day, everyone. Keep the stories coming!

A pirate? That's interesting.
It could have been someone from a past life, or it could have been an earthbound soul that was just looking for company.

Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing but we actually did have sailors that came to Alaska. And possibly I said captain and everybody thought pirate. And maybe the person was just a regular sailor? not sure but I have no ideas and I wish I could remember his name.

Pretty freaky stories, I would say that most of those kids need to get themselfs some new imaginary friends. But I suppose imaginary friends are just like real life friends, some of them can be real bad influences which we just need to grow out of.

Let me guess... You don't believe there is a spirit world.

Well, there are the earth-bound souls, and then you have demons that disguise themselves as a human spirit too.

I've already discussed this in the thread.

He wasn't really a friend but when my niece was about 2-3 she would see Mike in the corner.

We asked her what he looked like she said he had big eyes, was angry and needed a blanket because he was cold.

She said it so seriously, very creepy.

My best friends younger sister could see angels after she was diagnosed with an incurable auto-immune disease. She would talk with them and play with them. One day my best friend & her Mom could hear the younger sister laughing joyfully when she was supposed to be resting. They quietly opened the bedroom door to see the younger sister throw open the closet doors in the bedroom & excitedly proclaim, "I found you!" They asked her what she was doing & she told them "playing hide & go seek with the angels." She was able to see them for the first year she was sick, that's when things were pretty scary and rough.

The creepiest thing kids (and adults) ever said about their imaginary friend is that they believe they were talking to GOD.

I was and still am an only child, as a result I had an "imaginary friend" until about the age of 5. Now this quiet common with only children and has been put down to the lonly only creating social interaction with their self! Now I am looking back to those days and what's interesting to me is I have absolutely no recollection of this "friend" and I never have even as a slightly older child you would think that I would remember but I just don't, its as though that has been wiped from my consciousness! Now my mother was convinced there was something there from my interactions with what ever was there!!!

My youngest child would come crying to us when he was about three. He spoke of a man in the shower at our house. He would refuse to use the hallway bathroom because this guy was always standing in the shower. He made us always leave the shower curtain open so the man could not hide behind the curtain and scare him. He called the man Teecoth, not sure how to spell it. He is now 7 and still deathly afraid to be in the dark. He also is afraid of being alone, even in the day time. I will never forget him saying, "Teecoth scared me." He used to point out every person with a beard when we would go out and would say Teecoth.

He hasn't brought him up in years, but his fear of the dark continues to this day.

Interesting!

When I was around four or five I came down with the measles. I was soooooooo sick! My mother put me in her bed during the day because it was the closest to the living room.
One evening just after dusk, (making it dark in the bedroom) I was in her bed feeling like I was going to die. I looked over to her sliding door double closet and a huge bright cross formed on the doors.
I called my older sister to come in, and she saw it too. It gave me comfort; a peaceful, calming effect radiated from it.
I have no doubt it was a sign from my angels that they were watching over me.

I remember that feeling it gave me to this day, and I am well into my fifties.
