Better to be like Russia where you get rid of the opposition and anybody who runs is your personal puppet. Or better yet, send in the troops and have a vote with no debate or allowed opposition like in Crimea. Although it will be intersting to see how that type of goverment will do with and economy in free fall. Putin better be on his knees praying something happens to spike oil prices.

Our Ukraine was the name of his party. Naturally, American diplomats discuss the politics of the country they are stationed in with that country's politicians. That is their one of their functions. Poroshenko was probably saying similar things to the Russian diplomatic corps to elicit their support.

Not sure that NAF has the ability to conduct an offensive warfare going all the way to Lviv or Kiev. However, it looks Kremlin ordered them to sign cease fire for even partial Donbass territory under them. NAF does not have complete Donbass at hand and they were made to sign the cease fire.

Recent fighting on Donetsk airport showed that to be the attacking party one needs atleast 2 to1 advantage in everything. Also, just a day ago, the army surplus stores that were supplying NAF with ammo etc. have been closed and it is even said that FSB is harassing the organizations that are pitching for NovoRossiya.

Is Putin going to leave it as a frozen conflict and have people barely scrape by with occasional artillery shelling and constant harassment by Junta's SBU and other right sector thugs? That would be stupid thing to do.

If NovoRossiya does not become a reality, the evil forces will spread on to play the same game on Russia i.e. try to destroy it.

Putin and his advisers are more wise than to let that happen.

You do understand that Yanukovych was a corrupt president and that is what became his downfall...but of course it's easier to blame a small portion of the population than it is to blame the real problem.

And you may want to look into why Yanukovych was being impeached before blaming others for his downfall.

We all know how it works, the 3 you want it to go about you will talk about and have them show up in polls as most likely candidates. We have 11 parties over here, I know how it works of getting another Western puppet.

You seem to have no knowledge of the political process in other Western countries.

With polls and news suggesting between which candidates the race will be, most are always choosing which ones they think will be the best among the top candidates. That`s how elections get rigged in many so called democracies.

So the choice was actually between just a few and those were all Western puppets.

Maybe you can fool yourself as to there were actual honest elections, but not me.

The only thing you got is your own delusion about it being honest elections.
