At some point a line needs to be drawn and a sanity-check needs to be made. I'm thinkin' that time is right about when folks start wanting to play God Bless America when a meteorite crosses the skies of Japan (! !) and other folks want to sing a lonesome-cowpoke-song for the lonely stealth bombers that have no one to kill.



The problem has to do with the manufacture of consent. Not with how people accomodate living in a world with giant invisible flying abattoirs.

could be both.

eta: tech is compellingly attractive. it's easy to overlook the end result of militarized tech development when weighed against the potential civilian applications. and some look at military tech as a necessary evil for the foreseeable future, and therefore beneficial in its own right.

but speaking personally, guns and jets and bombs and, yes, even swords are #ing awesome. it's just too bad that their sole function is to kill other human beings.

Hey C'mon.

Lighten up; “ghoulish proclivites” is a far cry from calling you out as some sort of “war monger”, or whatever. I was trying to be warm and funny.

I struggle with the same thing. With all sincerity, I do. All this stuff had me so excited that I had giant SR-71 wallpaper up on my big monitor with rotating images for about a week til I came to my senses.

I'm bringing this up because it needs to be brought up. If for no other reason than that, if it weren't brought up, than we may as well round-file everything we have learned about all of the subjects that members come to ATS to try and understand.

Even if this is considered to be like some kind of “mini-SERPO”, and it has just a tiny little footprint here at ATS, the social impact of the story has to be assessed against everything we know about other stories like it and the impact that they have had, and are still having, on people.

C'mon. Cut me some slack.

I, too, go through some mental gymnastics about this stuff... my daddy bombed the crap outta nazis and poor civis in the initial air war over Europe in WWII and he had a crushed soul forever after 'cause of that... but he said he'd do it again.

It's a tough wall to walk... truth is there are terrible people who would kill for wealth, power or for killing's sake...and I'm happy we have other killers on our side to watch our butts... BUT the black world seems to have spun off into non-accountability at best... and if #nSippy's# info is real ...at all... there are some serious other concerns dealing with our very consciousness... either way, the tech itself is cool as heck and it will propel us to the stars someday, if not already... and a thinking military guy will tell ya it's primarily there to stop bloodshed... the 18 yr old enlisted guy on the front lines may have a different, more ignorant opinion.

As far as your feelings... sorry for the seemingly flippant attitude on my own part ... but I do take this stuff seriously and if not myself, I am at least close to some folks who nearly committed suicide over this abduction/mind invasion stuff.

I have some questions about some personal matters as well.

And yes, this narrative is the closest to a 'logical' answer I've heard... and that in itself is worth something.

The powers that be are the answer to whom is doing that stuff to alien adductees. They use th e technology given to them from the Romeo kilos in exchange for them being able to go about their own business un disturbed. WHo are they? they are humans except they live way longer.
