I dont care is 300 or 400 milion , for me 1 milion is enough BIG number.You dont understand , i dont want to read the Quran , you can read it 24/7 if you like , you can have 1000 pictures from prophet in your home , you can pray 50 times a day as long you abide by the law and dont hurt another, which is not the case in last 20 years in most Western countries.

For me its not about religion so much, as conquering territory and resources… Empire Building.
Thats as old as the world and religion has always played a part. I mean organized religion not true spirituality. I respect all cultural and religious freedom. The state however promotes religious and class division and hate as an excuse to wage war. In Gods name or God is on our side, that kind of thing.

This propaganda from the state is effectively turning some away while blinding others. Still others promote it in media knowing full well what they are doing. Imo, they are as religious as the cretins on various videos shouting "Allah Akbar" as they fire weapons at "the enemy".

I look at these types of threads and see all the hate in them, then i realize human nature is human nature. ISIL killed some people and all hell brakes lose. But how many people will be killed in our own countries this week by "normal" people. as the old saying goes "Guns don't kill people, I kill people". People kill people and really, we don't need much of a reason to to it. religion A vs religion B, some civil war somewhere or the mob on Saturday night that bash a guy to death because they thought he looking at them. How can we have any world peace when we can't even have peace with each other in our own backyards.

Ok, i openly declare disbelief, and what now ?

You get told you're an infidel and enslaved until convert and pay a "fine". If you live in the Sudan, you get killed. Not a peaceful religion by any means. This little letter is a start but it's not a concrete statement.

My mother who is as white as the driven snow and not muslim spends a month or so in Sudan every few years and I can vouch for the fact she has never been killed or forced to convert, her husband is muslim. The only place in the ME they had issues(not allowed to enter) was Saudi Arabia..needed permits and approval to travel together.
Just some reality, your right though bad things can happen in parts of Sudan no doubt but you can't paint with too broad a brush.
The radicalized element is extremley dangerous but it doesn't represent the majority, we have been needing to hear more from the majority and this is a start.
