Spiritual orbs have an aura too.
The different colors have meanings.

A blue aura suggests they are peacemakers and offer calmness to the area.

The orbs I have seen were bigger, more like basketballs,
so I know they exist.
a reply to: Darkblade71

That orb is the size that was photographed over my wife's head. It looked very similar with a more dense ring around the outside. I'm still looking through my folder photos to post it. I can see how these orbs can easily be mistaken for dust or moisture particles. Some definitely are, but some can't easily be explained away.

Here's the problem with that reasoning. On more than one occasion, I've taken photographs of the same room area approximately seconds apart without moving from my position . Dust particles wouldn't vanish on the next shot nor would they float and change position that quick to the other side of the room. Not only that, a dust particle the size of a basketball would easily be seen with the naked eye. You can possibly attribute a vanished dust orb by the change in the angle of the dust particle and the removal of the light source. However, unless there is some air current in the room, those dust particles are not all going to change their position frame by frame.

In the OP's video, there's clearly a professional examining and analyzing his lady friend's video. The guy gave his unbiased evaluation and clearly looked at the video frame by frame. I would have to give more credence to someone who has a background in shooting and analyzing videos. Also, justifying a moving dust particle moving that fast in a video is really hard to explain.

I also have years of experience developing and using special effects in black and white film developing and color photography. So I'm well aware of lens reflections, and lighting effects. I definitely believe some orbs are dust reflections, but just because something looks the same as something else doesn't always mean it is. There are a lot of things in our everyday environment that look very similar from a distance.

When a person has had no physical experience or has never had the chance to scientifically analyze two similar organisms, or physical characteristics, it's easier to rely on what you've seen or know. Mistaken identity is not only experienced in the area of law.

Here is a big one that someone sent me, but I don't see a face, so I don't know about this. But, it's HUGE!

Well, you can see faces in them so that pretty much determines they're paranormal or ufology related.

Yes!
Or maybe it's close to the camera and the speaker is not.

Not as disembodied somethings.
More as "ghosts" of neurological processes.

Ahh, interesting and a good way to look at it.

I had this following experience, how do you think that fits into your way of thinking?
I saw something in a different country, heard a name and saw occupation (orthodox priest) in a old hotel in a non english speaking country and then was shown by the hotel owner the person existed a long time ago?

How did that ghost that wasn't a memory of mine happen?

NB take it at face value i'm not telling tales

You picked up a subconscious clue from somewhere. Our brains are really good at doing that.

I once had a dream that I was hang gliding over a valley that I had flown over many times. But in this dream there was a golf course in the valley. I didn't like that dream. Later I read about the plans to build a golf course in that valley. Was it a prescient dream? No, I had heard, but not consciously remembered, hearing about those plans. It hadn't registered consciously but the memory was there.

And yes, the golf course is there.

This video is what I feel it's like talking to other ATS members sometimes.

Never mind the blinking obvious let's believe the most ludicrous hairbrained nonsense instead.

"It's a spirit orb, I can see eyes and a mouth"

I think I'm going to have to stop coming here before I go mad.

I think it's like this...

thenaturalhistorian.com...

If you look at that series of pictures, it fairly obvious how small flying insects look when out of focus.

In the video where the "blue lights" are, you can obviously see there is a light being used with the camera. The bugs will pick that up and "glow" when they approach the camera.

Where is your actual analysis?

lol

Are you just saying it looks to cartoony to be real?

"Analysis" is a verb. Something that you do. It is not a noun (a name of an object). My analysis consisted of reducing the overall picture to components and seeing if there was consistency in each of the various parts.

Since the "eyes" are not actually shaped like eyes, the "mouth" is not actually shaped like a mouth and the "nose" is not actually shaped like a nose, reductio ad adsudum, the "face" cannot actually be a face.

An obvious case of apophenia and pareidolia.

And since the "eyes" not being shaped like human eyes, the "mouth" not being shaped like a human "mouth", and the "nose" not being shaped like a human nose, the face cannot actually be a human face.
Therefore it must be a spirit face, since spirit IS energy, and in this example is imitating the same positions on the "face" of where the "eyes", "mouth", and "nose" are on a human face to the best of "it's" ability.

Yes, Phage, I had considered this, even before you posted your golden words of wisdom. And while this could be the case in this picture (IDK), I have had people tell me they saw orbs this big with their own eyes. So, ?????????????????????

I agree, and don't underestimate our brains and what they can do.
Maybe they CAN help form a imprint of consciousness on the 'electricity' that powers us.

Regarding my example, I had arrived in Turkey that day, went to a town called Ayvalik, walked into a boutique hotel that was very bohemian. Had to pull over there as the car we set out in needed gas and figured this place was good as any.

This was at dusk and we were a walk in to ask if they had a room I looked up and through the corridor into the kitchen I clearly saw a "shimmery" man in orthodox greek preistly wear ( i thought he looked like medieval arab or seething. It placed its hand over its mouth to indicate no speech but odly I heard "Georgi" . I could see the door frame through him.

Being me, I blabbed out to my friends and the lady at the desk "OMG-yes like a teenage girl seeing paris hilton- a ghost look!"

My friends looked where I pointed, and one (out of three) saw for a split second "a shimmery bearded guy in olden day clothes" Yes she as very technical in her description.

The reception lady, said "oh thats one of the priests who use to live here hundreds of years ago."
I told her how he covered his mouth.
She said they were Greek orthodox that some of them she had discovered had taken vows of silence and he was showing me that.

She was scared when she first saw him 20 years ago she thought she was seeing a djinn. What a sweetie.

I told her I heard a name and she said "Jiorgi"

So thats my story phage, I can't agree I happened to read the exact situation that went on there in a town I'd never heard of with a old lady who didn't even have internet to write her story.
The place looked like a traditional ottoman house, not what I think of as a monastery. So my brain must be amazing to have sourced that info, or simpler answer is I saw and heard a ghost

Shared that not to convert you, more to express why this atheist can believe in ghosts.
