Yup, back then it was probably dangerous just to fart in impolite company. But it seems there could be electromagnetic disturbance over a period of days so similar to the Carrington event in this case.

Before your Thread popped up and I never saw any news on this anywhere either...

My ESP's are more powerful than I know.

Well we should be in store for a nice light show at least. That's what I'm hopping for. I've never seen the northen lights and I live to far south to see them where I live. This might push them enough so that I might be able to see them for once. Well that's if it hits us at night and not in the middle of the day, that would just be a big let down.

I see no reason to panic, no utilities are going to go down from this.

We have a 40% chance of more X-class solar flares, which could be stronger next time around. I will keep my eye on this.
