I want my emoticons back!

I don't know what's wrong...
the Tampermonkey icon is there next to the url location - and a small red 1 is showing...I thought that indicates that 1 script is running - but apparently not?
should it be green?

The emoticons are probably one long png or gif with span tags being used. Bandwidth is definitely not the issue. They're more cartoonish and that's probably what they are going for. I'm not hating on them at all, it's their site, they can do as they wish. And, as popular as it is, they're doing a damn good job.

You can upload your own personal emoticons to the site if you want. It's just a lot more aggravating to use them. But it brings the fun back

Whaaa....

Try clicking on the red icon and see if it turns green. I use Firefox so I'm not entirely sure how it works on Chrome, but I know it works because someone else used it on Chrome.

I would suggest reading a quick tutorial on how to install and enable scripts in Tampermonkey, it's probably just a simple problem.

EDIT: also make sure you have JavaScript enabled on abovetopsecret.com

Yes I have done that but it's pretty awkward. Installing ChaoticOrder's script with greasemonkey on Firefox seems the best solution with the image upload as backup for those moments when something extra is needed.

Yup, I did all that, and the little red "1" is still there.
When I click on the icon, it says it's enabled. But - no dice. I'm still seeing the lame-o smileys.

Oh well - I'll survive. Bigger fish to fry.
