they're used as a concealed weapon for security personnel all over the place.

they were designed to be a close defense weapon....kind of a waste on the battlefield, unless you're a chopper or fighter pilot...

a bodyguard is a close personal friend and works in LA's bel air for the rich people there.

we talked about guns at length, he said (after two tours in the east) in close combat you want a good reliable handgun no machine guns and stuff, and i trust him entirely, hes a war vet and a trained personal security expert

it's not entirely accurate....i play a lot of video games...the first gun i ever fired was a Beretta M9. it only took me about 10 minutes to adapt to it's individual quirks, and i was able to be fairly accurate, didn't lose control of it, didn't hurt myself, and didn't kill anyone. this was years ago..... O,o ...quite a few years ago, actually.....anyway, it took me a lot of time and effort to be REALLY good and accurate with it...

anyways, it depends on the person...

actually we did talk about the uzi.

he said its a stupid and very dangerous weapon and has no real purpose for any realistic application.

this an ex army commando and current personal security armed guard, he knows he stuff and i take his word for everything

i say "the UK isn't any safer than the US because of gun control"

and then he posts a chart showing that the UK is something like 10% safer than the US, without discussing any of the figures that went into coming up with that number...then he says "see, the UK IS safer than the US "

and then he proceeds to continue insulting people....it's really kinda funny..

"assault weapons" is an idiotic buzz term, born out of so many appeals to emotion...please stop using it, it's bollocks.

there are no "assault weapons", just like there are no "assault hammers", "assault crowbars"(unless you're gordon freeman), or "assault knives"....

secondly, as i pointed out before, and you completely ignored, the second amendment says absolutely NOTHING about hunting, as that's not what it's for...

they really dont according to my pal, he said they are wildly in accurate, and are spent from round in a matter of seconds.

while the UK may be safer than the US (i think it's still debatable), it is NOT a result of the UK's regulation of firearms. this is what i was saying, what i'm still saying, and you are still either completely ignoring, or are simply incapable of comprehending.

now obviously an ar-15 or g36c is another matter completely. but we are talking pistols here

your buddy is wrong...i know this because i know for a FACT that secret service still uses compact SMGs....and i daresay they're a lot better at security, and more knowledgeable on the topic, than this guy you know...
