when MSM leaves, yeah
here we go again

Looks like Ryan Reilly for Huff Po might still be down there:

And Ben Kesling from Wall Street Journal as well.
twitter.com...

Really very interesting and rather entertaining tweets from both. The sarcasm is deep and thick.

Ben Kesling:

Police now wearing black BDUs in #Ferguson. Negative reaction of crowd is case study in crowd policing techniques.

Livestream is showing the cops lined up in several places wearing riot gear. They seem to have remained live once they finally came back up a short while ago.

Jones also just came back up

I guess I wasn't as clear as I should have been? Sit ins are fine & dandy, I'm actually talking about when curfew hits. Both sides kind of need to prove to each other they can be trusted by the other, and if the protesters decide to buck the curfew and it gets out of hand, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about. Not a sit in. The crowd had a heated series of chants going earlier. Channeling anger into something meaningful is one thing, but I really got the impression they were just self-fueling by the time the BP chants started. They've had time to let it simmer in the rain, and that could have either grown or fizzled. Like I said, we'll know in a while.

What happens if someone works the night shift?

Or has to leave by 4 am to get to their job?

Only in Amerika....comrade.

I haven't found any details about the parameters of this curfew but in '68 when martial law was in effect and there was a 6 PM-6 AM curfew, if you were on the street you were stopped and questioned about your reason for being there. If you were on your way to work or school, you were allowed to go. That particular curfew applied to people on the street, not drivers.
At the time I lived near the Vandy hospital and campus where there were a lot of us walking to work or school. If you were stopped and couldn't give the soldier a destination, you would be detained until the cops could come and write you up with a citation for breaking curfew.
However, let me stress that was many years ago and I never saw anything like the people of Ferguson have already seen in the past few days. The National Guard was in charge of martial law in Nashville and I never saw a tank, just jeeps at major intersections and a few guys in fatigues and helmets walking patrols throughout the city. While it was startling to see those guys patrolling with machine guns, we never felt menaced by them.
These days? Who knows?

Ty for posting those!

I still think this situation needs people willing to just sit down and be arrested. Let all the media record that!

Anyone notice the Tshirt on the girl who just walked next to Johnson?

'Amnesty International Observer'.

There are days I really don't feel the pride in things...to say the least. (sigh)

I started screaming at my phone. I'm going to read a book and hope these people remember their history.

One protester stating we still live in the era of Jim Crow laws.

Alex Jones crew afraid to walk back down to the Quiktrip, the would be between the cops and there car. They had to run and jump fences to escape the police the other night.

The same police unit that fired on the crowd is now on duty.

i might be slow to the thought but here is an pondering from EOMS.
the same police from the last incident are out, no militaristic uniforms, weapons or vehicles, only old school riot gear.
what if this is going to be a "police lose" situation so the geared up cavalry has to be called and save the day to promote more militarization.

And speaking of Capt. Johnson, weren't we told that he was brought in and put in charge? But since they released that video without his knowledge and consent just what was he put in charge of? He seems deflated tonight, doesn't he?

Just as a head's up, Ben Kesling, Vet and reporter for Wall Street Journal, tweeted this about an hour ago.

Policeman shows up in #Ferguson carrying an M4 with iron sights. Seems like an unnecessary thing to bring into the situation. Wrong message.

One more reporter on scene. Matt Pearce of LA Times:
