Yeah, I keep looking around for another scanner to make sure that this isn't some super elaborate hoax. I'm skeptical, still as this scanner is advertised as the area police responding to The Purge threats. If I find a different one, I'll give it a listen and see if it's the same dispatcher.

I don't think it can be pinned down on one specific thing only, more of a mix of things. But I do think a large portion of it is because some believe that they aren't responsible for their actions. I think it'll only get worse with generations to come. In fact, I'm willing to bet we'll see a huge rise of this mindset in the future.

The broadcastify links are 100% legit

Click all the others there's 4000 streams on there at any one time, for most states

Using two scanners here, they both read the same amount at about the same times.

Ok that was weird, the audio feed just looped the same exact thing said a couple hours ago.....this is not looking like its real.....

Have to wonder if a lot of his isn't being spread around privately through social media, and more and more bored people (on a Friday night), aren't...."getting in on the action" so to speak.

Like the pizza place calls. Harmless for the most part and most likely won't involve cops, but are giving the people that called a laugh.

Well, my husband just watched news and they are saying that it is not really happening, or is a flop or something there in Louisville...

might be media trying to keep people calm, or maybe some of what we are hearing on the scanner in Louisville is just prank calls... could be either...

Purge people telling someone they are coming to get them

I don't think it was repeated as much as the same type of call.

There has obviously been a lot of hoax calls/lack of follow up of the earlier reports.
