I was just planning on searching for this specific picture. Someone else made a thread about this pic. His alone, and a few others, has me sold that life was around on that planet and probably many others.

That looks like a defined forehead, eye socket, lips, etc..

Then the other pieces of rocks around there also look like they have been carved. Too smooth looking and angular looking around the edges to be just ricks. While one side looks smooth and tailored, the undersides looks rough and grainy, like they were attached to another piece of rock; it looks broken off.

Alas my friend, it is the desire to have fantasy live that drives those to see what is not there. There must be something just beyond our vision, our touch that will bring unimagined wonder to the true banality of our existence. If we can imagine it, well, it must then be real. Our ego driven desires say that those who do not see what we see must be the blind ones as we can see our dreams with the utmost clarity, we just need close our eyes to make it all real...

The problem is with the "need to believe" that really makes things look pretty coo coo. Once one loses objectivity then ... all is lost.

What gets me about the surface of Mars is the massive quantities of sizable rocks lying around. It appears to me like someone has ran around with a gigantic hammer smashing the surface up. I see a peice of rock and assume it is a part of a larger peice of rock such as it may have dropped down a mountain or such. It's like the dropstones we see on earth that have been picked up and moved by glaciars.

Oh wow you're right.

It's G'Kar.

The nature of "winds" on Mars and the size of the particulates it contains affords for unusual sculpting of rocks and meteorites.

On the topic of Meteorites ... Mars's surface has an unusual number of them, often leaving rocks that look out of place amongst their neighbors.

In addition, the human mind is deeply hard wired to spot irregularities in patterns and sets and bias to recognize faces and images that appear to indicate familiar life forms.

This is a rock....and I also "believe" that life once existed on Mars...See I am capable of being both objective in my analysis and open to alternative evidence.

I however respect other opinions.

Sometime I'm wrong about some anomalies that are nothing more than bizarre rocks, but sometime there is really something inexplicable about them: surely something artificial or biological.

But i'm also flattered that other members take a look on Mars and begin to analyze the images of Mars with a different perspective and begin to grasp the anomalies.

Let me be clear once more: some anomalies, that I and other members identify, are just bizarre Rocks with extravagant forms, but others are absolutely inexplicable, despite the heavy work of tampering carried out before the official release from Mike Malin Space Science System and NRO.

Like searching for shapes in the clouds. That does look like a statue head though.

My reasoning is this:

If there was an advanced civilization here in the not too distant past (i.e. not so distant that all the structures have eroded or crumbled, where some structures remain), then there should be more of it. If this alleged statue is made of rock, and still holds its shape, then other stone structures should still remain, and not just a few scattered about, but much more.

Also the alleged statue has too many non-symmetrical features in the vertical plane to qualify as a the head of a statue.

And this is exactly why we need close ups of this stuff and photo's from other angles. Good job.

This doesn't negate the theory that there could have been advanced civilizations on Mars though. It just discounts this one image and find. Keep looking peeps....keep looking.
