What video are you talking about, the one of the robbery? Are you saying it's from a different date than the day he was shot and killed?

I think you are right that the guy in these stills from the robbery video is wearing sandals:

It's hard to tell on the picture in the street. I won't post that one, but people can do a Google image search for his name, city, and 'in street.' I thought at first it was definitely shoes in that one. But blown up it also looks a little like the top left close-up above, so I can't say for sure. Maybe someone else can tell. Domo1 may be right on the shorts in the robbery video being lighter than they look.

Kind of. Here is a link to a post that LibertyGal made in another thread. This is a YouTube vid made by someone who claims to know Mike Brown and what happened that day. Now, this may be a little sketchy at best. However, he does state that Mike Johnson took some boxes of cigars, he also states that Mike then handed some to his friend (assuming that is Johnson) and then walks out of the store. He also states that it was not at the QT, but at another near by store. So there are some things in this video that seem to match the now 'official story'. Here is the Link to LibertyGal's Post. Be aware that there is 'language' in this video that may not be suitable for kids and that you may have to listen to it a couple times because the young man is talking a mile a minute.....

It's all shady and doesn't make sense.

How can that be? The Police claim it was made the same day he was shot. Within minutes of him robbing the store he was killed. He was killed last weekend.

Are you saying this video was made months before he was shot? How could that be? He's wearing the same cloths in the vid as when he was shot.

How did you come to that conclusion. IF it were true what you said...that would be a big conspiracy by the police.

He is going off the date code in the upper left hand of the video pics. Unfortunately the pic he is looking at is very grainy. It does APPEAR to say 06-09. I looked at other versions of the same pics on the net and found a slightly clearer once that is clearly 08 for the month, but still looks like 09 for the day.

Michael Brown was gunned down shortly before 12:05pm local time, since the first Twitter post with a photo is at that point. This is the conversation including the person who posted that photo, immediately afterwards:

Rather corroborates the witness story. Michael Brown was shot in the back while running away, then shot multiple times again after he turned around. Still doesn't say as to what happened AT the vehicle, but it ain't looking good for the cops being that they have now said the officer didn't know about him being a suspect anyway.

Regardless of what may have occurred prior to the encounter with the officer. The officer had no, nor could have had any idea that Mr. Brown was a suspect in a previous robbery.

No matter what, lethal force was not justified.

Sad to say that a box of cheap cigars would be worth a man's life. That should never be the case. Somebody or bodies screwed up big time with this thing...

Wonder why we have not heard zippo from the cops partner? It is my understanding there was a 2nd cop there, is that correct? Seems the lid is being kept on that. Wonder if the shooter just lost it and the reason there is no info or very little from that side is to try and keep the rioting down. IF it came out the partner backed up witness reports then things could get nastier.

There was literally minutes between the robbery and the shooting.

We have video of the body on the road dead. So where are the cigars?

There's a pretty clear picture of Brown dead on the ground out there that I came across. Brown was wearing sandals. Furthermore, according to Dorian Johnson, it was them as reported by KSDK news. Whether or not it's Brown in the footage is irrelevant now that Johnson has confirmed it via his attorney.

Honestly, if they were on the run from a crime scene, they could've stashed both the Swisher Sweets and the Cardinal hat which was a distinguishing feature in the footage.

Might be on to something here bbracken.
But should it not be on the partner, if there was one, to do his duty and speak about how the events took place?
I mean that is what most peoples problems are with the PD's nowadays. That the good cops don't speak out against the bad ones. I get there is many reasons to stay quite, job security being a top one, but if you take that oath and want the title hero then sacrifices need to happen. Again all this assuming there was a partner.
Cause to me it does sound like the shooter just lost his head and took the life of mike brown.

As to where the cigars are in the video you reference: a) have not seen the video b) perhaps picked up by officers for evidence? c) other than a guess at b I have no idea.

I remember a few nights back. DJ was interviewed by Nancy Grace on HLN. He said at one point, that during the confrontation with the cop, Brown handed his package to him to talk to the cop. He then said IIRC, once he heard the first shot coming from inside the car, he ran and hid behind a nearby car. Perhaps the cigars made it out of any pics we've seen.

He was seen on the video being handed a box of cigars, which he promptly returns to the counters. Seems that he did not want to be a part of the theft. Michael was the one walking out of the store with the cigars, not DJ.
