Just a note but the #NMOS14 (National Moment of Silence) on Twitter is for vigils around multiple cities in the US for Michael Brown and Ferguson.

Keep in mind he wasn't in a car, he was in an SUV. So its definitely possible, just highly unlikely given the circumstances.

They're not immune to ball bearings(old IRA trick)and the secret to breaking the phalanx is attack the gaps/folds luckily for these cops the protesters aren't experienced

Nope... that was the official story from the police department... that the cop attempted to get out of the vehicle and the kid pushed him back in and then lunged for his weapon....

it says weapon, but it says specifically "officers weapon" that usually means gun... they also added that one shot was fired inside the car during the struggle over the officers weapon...

that is why I had gun in my head... and everyone else. But your right, the department never said "gun" they said "officers weapon" and then shot fired inside the car during the struggle for said weapon.

Is the coroners report out to see what drugs the kid was on?

How would that be any way relevant? Is there a law that says cops are allowed to shoot and kill people who are high?

Interesting, it could have been a "tazer gun" that went off given that wording. That is if the cops can afford those there, they couldn't afford video cameras for the cruizers so I am not so sure about that. Then again, I have yet so see the police vehicle with a bullet hole in it, or see any pictures of a bullethole anywhere in the neighborhood to account for a gun going off.

Yeah, thats what I posted back on page 57. Actually, according to their facebook page it's for all victims of police brutality. I'm glad it's happening... I hope it continues and gains momentum.

So what do these "protesters" actually want....? Do they have a political agenda they are trying to push forth etc, or are they just protesting for the simple reason they are unhappy about the police shooting incident?

I am curious how many of these people in this "protest" actually care, rather than using as an excuse to cause trouble.

Running around looting stores isn't the best way to prove you are a group of people who should be heard...

For that matter, could the cops hands not be considered a weapon? I mean, we all use our hands as weapons when in a struggle, right?

The cop and this kid get into a hand struggle...therefore, the kid touched the cop's weapon. I know it's symantics, but that is the way cops operate.

It started as a protest against out of control police murdering people in the street.

After the riot squad started indiscriminately shooting rubber bullets, wooden pellets, and tear gas it became a protest against human and constitutional rights.

They should rename it to "Democracy Yesterday" seeing as how they are posting news from yesterday. Haven't these "journalists" ever heard of Reddit, Twitter...or the internet? Where people report news in actual real time? I would laugh if it wasn't so sad...or if they actually did it on purpose.

So burning cars and looting stores is the way to protest
Constitutional rights...

Frankly, if you act like a bunch on hooligan thugs, your going to get treated like it.

I'm not saying I am on the polices side in this matter....although most will say I am. Just stating that the way they are going about this is just making them look like thugs.

Yeah good point, I forgot about that, I was picturing a crown vic. I just tried it, sitting in my suburban, with my pops standing by the window near my door. I was able to do it, but not while sitting, I had to be up off my seat a bit, and also lean quite a bit out the window as well. Possible, but not easy. Grabbing for where a gun would be holstered however? Impossible without being inside the window almost to my hip. Unless the cop has his seat back all the way so he can really turn his hips in the seat....... I am gonna call BS on the kid grabbing a holstered weapon.

You're under the impression that the majority of the people who participated in the protests also did this. That's not true.

Right, but then again you've admitted in this very thread that you're racist against black people (Are Asians and Jews okay, or is this a neo-nazi white power sort of thing?), so I think it's safe to say that your opinion is going to be very biased and morally compromised.

If you're white and don't think the majority of poor black people in this country would jump at the chance to string you up from a tree, then I challenge you to put on a hardhat and safety vest and take a stroll through the hood one day.

Make sure you're on your best behavior and wearing your biggest smile for maximum effect.

Well, my husband and I are white anyway.... and we lived in the "hood"... the very worst part of Kansas City... No problems to be had from the natives - that weren't had by black people too.

Was fine there... white skin and all. You should have seen my husbands face the first time some black guy called him a 'n-word'... hahahahaha

It's really not the problem most white people think it would be. Seriously.

Oh I apologize if me speaking the truth disturbs you.

No actually not at all, but it's not a surprise to have someone on the internet assume that they know me. That is just it though isn't it, it's not about me, it's about the subject of this thread right? Do you have an opinion on it, or does my possible mood interest you that much?

However, you forgot to mention that Kelly fellow in Orange County, Ca that got killed by the cops...he was white too.

I didn't forget anything, but why would I bother with listing every white person that has been killed by cops, I would be here all day. Now your turn. Does carrying the name ThePublicEnemyNu1 suggest that you support these idiotic fools who are stealing and vandalizing peoples property?

No assumptions here, none at all my friend, just wondering? ~$heopleNation

They could have handled the people who were responsible for the looting and violence without turning their weapons on the peaceful majority.

The actions of the violent does not remove the rights of the peaceful.

Agreed. I understand oh to well that protests unfortunately does attract people who simply want to use it as their platform to be violent etc etc
