These are the same people that burn books, don't let women and girls attend schools, and blow up priceless ancient religious sites and destroy historical artifacts in the name of their god. Good luck convincing them to de-radicalize with information. The only information some of these people understand is the language of violence. If their own muslim scholars who are more moderate can't convince them to turn to education, peace, and prosperity instead of war and oppression, what makes anyone think we can do it?

How much brainwashing can a human brain endure before it goes completely psychotic?

There is a loss of touch with reality. They're there. Anybody who thinks it okay to bury men, women, and children alive have completely divorced themselves from reality, and live in hell on earth.

This is not "religious fervor". This is mental illness. Very dangerous.

True. Honestly, I wish we could figure out a way to fill their water source with anti-psychotic medications.
A false god, a false prophet. They are lost.

LOL

I get a real kick out of you people saying "we shouldn't fight" "bombs won't work" "we caused this"

lol what's the difference

LOOK AT THE VIDEO

Your not going to be given a choice on if you should fight back or not... this is religion gone mad, it started before we did anything about it in the first place.

We expect what to happen from here if we don't fight? They will "get over it" "calm down" go from beheading children to taking 9-5 jobs over the next few years?

Oh, we'll be fighting... it's just a matter of where and when and what line is crossed before we do.

We should be carpet bombing already

The videos are sickening aren't they? The things people say on the ground horrifying, because then I know its not just some movie - and that is more horrifying than some scarey movie, because its real people, real children.

To attack an enemy and win you must eradicate your enemy... in order to do that you must know who your enemy really is.. to date, this HAS been the problem, not really knowing / recognizing who your enemy is. And who but God can see into the hearts of men?

Sometimes allowing your enemy to stand up and declare himself as such is what is needed - sometimes, it is with tears that you stay still, and a sickness in the pit of your stomach, but you must allow them to stand apart from the rest and announce exactly who they are.

There will be casualties no matter, but wouldn't it be best if those innocent casualties were not by your own hand and out of your own ignorance? Let them separate out from among us... and declare their allegiances. Then we can shoot with a clear shot.

The whole thing has the look and feel of a B-movie.

I mean... swashbuckling Sunni buccaneers? Hairy guys in caves wasn't scaring us enough anymore so they busted out with the pirate costumes.

Arrr.

lol! finally something in this allah-awful mess to laugh about. I agree. The one with the sword needs a parrot on his shoulder, and a patch on his eye!

This is correct and the way it always will be...

The lead up to this is very similar to fighting the Germans in WW2...

You know, it is what it is, personally I hate it but i'd be a liar if I said in real life I didn't wait for the other guy to truly throw the first punch before I unloaded.

Now this may sound odd, because I support those in Gaza, and i'm sure the Israel crowd will pull up this post the next time I bash israel for their campaign.

How ever, bomb these mother#ing, disgusting sad sacks for human beings into the ground. Annihilate them all, slaughter innocents and call out the west. #ing napalm them in their sleep, and we will see who is humiliated hugging their bearded brothers trying to claw the flaming death from their skin.

These people rile up an immediate response of hate from deep with in me, and that is what terrifies me about them. Not that they threaten their people, my people, and the rest of the world but that they can drive me to feel such hate and rage towards them.

I would like to fight them, I would like to join my brothers from the west and cut their heads off and display them on our fighting vehicles like trophies.

Obama's hardly got the stomach for another fight in Iraq. Getting our troops out of that hellhole was about the only campaign promise he kept. Now he finds himself sending troops back, calling in airstrikes. He should have left Syria alone in the first place. Libya too. I wonder what happened to all of Gaddafi's gold?

DId some digging, the reporter is not a member of ISIS. His name is Medyan Dairieh. He spent ten days in Syria. Like I said before, balls of steel.

How Vice News Got Unprecedented Access to the Islamic State

An interesting excerpt from the article is a quote from another reporter about trying to cover ISIS.

“At the end of the day, I have one question I must be able to answer before I set out: If I get into trouble, who can get me out?” Abouzeid said. “With the Islamic State, the question is almost nobody, not even my Al-Qaeda sources should they even wish to intercede on my behalf.”

Airstrikes at this time, and I'm pretty happy about it. Bomb those little buggers. They need a wake up call, JDAM's sure make a mess of those archaic armoured vehicles and artillery pieces. Hell, I hope they strafe those SSBM's they have there. That way they can have a giant useless reminder god doesn't protect them from the bullets they are literally asking to be shot at them.

I think some cruise missiles would be a good idea too. So they literally don't see it coming, or have anything or one to shoot back at.

Drones are good, but they know they are there before hand.

I'm sure it'll happen sooner than later.

WASHINGTON — President Obama sought to prepare Americans for an extended presence in the skies over Iraq, telling reporters on Saturday that the airstrikes he ordered this week could go on for months as Iraqis try to build a new government.

“I don’t think we’re going to solve this problem in weeks,” Mr. Obama said before leaving for a two-week vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. “This is going to be a long-term project.”

Obama Says Iraq Airstrike Effort Could Be Long-Term

Glad the President could take time out of his busy vacation. I'm sure this will be used as a pretext to extend airstrikes into Syria. But then if we start bombing Syria, who will we be bombing, ISIS or Assad? Maybe both. Maybe ISIS is counting on this, drawing our fire into that theater of war to help them out Assad.

So we shouldn’t have fought against the Nazis?

Where did I ever say that?

Nowhere did I even say we shouldn't be fighting these people, just that bombing them won't work. It hasn't worked in Libya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, or any other place we've had the notion to eradicate terrorists. In fact, it's had the opposite effect of creating more jihadis.

Again, I don't know what the solution is, and I'm not here to present one, that's way above my pay grade.

It could have worked if instead of bombing civilians "We" actually started bombing extremists and well armed thugs and warlords but I guess that would conflict with "Our" support and training for those armed thugs and warlords.

I am surprised how some people so naively believe that "We" don't know what "We" are doing "There" and how somehow what "We" are doing "There" is "just not working".

the truth of the matter is (sadly) that those terrorists are very much needed and useful for "Us".

take it from any angle you wish - the truth is out there for World to see.

I am afraid Obama has to be very careful not to bomb them too much as he might damage or even destroy some nice military/logistic equipment they have thus reducing the power of the latest US Cuckoo Bird in the Middle East.

and I hope I am completely wrong and this group gets completely annihilated by US or whoever, however I am afraid that is not going to happen.

I hope

There's no way to "liberate" a city overrun with jihadis from the air unless you wipe the place off the map, but then you're not liberating anything. Yes, we have a long history of paying off warlords, thugs, and extremists. No one denies this. But just because we bought them, doesn't mean they stay bought.

I am surprised how some people so naively believe that "We" don't know what "We" are doing "There" and how somehow what "We" are doing "There" is "just not working".

If everything worked out just the way we wanted it to there would be a big shining pipeline pumping natural gas from Turkmenistan, into Afghanistan, Pakistan, and finally India, making billions. But the pesky Taliban still stand in the way, no matter how much we bomb them. 20 years of bloody work, and still no TAPI.

the truth of the matter is (sadly) that those terrorists are very much needed and useful for "Us".

They're useful when they're working for our global business interests, but then they can also be a thorn in the side. No matter how powerful you believe Western intelligence to be, we do not hold the world under our thumb.
