Paid trolls are also not constructive to fair
debate!

Then why are there so many American shills being allowed to operate here!

IDK.. never really spotted an American infestation on here!
The same thing can't be said about Russian trolls though ..can it?

They come on to threads like locusts and stifle it. they use very good constructive language that Google
bots can follow easily.
So if you're searching on line for news story's .. their revealing sentences are sure to show up. (Very Clever)

Do you think your average poster does this or even cares? NO !

The Russian trolls are here and in great numbers.. I know it :

This is important, and precisely the issue (in my opinion). The issue is not Why is ATS harshing RT's gig? The issue is, What does the propaganda hope to accomplish?

One theory: It is a destabilization tactic. Possibly, the Russian government cares less about how Americans view Russia; possibly, their efforts in propaganda are to marginalize and discredit the American government (in the eyes of Americans).

In that regard, their propaganda has not been relegated to RT. Those involved in that scheme (for decades, mind you) have infiltrated media, news agencies, entertainment industry, academia, government agencies... it is an ongoing thing. If you can make your opponent hate themselves, and foster internal division, distraction, distrust, and chaos, you have a much better chance of defeating them when it comes down to war.

That is, if you believe the likes of this guy (Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov, interviewed below).

Really?

Russian mainstream media shamelessly claimed that Ukrainian military “harvests organs” from living people, that Ukrainian government is building “concentration camps” and imprisoning all healthy males on the territories that have been recently freed from Russia-sponsored terrorist/separatist forces.

I have yet to read that at RT.com care to link the story?

only story i read about organ harvesting on RT is this one
rt.com...

Here's another Russia Today lie!

www.examiner.com...

On July 7, 2014, Russian mainstream media exploded with a stream of articles about Alexander Skryabin, an alleged “hero of Novorussia,” who reportedly threw himself under a Ukrainian tank, armed with a “bundle of grenades.” No one seemed to be perturbed by the fact that Alexander Skryabin died of lung cancer on September 27, 2011.

What you should do is call it as it really is.
ALL Mainstream Media is propaganda...this includes ats, rense, infowars, adfinitum and last but not least the neat cable, internet, satellite channels and those smart phones we just cant seem to quit fiddling with for any length of time.
Be surprised what people will do for $nake Paper.

You aren't really and truly an Overlord until you make those in power put the spooky stalkers on and around ya...For example- the unmarked suvs with no logos that sometimes want you to see them to sometimes being so naive that they think they aren't or cannot be detected.,,,I love the brand new Ford Escapes and Explorers as well. Then there is the person you have seen in many areas of town you happen to be in at least 3 times in a day on a regular basis. Street theater- Public theater...Fun stuff. Then there is the Pi that thinks they are not noticed.

You to can have all this and much much more including electronic antics by simply telling the truth. Its a real sweet spot.

I'm pretty sure they still SWAT on Shabbat Fridays due to the Mandatory 3 day incarceration before you go before the high priest of the holy roman empire which equates to more $nake Paper for everyone in the Just Us Club.

Do try to be a good sport and don't delete the post.

How many reporters who buck the line keep their jobs.

Then explain FoxNews, which is over-the-top anti-administration. If "the government" controls the news, why was FoxNews allowed to run rampant with the Benghazi story, which turned out to be way to much ado about nothing?

The whole two sides versus each other is part of the game. Make people believe there is a real choice with unimportant but very high feeling questions that the citizens can feel a lot about and argue about forever while the real important stuff get pushed thru as something that both the two parties agree on.

The important thing is to control the important questions and not allow that exposure. With criticism of yourself/your team you can also manipulate others to think you are self critic when in reality you are manipulating others to give you more power.

Come on SkepticOverlord. We both know how the game is played where you make it seem it is a versus situation but in reality it is a big mind warp on the ones being manipulated and cannot see the strings in the background being pulled.

Big deal about RT being state sponsored.
Anyone who thinks the corporations do not own the US is a bit slow.
The corporations own the media in the west.
Therefore the media in the west is also in fact state sponsored.
Both give a little truth and a lot of lies.
Just why was this topic posted anyway??

what's so special about ATS (a conspiracy site ) that the Russian government would need to send shills ?
what influence could Russia inflict on the people of ATS ?

i mean ATS is no play ground any given topic that is posted is looked over , broken down, scrutinized , put under the knife if you will..

it's a place where propaganda WILL be exposed .. i just don't see the logic in sending someone into the "lions den " here at ATS ..

please by all means cure my doubt about this ..

And yet even with this being the case (and everyone already knows they are state media), it STILL has more truth and actual news stories on it than the American media.
Crazy huh.

Let's see how far we can push this I hate Russia thing. Put those patriotic blinders on and start WWIII because that will be awesome.

That said, I usually look to ATS as a news feed, not state media (American and Chinese being the worst of state medias imo). There's enough data from multiple viewpoints here that one can usually filter out the bs rather quickly.

they are the exact counterpart of the USA 'CPI' figures.... the 'economy & job creation figures'...

IOW RT is the mirror image of the Obama Media crud and he has only the capacity of a neighborhood thug---
but with the command of a world stage

A Sad situation---> with a race bater in charge of the narrative

I am dismayed at the level of taking sides here

My point is the people they're supposedly broadcasting to are open - minded westerners. An audience theyre supposedly confident enough to presume have already enough skepticism about the western media to accept their (russian) media.

I dont actually agree with this, im just exposing the flaw in the argument....
Whats more likely happening is that those that are simply fed up being fed one perspective all the time are now getting another ... but unfortunately unless they evolve to realize the internet is a much better place for news than news print or television they will be stuck with those "daily lies" ... Ultimately it doesn't matter what RT says, what BBC says, what CNN, ABC, etc when the people know & are willing to find the truth for themselves, which is happening now more than ever. As a previous commenter says, Twitter and facebook etc are the best sources for news and people are already well aware of that in todays world... RT, BBC, Al Jazeera etc mean a lot less than they used to.. But, im sure others will disagree with me on that.
