And this is why the Palestinians AND the Israelis need to be disarmed. We have a little bunch of Nazi's rising out of the sand.

A little Narrative here on Israel's actions - Link. I thought the article was compelling and rational.

Cheers - Dave

Excellent post and link. A lot is explained and made clear. Thanks!

Also explains the difference between the West Bank and Gaza... Hamas.

First...I am not a supporter of Israel in this particular conflict.

Second...The Daily Mail?

Third...Unless this Israeli politician suggested prison camps? Slave Labor? the Organized execution en masse of all men, women and children via gas chambers etc. ..If that is not what he suggested then the Daily Mail needs to STFU with that Nazi Concentration Camps BS.

Not saying Israel is in the right in this conflict and not saying that this Israeli Politician isn't an idiot...I am saying that likening his plan to Nazi Concentration camps belittles what the Nazi's did and the reality of what concentration camps were....And does so for the sake of sensationalist headlines.

BS...

I wonder if any of the people posting here had really read that letter. By the way many of them reacted, I imagine not. So here it is; maybe you read it first then consider judging.

To Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, I have just heard that Hamas has taken advantage of the ceasefire to abduct an officer. It looks like this operation is not about to be over any too soon. The failures of this operation were inherent from the outset, because: It has no proper and clear goal B. There is no appropriate moral framework to support our soldiers What is required now is for Israel to internalize the fact that Oslo is finished: That this is our country – our country exclusively, including Gaza. There are no two states, and there are no two peoples. There is only one state for one people. After internalizing this, we need a deep and thorough strategic review: Definition of the enemy, definition of the operational tasks, definition of the strategic goals, and of course, of appropriate necessary war ethics. 1. Definition of the enemy: The strategic enemy is extremist Arab Islam in all its metastases – from Iran to Gaza – which seeks to annihilate Israel in its entirety. The immediate enemy is Hamas. (Not the tunnels and not the rockets – Hamas.) 2. Definition of the tasks: Conquest of the entire Gaza Strip and elimination of all fighting forces and their supporters. 3. Definition of the strategic goal: To turn Gaza into Jaffa, a flourishing Israeli city with a minimum number of hostile civilians. 4. Definition of war ethics: “Woe to the evildoer, and woe to his neighbor” In light of these four points, Israel must take the following action: A. The IDF will designate certain open areas on the Sinai border, adjacent to the sea, in which the civilian population will be gathered, far from the built-up areas that are used for rocket launches and tunneling. In these areas, tent encampments will be established, until relevant emigration destinations are determined. Electricity and water supply to the formerly populated areas will be disconnected. B. The formerly populated areas will be shelled with maximum fire power. The entire civilian and military infrastructure of Hamas, its means of communication and of logistics, will be destroyed entirely – down to their foundations. C. The IDF will divide the Gaza Strip laterally and crosswise, significantly widen the roads, take control of commanding positions, and destroy nests of resistance – if any remain. D. Israel will start to locate destination countries and immigration quotas for the refugees from Gaza. Those who wish to emigrate will be given a generous economic support package and will arrive at the receiving countries with significant economic capabilities. E. Those who insist on staying, contingent on proof that they have no affiliation with Hamas, will be required to publicly sign a declaration of loyalty to Israel. They will then receive a blue ID card similar to that of the Arabs of East Jerusalem. F. When the fighting will end, Israeli law will be extended to cover the entire Gaza Strip. The people expelled from Gush Katif will be invited to return to their towns and villages and the city of Gaza and its suburbs will be rebuilt as Israeli tourist and commercial cities. Mr. Prime Minister, This is a fateful hour of decision in the history of the State of Israel. All metastases of our enemy, from Iran and Hizballah through ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, are gleefully rubbing their hands and preparing themselves for the next round. I warn that any outcome that is less than what was defined here means encouraging the continued offensive against Israel. Only if Hezbollah will understand how we have dealt with Hamas in the south, will it refrain from launching its 100,000 missiles from the north. I call on you to adopt the strategy proposed here. I have no doubt that, like me, the entire Nation of Israel will overwhelmingly stand by you – if only you will adopt it. With Respect and Appreciation, Moshe Feiglin

Nobody is justifying anything. Perhaps some people feel that even though they do not support the war, it is not a "war crime." And perhaps they do not feel that one side are completely the victims and the other completely abhorrent less than humans. And perhaps they do not feel like Jews drink the blood of other people, or that nothing good has ever come out of Israel, or that every Jew is a pig... You get the idea but I can give you so many more quotes from this thread and so many other threads. You think this war started this week? en.wikipedia.org...

Of course they did not read the letter - especially in its original Hebrew. This is a detestable man who, although having a seemingly powerful position, is much much less powerful than Mashal who throws around blood libels and millennia old smears against Jews. But none of that matters. Not a single bit of it. War is wrong no matter who wages. But most of these people aren't here posting because they feel all war is wrong. If that were the case, they would not have so much time to post here because they would be actually out there somewhere doing something about it.

Until it's said by the leader himself, it's just a letter from a crazy man. As soon as it's official, the whole world should invade and turn 'israel' into dust.

The Gaza area HAS been an open air prison, (concentration camp) for many moons now. They have been deprived of basic needs like water, sewage, electricity, medical supplies, food and so many other basic needs that we here take for granted. It amazes me that these people even have the occasional strength to fire those rusty ole rockets and guns and that the kids can still throw rocks. We here in the USA get all bent outta shape and nutso when we even have a short power blackout from storms or some such...can you imagine what it must be like to be without all the basics for a very long time....the bad moods and anger and rage and helplessness we would feel.

Folks say the Muslims have horrible things to say relevant to the rest of the world, yet when someone like Nutandyahoo spouts drivel or one of their writings like the Talmud (sp) or one of their other big shouts spouts hate, that is somehow tolerated and over looked. The Israeli folks say they experienced concentration camps and yet they have subjected the Gaza folks to just that for ages and now want new and improved versions I guess...when is enough, enough already? Learn from mistakes?

I hate being without electric for an hour even...imagine months and months of that. Basic hygiene impossible under those conditions...chances for disease go way up under those conditions...Gaza already knows and has experienced some of what the Israelis want for them. It never ends and just gets worse.

a reply to: shrevegal Also, some Israelis want the folks of Gaza removed from the area...where would they like to send them...to The areas in Africa where the Ebola problem is manifesting? To the USA? We have politicians with dual Israeli/USA citizenship so I guess they wouldn't think that was too kosher of an idea...pun intended.

Excellent post and link. A lot is explained and made clear. Thanks!

Also explains the difference between the West Bank and Gaza... Hamas.

Another difference between West Bank and Gaza is that West Bank is not actually a solid territory in the hands of Palestinians, but rather a few Palestinian neighbourhoods and communities divided from each other by Israeli-only roads and checkpoints that include chain link fences, razor wire, and a killing zone that changes in distance depending on how far the IDF decides to shoot Palestinians on certain days.

Palestinians are much more docile in the West Bank because their leaders in Fatah have submitted to Israeli policies of liebensraum, and sit back and watch as the IDF demolishes entire communities to build Jew-only compounds loaded with extremist Zionist settlers from around the world.

Palestinians in the West Bank only dare to throw rocks at the IDF, so the IDF only typically decides to kidnap them instead of bombing them on a regular basis. Ultimately, the Israeli government carries out ethnic cleansing in West Bank much more effectively because the Palestinians there are much too divided by IDF checkpoints and weak leadership to do anything.

Funny how Israel isn't building massive Jew-only settlements and dividing up Gaza with Jew-only roads. Almost seems like an organized and armed resistance in Gaza against Israeli ethnic cleansing is more affective than in the West Bank, where all appears peaceful because Israel is in full control.

They've started the genocide already. At least the US and the UN have condemned Israel's action.

The US has been funding Israels war machine for decades now. The condemn nothing of the sort.

Did the Israeli member of the governing Likud party just compared Palestinians to Germany and Japanese in the WWII?
At 07:30 mark e reply's the following:

"The Germans in Dresden and the "Chinese?!" in Nagasaki would love to get such an offer - to leave there homeland or to be kept in concentration camps - before they were bombed by the British and the Americans."

Are you Serious !?! Can't anyone (israeli supporters) see how brutal this regime is? Isn't this totally and openly condemned by International law?

I can't understand how people just don't see whats happening in front of there eyes. And how serious it's the Media Blackout against Palestine.

Did anyone notice the opportunities that here given to the israeli to clearly answer to a simple question? Three to four.
What about the Palestinian guy? He only had one chance to reply and when we was about to explain Palestinian point view, he was cut off! WHY??
- MEDIA BLACKOUT

^This Israeli Government member says more:
" I'm talking again of the must human away of winning a war"

A WAR??? This is Genocide of Palestinians. I don't see two army's fighting.
I only see resistance to Israeli military strikes and aggression, resistance to occupation, resistance to physical, medical, economic and food enclosure .. so no war here, only cowards trying to suffocate a ethnic group.

And here is another lie completely reversed, he says:

"When you give these people money, billions and billions of dollars; they don't build homes, kindergartens, they don't build any kind of economy, all they do is to bring bloodshed into the region."

This totally is the opposite the ones who are bring bloodshed by factor 1:1000 is the Israeli and more, the ones who are receiving 3 billions of dollar's a year by the US - not mention heavy military equipment and extra funding support - are the Israelis.

This Israeli Government member goes on further:
"There will be only Peace in the region under full sovereignty of Israel."
How can anyone (a people or nation) can engage in peace talks with another nation? Let's be serious here!! Are we talking about slaves?? No it's worst is genocide, nothing more.

And plan it's set to go, like he said:
" IIt's the must Human away and the only Plan that will bring Peace"

Is talking about His plan, the one published on Facebook. Are You serious, Genocide is the must Human away??

Come on!!!!

This is Genocide of Palestinians.

Well then... I guess Israel is full of bunglers. They obviously do not know how to conduct genocide, only killing a couple thousand in, how many weeks?

Not only that but the Palestinian population growth rate is... rather high:

Census: 30% rise in Palestinian population over last decade
Palestinian population in West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem reaches 3.76 million, up from 2.89 million a decade ago. Unexpectedly low figure for east Jerusalem - 208,000 - immediately challenged by Palestinian politicians.

So... the numbers say that Israel fails at genocide. But practice makes perfect, right?

lol okie dokie. You do know what genocide is, right?

Granted, I was a bit cynical, but I find the use of the term to be exaggerated and incorrect. Deny ignorance, or embrace it...whatever you like. The fact is that if genocide is being waged, it is rather unsuccessful.

I do not support Israel's theft of palestinian lands nor do I support their out of balance war. On the other hand, since I have no dog in the race, I would say that the objective of war is to win, not play a balanced game where the result is expected to be a draw. That is disingenuous at the least. The fact is, history is written by the winners. Does France have a right to exist as a nation? What about the US? Russia? Great Britain? Norway? The Netherlands?

I may be callous, but I am honest in my appraisal. Call it a social version of evolution. Survival of the fittest. The fact that Hamas would not agree to a cease fire until a couple thousand deaths were reached tells me they are not particularly caring with regards to the death of palestinians. Is that cold? Yep. Is that honest? Yep.
