Someday our cities will burn because we didn’t protect our borders

Did you know that the number of illegal immigrants that enter Texas each week is greater than the number of babies being born to citizens of that state? The mainstream media is shining the spotlight very brightly on all of the children that are coming over, and there is a reason for that. They are trying to tug on our heartstrings. But there is another part of the story that you aren’t hearing much about. By refusing to protect our borders, Barack Obama has allowed hundreds of thousands of gang members to illegally enter the United States and settle in our major cities. In many communities, gang activity is already wildly out of control, and someday our cities will burn because of the foolishness of the federal government.

According to Texas state Senator Dan Patrick, illegal immigrants have been formally charged with nearly half a million crimes in his state over the past four years alone. And he also says that there are “at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members” living in his state right now…

Is this just more 'fuel for the fire' kind of article or is what the article is saying an actual future for a city near you ?

It is truly unbelievable IMO this whole mess has progressed as far as it has with no end in sight. Again in my opinion there is more to this than what we are being fed...

I honestly feel as though there is a progressive movement to create unrest.

The racial element failed.
The income inequality failed.

So now they are using a "class" element. Illegal vs legal citizens to create an environment where they can step in and suspend freedoms and initiate their police-state.

Many even on ATS have espoused an America with no borders. Basically dissolving this country and making it an open park to anyone.

A country is defined by it's laws and it's borders. When neither is being acknowledged then you no longer have a country.

We no longer have a southern border. It's obvious that 'someone' wanted it this way. Obama is just fine with it. He either wants America to fail or he wants America flooded with hispanics. This is a crisis that doesn't need to be happening. Obama will call in the U.N. and they'll have a foothold in our country .. in TEXAS. And considering how Texans in general feel about the UN, that won't go over very well.

It all comes back to the war on drugs. It ALWAYS comes back to that. I keep saying it, but no one wants to hear it. End the war on drugs and you cripple the cartels' income support. This will loosen their corrupt fingers from around the throats of politicians in Mexico and in the United States. It will also slow down them catapulting illegals over the border. Not to mention it will destroy many reasons to go into a life of crime in the US. But no, let's talk about this illegal immigrant issue (what happened to illegal aliens btw?) like it is a separate issue *rolls eyes*. That's why nothing is ever fixed in this country, people never want to dig too deep or upset the status quo.

Yep, you are right. The war on drugs is a failure. And part of the disease.

End the war on drugs, stop buying products or services from companies that employ illegals, fine those companies out of business, arrest the owners of those companies and throw them into federal prison for ten years per illegal they employ. Fine jail and confiscate the land of landowners that rent to illegal immigrants.

Fix the problem. Don't treat the symptoms.

The people coming to America could fight against the crime and corrupt governments of there home countries but they choose to run, so you think they will run here and do what they refused to do in there own country?

Government crack downs against the people will ignite a spark and then things will get ugly real fast. Unless of course North Korea is the model for the rest of the world, has to be some reason for them to be allowed to exist...

Our borders have been almost completely open for most of out history. It was not until the end of the 1980s when it became a political tool to blame illegals for the decline in the economy because they were taking jobs. Even then through the 1990s having 3000 border agents was considered to be a huge expantion. Now we have 28000 and by far the most secure southern border in our history coupled with some of the lowest numbers of illegals trying enter. And yet everybody runs around like a bunch of idiots screaming about the border. Why? It is a political tool. Complain about the border and claim nobody is doing anything about it, send down the National Guard in what is a purely symbolic action that does nothing, last a short time and declare victory. Bush Jr, Obama and now Perry have all used this tactic. Securing the border is simply not possible. No border in the world is secure.

What's also strange to me is many of the people who support Russia and what's going on w them. AND Palestine. Are against the situation here in the US and us maintaining strict guidelines w our borders.

How can they not see the hypocrisy there?

Don't they know the issues w the peoples in both those places are about them maintaining land they claim is theirs? Maintaining their borders? To the point of violence?

Yet we are monsters for wanting to keep ours in tact

There have never been more Border Patrol agents than there are now. Obama has repatriated more illegals than any recent president including George W. Bush.

I think that some of us are hyperventilating.

The progressive movement wants to kill the middle class by suppressing wages by allowing illegal aliens to reside here and work for substandard wages. The middle class is the glue that holds this country together. This will be accomplished by overwhelming the welfare state and raising taxes on the middle class to support illegals. They will institute mandatory healthcare where the government can extort large premiums to the point of breaking the middle class just subsidize the poor. This will make two classes, the poor and the ruling elite (government).

This is not the country that it once was! What was right and correct is wrong. What is good for us all is now racist or worse. We are so separated in all we do. The president is golfing while the world is in turmoil and his minions are hiding for their misdeeds. The southern boarders needs federal government attention and he's playing pool.

All of the government's behavior is straight out of Saul Alenski's book. I guess that it will only time until we'll be calling each other comrade and debate here will be monitored for political correctness.

I for one don't have my ears closed.

The war on drugs has in turn given Mexico a drug war.

Last year Juarez was considered to be the most dangerous city in the world. Think about that for a minute, in the entire damn world. The reason, of course, is cartel violence. The cartels exist to sell drugs to Americans in American cities, a good portion of which is marijuana. Legalizing the growth, sale, and manufacturing of cannabis products would immediately impact the cartels' power, money, and influence. Things wouldn't get better overnight but would improve with time.

Sure it can be argued that cartel employees are violent criminals that will simply find some other type of crime to sustain their lifestyles and/or need for violence. This is probably true, but fracturing and breaking down the cartels makes all of these criminal easier to maintain, capture & prosecute.

There is still plenty of work for immigrants for the type of jobs they seek. America is being destroyed from the inside. Which means people like you are against hard working citizens like me. You all encourage hate and homelessness. Pitiful nightmare of a world this is.

Write the author of the article and spew you hate or do a little research into the crimes committed by your hard working illegals who have no visible means of support.. Look at some of the ties to MS-13 or the Cartels and look at what they seem to be up to. But I doubt you will do either for your mind is already made up.. That is what used to be great about America.. People of different opinions were still able to voice those opinions without being shot or labeled some derogatory name like "racist"..

This will all be evident at some future date; maybe nothing of the sort the article says or maybe their crystal ball is correct... Time will tell.. As some have posted many of our cities are burning already... Drug wars/cartel/gang wars make some local news almost every day.. Nothing to see here move along ?

Illegal border crossing slowed for a few short years because our economy collapsed and there was no work to be had. Nothing much has really changed in that regard, yet it's now at epic proportions. You want to deny that the flow of illegal border crossings isn't currently at an all time high?

This is an orchestrated event and now the president wants to give them safe passage by having them avoid the trip through Mexico. Imagine that

We can only pray that the Senate goes Red and then both Houses can finally get the balls to impeach this person who is destroying what so many gave so much to defend.
