Lie? K. Clinton had the absolute best economy and no debt. He was the best president this country has ever seen.

Oh dear lord this is hilarious. This entire thread completely reinforces my theory that democrat v. republican / conservative v. liberal discussions are the lowest form of debate out there. Lets review some of the inane, unsupported, childish, and ultimately clever thing already said here...

My favorites
-If you really wanna piss off a lefty, call them comrade.

-I'm glad America is starting to wake up and see the left for what it truley is. A den of hatred and malevolence against all things American.

-So please don't get into one of these contests with me, because I will win. The truth always triumphs over lies.

-just like here in California where they want to make eating fish bad now because it hurts the fish's feelings,
Liberalism at its finest

-The simple fact is that liberals hate this country.

-The simple fact is that some people like yourself are living a lie and you got your head..........
(picture omitted)

-and you liberals leftwing folks..........
(picture omitted)

-Clinton had the absolute best economy and no debt. He was the best president this country has ever seen.

I think he is not conservative enough fiscally.....foreign policy I think he is doing well considering what he inherited.

Remember I was on someone else's campaign in 2000.

Ok I will follow your logic for a moment. Regan cut taxes and spend up big on defense. Dose that mean Regan is apart from main stream Republians ?
Whos campaign were you apart of in 2000?

I take offense to that. To even hint that I may be part liberal is horrible! And as far as conservative vs. liberal debate. Deal with it. They're the two most powerful parties, so they'll take up the most arguing space. And I thought we(the libs and conservatives) were having a pretty good debate myself.

I never stated that you or anyone else was part liberal or vice versa, I was stating that the Democrats and Republicans are in essence the same thing making it pointless to argue as if it were and ideology and not some simple pandering and unbased political party.

And I am dealing with it, quite well in fact. Through laughter and posting on an Internet forum I have gained a way to cope.

Then I'm going to have to say that your standards, in particular, are quite low. There was a huge load of logical fallacies up in what some might say 'the hizzie,' a lot of straw mans and rapid changings of subject, cop outs and blurring between party and ideological lines, it was ugly.

You have a good point if some people put some thought into some of there posts/threads they would been in for the shock of there life times when they realize that there arguments make no logical sense.
ATS would be boring if everyone used logic in there arguments.
What do you mean by blurring between party and ideological lines?

Quite right indeed, its good to have a little color around here and passionate viewpoints. This thread simply annoyed me due to some extremely gross generalizations and childish little feuds.

This was on of the gross generalizations I mentioned. There was a lot of mixing between liberal and Democrat as well as conservative and Republican. The two terms were used interchangeably as if they were the same damn thing several times over. There were many different instances of, say, someone making a point on liberalism and then the opponent attacking Kerry/Democrats or someone making a point on Bush and then the opponent attacks conservatism.
Even at the beginning of the thread, which so I may remind is titled, Hatred Of America Is Greater Than Love Of Freedom For Some On The Left, (take a large note of some and left) it quickly turned into all democrats and liberals hate America without any real explanation. Political parties are simply shells, they pander to whatever is necessary to gain them votes, if eating babies suddenly became popular and necessary to gain votes then we wouldve seen Bush and Kerry on the TV every week or so eating a baby to gain votes. Ideologies are different however, they are much much larger and encompassing than a simple party and they do not change their ideals and plans simply because of the popular norm or demand. But people on this thread really didnt seem to realize that, so I felt the need to intervene.

Oh thats a good one

Lets see Clinton did it all himself right? With a newt led Congress???

Remember National health Care? No debt? He just paid back a 'very small portion' and Clinton inherited a booming economy, Bush didnt....it was already headed south way before the elections....

I did not here conservatives claiming to move away after Clinton got reelected. We stayed, we fought, and we conquered. God bless Clinton for that!

While you have a good point, Clinton was a poS and you know it. Or at least with you 'name' I would think you would. What would God have blessed that man for? What Christian value did he even remotely hold on to? I do not mean holding the bible in Church, or starting to cry at Ron Brown's funeral when he saw cameras?

Explain yourself a bit better m8.....

Clinton gave religous conservatives a reason to vote. Maybe someday he may truly repent and if he does i would like to share a room in that mansion in the sky with him. Bill also set an example to the rest of the world that the rest of the world applauded. He showed us what it means to be Christian and not of this world.

I dont think you can generalize a whole party, to say they all hate America.
Even though I know what you are getting at, I have read a lot of those books in college. Some are true though, The US has done a lot of things that are wrong and a lot of things that are great. The people that complain all the time about the US are just whinning and going agianst the system. In college I would hear a lot of these US sucks arguments, but if you ask , what they would do in these situations, they are complaining about, they never have a realistic answer.
A lot of it has to do with the US being number 1 and using its power for the good of the US citizen. Every country in history has done this, and if it was not us, it would be someone else.

People that have it good never know it.

The rich just pass the cost of higher fuel to you. Could GW be in league with Higher fuel cost to buy support for his evil attack on the world at the cost of your pocketbook and American lives.

I wonder how much he hopes to pocket from that???
