It is funny how many see Israel as the bad guys, that they do not give Palestine a country, do not free them etc...

With that said what the hell was Jordan before that country was a country? If you look back they were the Arab Palestine when Israel and Trans Jordan were created. We also have Egypt to the south of Gaza and even Syria and Lebanon to the north, but some how none of the land in those countries is Palestine, even though France and the Brits created all those countries after the Ottoman empire lost in WWI.

Do people here really think that a strip of land 15 miles by 2 or 3 miles is somehow magically Palestine? If there ever was a place there wasn't one when the Ottoman Empire rules the area, so why now? I also need someone to explain to me how these Arab countries around Israel are magically exempt as Palestine land. Remember even Israel is an extremely small place, with much bigger Arab countries around them.

Most Palestinians do want peace and that peace all hinges on the choices that Israelis and the Israeli government make.

How do you know most Palestinians want peace?.....why do most Israeli's not want peace and their peace hinge on what choices the Palestinian government make?

No need to bang your head.
Yes, the so called Muslim caliphate as well.

Just tell your government to stop arming and funding muslim extremist, such as ISIS and the Muslim brotherhood, which Obama and Clinton was found guilty of doing by an Egyptian court.

Man, I really I wish these stupid, irrelevant posts would just go away. They're nothing more than answers to questions that haven't been asked. Rebuttals to arguments that haven't been brought up. A cheap attempt to feel victorious over battle the other side didn't even know they were involved in. They add nothing to the argument- they detract from it, turning the thread into a competition, rather than a discussion.

One would probably make their own thread about the subject instead rather than try to derail other threads with it, but that would be the logical thing to do.

And yes, I've been guilty of similar behavior in the past, but unlike you, I know better now and don't do that anymore. Figure I'd bring that up just in case you felt like derailing this thread even more.

Since when did presenting the counter argument become derailing?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You are entitled to support Sharia law and Muslim Caliphates, and I am entitled to support people who don't kill people because they don't share the same beliefs. Whatever.

Whatever. You expect a logical person to believe that America spent all the money they spent to install a democracy in Iraq, only to spend more money to fund a group that wants to destroy it? You're going to have to come to the table with a little bit more if you expect a sane person to buy that conspiracy theory.

Wasnt Mandela a terrorist in his own right? Advocating, and giving orders to carry out bombings and other attacks?

After he died there was a lot of truth telling about his life, a lot of crap came up that i find im not able to simply ignore, given his public image as a savoir, man of peace. This terrorist has lost all credibility with me.

There is no such thing as “The Palestinian homeland”.

Palestinians are mythical fake refugees with a fake history.

Jesus never ever walked about in the streets and villages of 'Palestine'.

Five minutes in any search engine plainly shows that Palestinian history is a complete fabrication.

Indeed, there is no such a thing like a Palestinian people, or a Palestinian culture, or a Palestinian language, or a Palestinian history. There has never been any Palestinian state, neither any Palestinian archaeological find nor coinage. The present-day “Palestinians” are an Arab people, with Arab culture, Arabic language and Arab history. They have their own Arab states from where they came into the Land of Israel about one century ago to contrast the Jewish immigration. That is the historical truth. They were Jordanians (another recent British invention, as there has never been any people known as “Jordanians”), and after the Six-Day War in which Israel utterly defeated the coalition of nine Arab states and took legitimate possession of Judea and Samaria, the Arab dwellers in those regions underwent a kind of anthropological miracle and discovered that they were Palestinians – something they did not know the day before.

Origin of the Name Palestine

After the destruction of the second Temple by the Roman Empire, the name of the land was changed to Palestine, to erase the name of the Jewish entities that had existed there- Judea and the Israel- and the name of Jerusalem was changed as well- to Capitonlina. this is how the Romans controlled the places they conquered- remove the original settlers and erase the name of the land from memory.

To use the name Palestine in the mouth of Arabs who claim it as their homeland is a terrible lie, and is preventing Israel from living in peace. the Jews did not come to throw peaceful shepherds out of their picturesque villages. the Jews came home to their ancient land after having tried for 2000 years to put down roots in other places. since no such place existed anywhere, the revival of the Jewish state was the result. a blessed event which the world should applaud. instead, now there is a movement afoot to deny the Jews their independence. so-called historical Palestine includes Syria and Jordan, yet the Arabs of Gaza and Judea and Samaria do not claim that for themselves. it should make one think!! so think!

If only the Palestinians had a leader the stature of Mandela, then perhaps peace would be possible........

Without a willing partner who doesn't want to eradicate the other side after the ink dries on the peace treaty, Peace will not be possible.

The Palestinians have never had any political leader near the level of Mandela.

Hey Smith:
this is a little off topic for the thread topic…but, yes I do expect a logical person to see that, for it's right in front of them. It's way more complicated than that. We spent all that money, and soldier's lives, btw, to "liberate" a country that now is falling prey to the very religious apathied we Textwere supposedly trying to prevent.

It isn't that hard to see what we've been participating in is anything but what we've been told, reasonably. "spreading freedom?" really? These were Bush's words on the eve of war…..

America read=petrochemical dollars, wished to dispense with OPEC, whom calls the price on a daily barrel of oil….you don't think the bushes and cheneys of the world don't friggin hate the f**ck out of that? Get real. They absolutely do. And wish to end it, and claim power over the energy supplies of the world and what is paid for it, daily….

So there was post earlier that South Africa was turning into chaos, getting worse all the time, crime was skyrocketing....

Those are different issues...at least all men are equal there now under the law. No man should live in tyranny. The price of freedom is great and the Apartheid there in SA really set the stage for what's happening there now.

A lot of people are calling Mandela a terrorist. But if you were being oppressed and had less rights in your own country than another ethnic group, you would be a terrorist too. We all would if that happened in America to us, now. It's easy to judge and label other's from a distance. Be honest with yourselves.

Still other's are holding Israel blameless. Really? How can you do that? Or they're playing the "Both sides have committed atrocities" card. That's called fence sitting. Grow a backbone and speak the truth. Still others are saying that until Hamas and the Palestinians want peace there will be none.

Take a good hard look at the timeline. 3 teenagers were killed. At this point it doesn't matter who did it. Could have been a couple of Palestinian serial killers...Israel was incensed and they killed innocent Palestinian civilians and children. Then Hamas launched a few ineffective rockets that killed no one and then Israel decided to kill as many Palestinian as they could.

Yes?

Really well thought out answer. We can tell you listen to MSM propaganda and don't research the issue. You really should.

Maybe they should stop electing terrorist groups to represent them and support terrorism. Then maybe they can work on being "free".
