Actually a lot of people have already thought that. In fact, it's a very common scenario used by the pro Israeli side.

Then No one in Israel should have any business asking the US for money or any kind of support.

Hasn't the usa already done want Israel is doing now. You know, move into a country and take the land and when the people already there say no and start to fight back kill them and chuck the survivors on a reservation.

I understand that it's easy to feel for the Palestinians. They're smaller, less populated, militarily tiny. They're the underdogs. I believe they should have their own sovereign nation, of course that's not all they want.

My point is, there are so many Americans that condemn the recent military actions of Israel in Gaza. But no one thinks, well what if Mexico or Canada launched 160 rockets randomly into the US and american teenagers were killed and sprawled out on the streets. Well, the US would bomb everything and everyone that had anything to do with the attack.

Just a bit hypocritical to condemn Israel for doing something the US would do in a New York minute were the roles reversed.

While I don't disapprove of Israel's retaliation, the bolded part is pure propaganda by you. The three teens were kidnapped and killed, not victims of rockets. Also, most of the non-intercepted rockets fall upon uninhabited areas, so there isn't death and destruction sprawled along the streets of Israel.

I do agree though, that regardless of where the rockets are striking we (the US) would, and Israel as they are should directly deal with the issue. Not with airstrikes though, Hamas tends to like to fire rockets from populated areas that include many innocent civilians.

This whole nonsensical parade of madness was the/is the aftermath of a retaliation justified by the death/murder of three Jewish civilians right?

Wrong!!!

To quote a post from another thread

Gaza is not being hit in retaliation for the 3 kidnapped/murdered Israeli teens. The kidnapping and murder happened in the West Bank, not Gaza. After the bodies were found, Israel didn't just go and start pounding Gaza as some here would have you to believe... Hamas launched rockets and Israel hit those launch sites. After Hamas escalated rocket fire to 100+ per day, Israel continued to hit those launch sites in addition to targeting the homes of Hamas leadership.

You obviously dont know what you're on about. So why are you just throwing things out there!? Do your homework! Im sick of having to clear up disinfo on this site.

Well let''s just do the ATS thing and boil down the numbers before calling foul.

Palestine casualties 140+
Israeli casualties -0-maybe one.

Don`t take us as fools.

I just said this in another thread and it applies here:

Voltaire had it right: “To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize”

Hmmm... wonder who that would be...

Not sure what that has to do with anything I said but in general I agree with you 100%. Make no mistake though. Those who give financial aid get plenty in return as far as intelligence. Technology, Science and military alignment. It serves the US National security interests to give Military Aid funding.

All this proves is that Israel is good at protecting its citizens, while Hamas intentionally draws Israel fire to areas with their civilians, encouraging them to be human shields and sacrificed for propaganda purposes...

But what it hides, is the fact that Israel treats the Palestinian people like animals. When a people are subjugated and denigrated and oppressed in this manner, they fight back. It's simple human psychology and history.

What a stupid argument...Really.
I do not see US forces going door to door, kidnapping and or killing our neighbors to the north or south.
I do not see US jets and helicopters raining down hot metal death on our neighbors either.
I have not seen the missile barrages going from the US to it's neighbors.
I am not aware of the US fencing in these countries and making a blockade allowing only what we deem to be harmless through.
I was not aware of the US invading Mexico and Canada to steal their land displacing thousands from the land they own.

However, if we did all of these things...hell any of these things, then I believe a rocket attack would be justified.
I do however realize that by that point all that our neighbors would have to fight with would probably be just rocks, kind of like all the Palestinians have to fight with.
I find it hard to believe that anyone who claims to have a working brain could be a fence sitter, or apologist, yet alone a genocidal supporter...

I think they need to sit down and write each other a letter about there feeling between each other.
I think Hamas is stupid as can be, and probably deserve retaliatory strikes, They need to stop showing any aggression to Israel, Because that's what the mainstream media is reporting on, and pouring down our throats.

They are trying to justify their strikes against the Palestinian people and calling it collateral causalities, Hamas are just as bad, but sadly in the end, its the innocent and juvenile that pay the ultimate price.

I see this escalating, and I predict intervention on both sides.

This is the man point.

To say that America "would do the same thing as Israel" is a false analogy.

America would never have allowed the United States (in whole or part) to be handed over to foreigners. Sure as heck not because of a vote by the United Nations.

But the Palestinians did not have a standing army. And while other Middle Eastern nations came to their aid, they were unable to prevent the violent theft of their land and dismantling of their nation.

These so called rockets they are firing today dates back to 1947. As useless as it is, they are still fighting the Israeli invasion and occupation. Why? Because the Israeli aggression continues to this day, stealing more land, killing or displacing more Palestinians and finally imprisoning them behind a 30 foot wall in their own country...

I could go on about entitlements, imposing religious beliefs on others by force, property rights, self defense etc., but whats the point?

Those in charge have made it clear that might makes right. Morality has little value on this planet, especially when governments are involved.

I do apologize sir for not doing my homework

I'm pretty sure Israel launched an offensive about a week ago, why did they launch that operation? calling up 40,000 reserves to man the boarder.

Why did Hamas step up rocket attacks? Launching them on a scale not seen for months?

Why did Israeli citizens murder a Palestinian lad?

Why did Israel step up cross border raids in Gaza?

Non of my questions above have any correlation to the kidnapping and murder of three Israelis do they?

Hamas have been launching rocket/mortars into Israel for months now (nothing crazy.... just about 3 or so a day)...... it didnt just start recently. Israel simply never responded properly. But since the beggining of July it has become too much to bear (80 rockets a day is not a joke)... So Israel started to respond. Ofcourse you would know this if you ever left your armchair and visited these places!

All the while Hamas calls for human shields

You didn't answer any of my questions, but yes Hamas started to upscale it's usual couple a day rockets I'm well aware of this I never needed to leave my armchair not that I'm actually sitting in one.

As long as those who "fight" for the Palestinian cause use crude ineffective rockets against Israel they will be on the loosing foot, They are pissing in the wind... Just getting their sandals wet.

Anyway why so pent up? Maybe you should sit in an armchair and have a bit relax time

The USA doesn't have to have Mexico lobbing rockets from across the Border, the USA goes and does the exact same thing in places like Iraq and then leaves the place worse than what it was to begin with.

Look as rediclous as all your perceptions of each other may be. The US has been in this same situation before. It was called the Cuban missle crisis. If they werent being backed by russians and didnt have nukes, it would of played out exactly like this Gaza counter assault!

We would of Air stiked every missle site and leadership building just as they are! Gaza doesnt have anything else of strategic military value ie; air defence or radar facilities. If they did then they would have destroyed those too by now.

America wouldnt have had stopped there. After destroying all there assests, we would have sent in infantry and taken out the rest of the threat with minimal civilian casualties. This is what I dont understand about Israel! Its not like Gaza has nukes or are being backed by any serious power. So Why are they continuing to waste money on fuel and munitions to air strike the crap out of a country and risk increased civilian casualties when they can just go in there with boots on the ground and eliminate the threat then just leave. Dont stay and invade. Its not like Israel cares what the world thinks of them anyways, so just get it over with. If they do care then send in unmarked troops! Im sure being the natonalistic country that they are, that they would have many volunteers to carry out this near suicide operation to finally eliminate the threat... for now. The more they sit here and use satellite data and projectile trajectory data to pick targets ineffectively, the more I feel they are stalling for potential nefarious reasons. If Israel really cared as much as there IDF facebook makes them out to care. Then take care of your damn mess already! Your spilling beer on your damn self!
