To be fair, Hamas did come to power through threats, intimidation, and violence... They have shot their political opponents in the legs and threw them off the nearest building. No need to apologize! I am sure that some Palestinians have killed some Israeli children. This is a sad reality in an area riddled with violence.

I wonder how many Palestinian children have died from white phosphorous or the ones in Gaza who are left to die in an open air prison. That being said, what is your take on the view of Zionists in regards to those who they consider Goyim? It is a simple question and I do believe that the answer lies in some of the not so innocent actions of those on the Israeli side.

Here's the thing, Israel and the Palestinian people have alot, A Lot, of bad blood between them, going back a couple thousand years, of course they weren't called Palestinains then, but, yeah, animosity from both sides...

Both sides are to blame here. Both sides have so much history that it will never be solved until one side or the other gives more than the other. I don't think that will ever happen.

I think that the ME is a powder keg with gasoline poured on top and a fuse already lit. It will blow up again, as it has in the past. That whole mess over there is bad news and both sides have a hand in it.

It's hard to read posts bashing one or the other. And I understand, as much as I can from here in America, that there is alot, obviously, of emotion involved, I read it in the posts on here. It is a sad situation, I don't like to see people suffer on either side but I can't blame just one.

I can't tell you how to think or feel, that is all you, but to solely blame one side is frankly naive and predijuced.

When you are going after a specific location, why use something that rains down upon all. It goes back to that question you have not answered, in regards to the treatment of "Goyim"

History is stocked full of atrocities that stem from one group believing themselves to be superior to another. It is terrible and should be stopped anywhere it is happening. This includes Israel.

As I said before, there is no simple solution. When the borders were more open there were many suicide bombings and other attacks in Israel. Close the borders and guess what? Those bombings stopped... Funny how that worked.

What do you propose Israel do? Just tear down the walls and then all the Palestinians will swear off violence? Are you really that naive? I have no doubt that many in Gaza and the West Bank want peace, but there are more than enough that don't and will not stop the killing... And FYI, currently there are some Palestinians that are allowed to cross into Israel daily to work. Before the suicide bombings there were quite a few that had good paying jobs in Israel.

And don't forget as someone else pointed out earlier, Israel tried to give the West Bank and Gaza to Jordan and Egypt - they didn't want them... Also, you do know Egypt controls the southern border to Gaza right? Where is the outcry toward Egypt for maintaining this "open air prison"? Egypt could very easily abolish this "prison" by opening the southern crossing - ask yourself why don't they?

The truth of the matter is that none of the Arab countries give a damn about the Palestinians, they just like to use them as a tool against Israel. The ones that made it to Jordan are treated like second class citizens there, not allowed a passport, etc.

After what OUR countries have done these past few years......we still blame Isreal for killing people that actually pose a threat to them by kidnapping and rocket fire, I agree they use overkill tactics, which is wrong. Most isreali homes have bomb shelters. Imagine that in the US? How would the US react in a similar situation.......MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE....we all know that........... while we kill a million Iraqi's, all over a lie, but thats ok???

All of a sudden, whaddya know, 3 Israeli teenagers are "kidnapped" and later found dead, and all the focus shifts from the criticism of Israel again for it's murders, and instead the world press is pushing the victimhood of the poor Jews once again.

Probably not.

FYI - pretty much most of the southern half of the country is within range of missiles possessed by Hamas... Granted, the bigger ones smuggled in from Iran have not been used lately, but even the smaller one made in Gaza are nothing to sneeze at - 5 - 20 kg of explosives will ruin your day if it is close enough.

Would you prefer that Israel not use precise weapons and just carpet bomb the general area? Since I'm under attack is it then ok for me to randomly launch rockets back at Gaza? Maybe Israel should just hand out rockets to the people that live close to Gaza so they can return fire - just as accurately...

When rockets are launched, those launch sites are hit. If the IDF didn't respond to these attacks the politicians would be lynched by the public. In fact, few years back Israel didn't directly respond to each attack for a while and there was a huge public outcry.

I hear a lot of hate directed toward Israel, but no but nobody has given any real solutions. I bet if missiles were landing in your neighborhood, people would feel a little differently about things and not blithely brush off the "poorly self made" rockets, or fireworks as some have called them.

These types of events show just how much restraint Israel has been using for a very long time... Imagine if a group of rioters were throwing stones at police in the US, what do you bet the cops start shooting? If you attack people with guns, you really shouldn't be surprised if they shoot at you... But in this case the Palestinians are emboldened because they know Israel doesn't want the bad press.

There's a story that I've heard a few different versions of where some Soviet diplomats were kidnapped while in Lebenon in the 1980's and how they dealt with the situation, and how effective their response was at preventing future kidnappings. Here's one version I found:
