Can a president be impeached for what his administration does? I thought it had to be HIS actions.

If that were true, then Reagan would have been impeached for the Iran/Contra Affair. But "HE" didn't know about it!

Well if some want to play that game.

Obama can be impeach for FAST and FURIOUS.

OR the massive immigration of minors from south and central America.

Or the massive immigration from Mexico in to this country for no reason that just wanting their votes.

Or lying about Benghazi.

Or the IRS.

Or the Department of Injustice failure to be the Department of JUSTICE.

Lots of others too.

No game. Reagan was NOT impeached, Bush was NOT impeached for lying to American Public, and I don't believe that Obama will be impeached either, for any of those things you've listed above. And, they certainly won't be in Boehner's hyped up lawsuit either.

I suggest somebody read the GD Iraq war resolution.

en.wikipedia.org...

GW, and Cheney didn't write that.

CONGRESS did.

Jeeze. Follow the conversation/train of thought, bro. A US President has never been impeached for questionable things his administration did.

Yeah follow the conversation of Obama.

He was 'against' abusing executive power til he was 'for' it.

As the videos posted earlier in the thread clearly show his cognitive dissonance.

If the government actually worked and stopped being a pissing contest maybe there would be less executive orders needed. Instead, each party tries to stonewall the president that isn't a part of their party. The republicans do it to Obama, the democrats did it to Bush in an attempt to trick the public into thinking the president was a lame duck come re-election time.

Instead of coming up with BS ideas like this, how about Congress tries to work with the white house and vice versa to do whats best for the country? Won't happen but its a good idea...

So in which court will Boehner file this lawsuit? The Supreme Court cannot directly case this case because if convicted then the Supreme Court will have found Obama guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors" which is a case for Impeachment. Impeachment can only begin in the House. Obama can use "executive privilege" to avoid any summons by a lower court.

Sorry but this is nothing more than a publicity stunt for about 1/3 (up to 2/5 by some accounts) of the population Butler County and the nearly 90% of the remaining counties of his home district that want Boehner removed from office. The direct local quote is that he "needs his ass kicked" but that is just the words of someone who lives here (and may have said as such a number of times).

This really seems like a November ploy, really how long will it take for this court case to happen? This will just be a talking point for the coming election. The postponements will be horrendous as the POTUS, and the court case will just cost the citizens on both accounts. All the while the MSM plays as they always do the big bad republicans are the problem looking for phoney scandals.

The republicans control the money, what can be done in the government if there is no money? Obama can write any executive order but without money it doesn't matter. This is why it was BS to shout repealing Obummer care, just don't appropriate the money. Tie his spending hands by closing the checkbook, how ridiculous is it to cry the president spends too much money while you hand him the cash?

Some day the public is going to catch on, then this foolishness will be over. ATS will lead the way in this regard.

Na just lying about getting a BJ in the oval office. But here is the deal it is getting so tired saying so and so did this and so and so did that. When is are you going to realize crying over spilled milk is silly, there is nothing that can be done about the past. The question is what are you going to do about today?

Why isn't this about impeachment? If the POTUS has violated the law and ignored the law, then he's broken his oath and needs to be forcibly removed from office.

Exactly what laws has Obama violated or ignored? It is not about impeachment as they have nothing to impeach Obama for....

Here's an ultra-Rich comment from Nancy Pelosi about immigration and GW Bush....

"Not only have we not passed an immigration bill, they have used the president's actions to protect some vulnerable parties as a basis to sue the president," Pelosi said.

Pelosi praised Obama's predecessor for his views on immigration during his administration.

"He was so great on immigration, President George W. Bush. He cautioned in this debate to be respectful of the people that we're talking about. That's really not what's happening right now," Pelosi said.

This is like Christmas in July for the Tea Party. Maybe we'll see Fox News cutting from the Benghazi hearings to the impeachment hearings. The Repubs might as well go for the trifecta and dredge (or is that Drudge?) up the birth certificate scandal!
