We did not assume it was a sasquatch. It was just a sudden feeling of dread. It was in an area where I have seen a strange animal that I could not identify. The video on this thread of an upright black bear could be an explanation...even though this area is not known to have bears. It was just a brief glimpse of something big and hairy. It was very odd that three people in a quiet wooded area suddenly got scared for no obvious reason. We were hunting squirrel and rabbits. All of us had guns. There are wild hogs and the occasional cougar in the area, but they don't scare me.

I have had another possible sasquatch experience that probably deserves its own thread.

Sorry maybe I was misguided by your wording when you said "another possible Sasquatch experience" I thought maybe you were insinuating you had already had an encounter?

Please share your story?

Yep, I believe what you saw. I have posted my two encounters in a couple of threads here on ATS. I saw one on the south part of the Kaibab National park. I left camp to do a little exploring by myself on a rocky trail lined with Ponderosa pine, creosote and low mesquite. Along the way I had to stop and urinate. I was facing a small hill with a bunch of shrubs and ponderosa in front of me. As I was finishing my business, I heard a noise and looked up and this creature started to rise from behind the shrubs/ponderosa. It was facing away from me. It had matted black hair and clearly had a very muscular humanoid shape and was probably 7 to 8 feet tall. I was frozen still.
The creature then bounded up around the rocky hill and ran away out of sight. After a few seconds, I gathered my self and ran back to camp to tell my friends.
The second time, my friends and I heard a loud guttural scream late at night camping along a lake at the base of the Mogollon rim. It sounded like a pissed off old woman that was being murdered, but with immense lung power. It was very loud and echoed through the canyons that go up the rim. I think it scared the campers across the lake because we heard them and then saw the headlights of their vehicle as they took off.
One of these days, I want to go to back to the Mogollon camp site and take a bunch of recording equipment with me and camp out for about a week. This area could sustain such a creature.

People have shot them before and I've also heard many stories of people that see them in their scope but can't pull the trigger because it looks too human. Would you seriously shoot something you saw in the woods standing on two feet?? No because you're not a murderer and the few ppl that do see them and debate shooting them think twice because of how massive they are. If your shot misses and you piss off an 800lb pure muscle Bigfoot that can move through the forest incredibly fast, what do you think he's going to do to you? Some of the missing 411 cases deal with men that have gone in armed and disappeared but show signs of a struggle and rounds being shot off but no dead Bigfoot. There's also a case of a man shooting at one at his camp with 2 other hunters, he ends up being found crushed to death, one hunter goes to find him and doesn't come back, so the last hunter flees and reports to the authorities.

There are few cases of people shooting at them if you just read in to it and many more of people aiming and looking through the scope only to be so afraid of what they see they won't dare pull the trigger and instead run. Just think how scared you'd be to see that something you laughed about as a fairy tale was a real life 9 foot monster staring you down in the middle of nowhere with no one to call for help. I'd take a video then I'd run and report it to ats ASAP.

Even bow hunters don't shoot at them:

LOL! Thanks. I am planning a trip this summer with another amateur bigfoot investigator that lives in my area. I already have a parabolic dish with microphone and a monocular night vision goggle. My next purchase is one of those GoPro movie cameras that I will rig up to my shoulder or upper chest and some audio recording equipment. The other person has a couple of game cameras and I want to buy two more to rig up in a perimeter around our campsite. We are working on the game plan and won't be doing "Finding Bigfoot" tactics, that's for sure.

ETA: I would suggest The Cult - Ceremony. Have you heard this song?

If only a quarter of them have been discovered how do you know there are a quarter that have been discovered?

This is exactly my thought, and it is also the reason why science is in this position in the first place. They think they know everything, when in fact we know nothing.

Great detailed sighting and with the gigantic amount of evidence out there of Bigfoot, I see no reason to not take your word for it.

Where do you live? I've tracked BF since they live nearby. After a year their presence became as common as anything else tho and I've basically ignored them for the last 3 years. Nothing else to do about them. I know they still visit and catch glimpses of them or hear them. The experience has forever opened my mind tho because if I know they exist so easily then I'm certain the government also knows. Yet they refuse to acknowledge it, why?

Squatching with others can be a hoot. Only did it with an old man from the BFRO who staked out my woods for several months.

I don't think most people would try to hurt a BF but some people are paranoid and would cause serious harm to them. My mother won't visit anymore past dusk and seriously wants them dead. She thinks they regularly cause people to go missing and suffers from extreme pareidolia. Every shadow or branch swaying she translates as a BF stalking her when she's here.

Nothing else to do about them?!? If you have such easy access to bigfoot, why not take some high quality video footage? That's something that's sadly lacking.

David Attenborough is VERY familiar with wildlife. Here he is talking about Yetis and Sasquatch:

Nothing like a bit of 'footer wishful thinking. He seems to use the terms interchangeably/generically. In particular referencing this.....

Not too many "good ol' boys" get around the "logging roads" of the Himalayas at 19,000 ft.

You draw really well you know, just a question to the OP. What do you believe you saw? That`s pretty important no?

I'm curious, just how many bear carcasses have you ran across in the woods?

The point is, bears are found regularly. How many bigfoot have you found?

barfstew.blogspot.com.au...

With in the last 10 years, Shelly Williams, PhD, a specialist in primate behavior, confirmed a newer acknowledged ape species, the natives knew it existed already. This animal wasn't hiding, no one of 'importance' formally discovered it yet.
The Bili Ape (Bondo) can stand around 6 ft tall and some weigh over 200 lbs.

That's a big ole boy.

They have had skulls from the Bondo region for over 100 years. In 1996 anti "bush meat" campaigner and photographer Karl Amman found all sorts of things, including a Bili Ape skull on his first visit to the region. Within 10 years (5 of which access was made difficult due to civil war) scientists were confirming existence and even their place on the phylogenic tree. They have even found them being sold for bushmeat.

All of this in the remote and dangerous Congo...... lions, hyenas, leopards, elephants, civil war and worst of all...poachers.

Yet in the US, where only 5% of forest remain intact enough to be considered "pristine", where the fate of most large mammals is to have their range reduced or hunted to the brink of extinction, where there are more weapons per capita than probably anywhere else on earth.....nothing of bigfoot in the 400 years or so of colonisation. At least nothing that isn't obviously hoaxed, probably hoaxed, or simply wishful thinking. Despite being seen in every US state, crossing roads, sneaking into rural areas of the remote "Kentucky wilderness" to snack on bagels, borrowing garlic from farmers, being "habituated" left right and centre, having various descriptions to suit any taste ...bigfoot the "b grade movie prop", the "shagpile carpet", the "Muppet". It looks more like a religion with a tradition of pious fraud, doesn't get any more bogus.

There will be a reason people see bigfoot, that doesn't necessitate a genuine species of real biological bigfoots.

This creature obviously doesn't have bigfoot's "super senses" re game cams...it isn't even blurry, shakey or out of focus. Could you point out anything remotely similar for bigfoot?

Setting up a webcam to take timelapse photos would be the easiest thing to do, and you can record anything from critters moving around the ground to clouds, insects and birds in the sky.

I did that from my apartment and was surprised to see foxes and hedgehogs moving around. The freakiest time was hearing a ticking noise in my bedroom for several weeks, then discovering a large moth hiding behind the curtain rails. There wasn't any source of food or water...

I have dozens of photos but trying to get top quality ones was proven so difficult in the first months of hardcore Squatching that I gave up. There is something odd about their ability to "know" certain things. I've concluded they can see infrared light which makes filming a bitch since they're most active at night.

Here's a good photo in my personal album. Snapped it from my house. Still had to zoom 20x and contrast tho.

And it moving its head. s1207.photobucket.com...

Also took some photos of an old U.S. special forces training map for the Pacific Northwest that the BFR0 investigator brought over.

You can see Sasquatch is one of the dangerous animals they might encounter.

I've not bothered them for years now. However, they get up to shenanigans and aren't afraid to bother me on occasion. Guests that leave my house late at night (roughly 10:00 PM or later) have been prone to have experiences with them checking them out too. Especially girls/women. Not joking.
