First bump and well put Des! I was kind of hoping-- with
bad things happening in threes, that we could see the
hari kiri of a major player in the diplomatic corps too.

I guess it depends on the size and color of the chute
sometimes. But now that Jay's resigned I could expect
his integrity remains intact enough to hold off a book deal...

'Obama admin lackey' ?

'Carney maybe human' ?

Don't bet on it.

The job of the White House press secretary is nothing but to spin issues.

Some call it getting paid to lie for a living.

Glad to see him go, but I will be glad to see his boss go more so.

Yea. You're probably right. It seems to come with the job.

Well, it's been real and it's been fun, but it sure hasn't been real fun.

I'm NOT sorry to see him go.

I wonder how much of a back story there is?

Question of the age, Wrabbit. We may hear from half the
Beltway before bedtime Sunday-- just for all the cannon
fodder this administration has halfheartedly tossed in the
soup over the last six years.
So many unanswered questions, so little time.

I'd just like to know for once in my life what our batting
average is as an ATS hive.

You may want to wake up to President Biden, but I sure don't..

I'll take what's gone and call it a good start. Maybe the boss is FINALLY looking to tighten that ship of State a little and lead in their faces. It'd be nice to see Obama mad. He'd get things done in a messy situation I don't think even he really controls anymore.

I've thought long and hard about that Wrabbit. Obama did indeed get a good insurance policy in Biden, but at this rate... I think he might possibly do a better job. He certainly can't do any worse. He may embarrass us a bit with his unfiltered mouth, but I don't think he would piss off as many folks quite as often as Obama seems to.

In either case, were certainly not "winning" as old Charlie would say.

It is fun reading progressive blogs like dailykos poster's reactions. They are throwing the word "Benghazi" around more than anyone else as a major contributing factor, but sarcastically of course. Methinks they protest too much.

They are desperately trying to delude themselves into believing "he just wants to spend more time with his family."

"An honor and a joy" said Carney ... funny how the liberals look at lying as a job.

Carney was loosing his cool and getting caught lying to often, time for a whole new missinfo, misdirection lying Obama lackey. Should be interesting.

I'd lay good odds that he publishes a book in the next year or so..... defining his experiences with the current administration during his time there.

should make for an 'interesting' read.

It is definitely time for Jay to leave. Watching him was almost as painful as watching Nancy P. speak.

Although

Perfect time to use " I wasn't here at the time of that scandal either, but I will look in to it and get back to you "

Of course it's another Obama toad boy. I've reserved that name, toad boy, for Jay. I'll have to come up with a new one for his replacement....

Viola...toad boy wanna be...Josh Earnest.

President Obama announced Friday that Jay Carney will step down as White House press secretary after more than three years and be replaced by his deputy Josh Earnest, who worked on the Obama campaign in 2008.

Earnest, 39, has been Carney's top deputy and regularly fills in for the press secretary during daily briefings at the White House and aboard Air Force One when the president leaves Washington. Carney said Earnest would travel with Obama to Europe next week, and the press secretary said he would formally leave his job in mid- to late-June.

I have to admit, having a fresh, new face lying to me on a daily basis will be a nice change of pace.

And after that, it's President Boehner, and that makes me shudder, too. The pols sure know how to line up the crap, don't they? It's a wonderful insurance policy.

The above is reported to be the actual video of Jay Carney when he got the news that he "resigned".

As for his resigning, what job does one pursue after you've already sold your soul and pride and principle?

I think they tried to get Baghdad Bob to take Carney's place, but I heard that he had too much integrity.

Poor Jay was looking a little tired and used up. I guess you can only tell so many lies before the magic is just gone.

Oh.. please don't say that. There CAN be worse than Obama. Oh Good God yes..there CAN be worse. We haven't even seen it as bad as it's gotten in our own nation around the first part of the 20th for open and brutal oppression and repression. Nothing close in real terms.

I hate Obama's agenda and I hate where he'd see the nation go. Every President brings a vision, and to the extent one can make his out, it sucks.

Having said that, he at least HAS one. I think Biden was chosen, like many are, to offset Obama's weaknesses and with someone that posed no threat of ambition. In other words, he made happy the swing segments Obama couldn't reach and was an idiot. Pretty much covers Biden. He goes in the direction of whomever blew last.
