Ego doesnt mean what is presented, we need healthy self esteem and love for self and others. Life is vibrant.

Ego means, more selfless than selfish, not that it forgoes balance and self. Do agree there is a fake kind of ego abasement that is not of Love or Goodness. But serves control very well.

Ego is the kind of thing that relates to elevating self above others. It relates to judging others and keeping with appearances. For example, elderly who lose their beauty, often but not always, some have great beauty and age well. But many lose this and health even, and teeth, front teeth. Its not nice. Another example, taking pride in having health or energy and being the right weight only to discover health issues as we age, energy reduction and weight gain. Perhaps we secretly we were superior to another in this and needed a little awareness.

And they have this ego detachment to materialism. Not that being able to keep up in a healthy manner is wrong but that we are also to overcome image and appearance in the shallow way we often absorb values.

The stages of life, often as we approach autumn/winter, we are overcoming ego attachments naturally. Life itself has its own flow.

They don't count and we walk by others without realizing how wrong our value system is.

Coming out of ego means being capable of seeing the inner values in things. And striving for equality.

what's the difference when all religions were created to control the minds and actions of the masses.

no wonder those in power aren't having any trouble staying there...

they can abuse us all they want and people will give them the other cheek to abuse more and then forgive them for doing so. don't get me wrong. i'm all for love and forgiveness and I believe in a creator, a source, a god, but, if someone's kicking your ass you don't give them more of your ass to kick. mental slavery, that's what all these "religions" amounts to.

In Latin he was saying that Christ is the light bearer, bringing the illumination from heaven, and that his light won't set. There is nothing satanic about it.

He mentioned Lucifer by name, more than once. Or is that the literal definition of the name "Lucifer"?

Lucifer is latin for light bringer. That's the translation. When taken in context with the rest of the prayer, it's obvious that it's not the devil who some call lucifer, but instead is Christ who has as one of his titles in the Christian church ... light bringer.

The OP didn't translate 'lucifer' with the rest of the words that he translated but instead left it in the latin and turned it into a name instead of a title of Christ's.

Even if "Lucifer" means "Morning Star", why did he later refer to Jesus as "Christ your son" (Christus Filius Tuus)?

Jesus is the son of The Morning Star? I thought Jesus WAS the Morning Star.
