UK castles for hire

And for the sea fairing amongst us we can hire a pirate ship....

Are ATS Americans allowed? Can I attend the US national AND the UK national? I promise to watch my grammar and to
use my fork upside down . . . . .

Ektar's vision of a national and her/his regional sounds great then I went to the next page on the thread and saw the castles!!! Count me in for both . . . if allowed. Instead of a typical American baseball cap I'll go for a tin foil

fascinator . . . . .

You mean like this....

Believe it or not that was the first image that came up on google from an ATS thread on tin foil fascinators!!

If it's a castle you will be required to wear this....

or something like this....

I love medieval costumes!

Gorgeous!! Thank you! I like the idea of raising the tin foil hat genre to a higher level.

And the dress is perfect, right size, perfect colors. How did you know???? Oh, that's right, this is ATS and you must be in the psychic area on occasion. . . Methinks this will be a very interesting group we're putting together . . . .

Consider me on board, should be a great time

Des, would you consider making a fascinator for me? I know it would be difficult to ship, but WOW!!! Gorgeous, as are YOU!!!

And I gotta ask . . . . is that a BEEZER coat you're wearing?

I'd be honored to make a tin foil fascinator for you!

No, that isn't one of Beezers clan...it is a silver arctic fox missing some clan members somewhere though.

I'd be glad to ship you my hat, but alas, I tried to put it on Gracie my goat's head to take a pic. Libby, another goat, got jealous snatched it off Gracie's head and quickly wadded it into a ball of tin foil....

I will be bringing a commercial sized box of heavy duty tin foil to the gather, to make hats for all who want them. You are first in line.

I'll be running to be first in line at the US national and will do my best to save it for the UK. And no, its not an honor to make one for me, it is my honor to finally meet the wonderful Des that is so on top of all things ATS and Cool!

Back On Topic: Now that we have our tin foil wear figured out are there any other places for these nationals that should be put on the table? I'm loving' Ektar's suggestions for the US location along with others. Are there anymore suggestions? Should we take a vote now or wait awhile for more members to join in?

I'll be at both regardless, if I'm allowed in the UK national….

I think many of the survivalist members are on East Coast.
JacKatMountain is Shenandoah Valley as well. I have never
kept a toll but I know from listening to the weekly show.

I have also see many members that are from East Coast so
I think we could pull off a convention or get together here...

Cheers
Ektar

Okay, so it is starting to look like we are going to need an underground location to make some folks feel comfortable. It needs to be close to Canada and have a good source of bacon in the area. The place needs personal divided stadium seats for those who want to lurk with their binoculars. At the least it will have to be out of the sun and smell like a basement, it has to have an arena for stress release, lots of bouncy castles and a giant first aid/med station.

It's settled then we'll have it in Detroit.

Maybe we should have a long tunnel with a trampoline floor heading down into the cavern with a pool of boxing gloves and foam head gear for the landing.

Just passing it along, but be careful where you place it "In the D'' ", as inside the city, it's not bad...but once you get lost in one of suburbs just on the outskirts of town, you're doomed.

A better choice for a city (if it's going to be held here in Michigan) might be Novi, Livonia, or Troy - All three have multiple hotels, are safer, and are more used to seeing our kind of people. Plus, you have entertainment close by in Royal Oak, Birmingham (or as us locals call it, Birmingscam), and even Rochester Hills (although I don't venture there too much...too far north for me).

PS: You can try to gather opinions using something like SurveyMonkey - It's how my workplace keeps track of the people that will be attending an event.

Also, I don't know if you knew this, but Skype has pretty much made it's group chat free now; so a huge webcast might be doable.

Late to the show........... as usual.

I think it's a wonderful idea! Since I'm too paranoid to travel -- particularly during hurricane season -- I probably won't be joining.

no, don't pretend to be sorry.

One suggestion: Perhaps in a dark corner of the park, someone could set up an octagon for 911 discussions........

True enough. I was being a bit snarky, anyway. Most would surely be civil, of course, because most of us are that way as a rule. If there were actual incidents, they'd be isolated. Really, finances permitting, there are people here I would love to meet in person! Some, not so much, but that's true anyplace we go.

All the military and police experience would be a help, of course! Have some of that myself.

If we will decide to meet up we need a big place where we can meet and greet..

I've been told that God has a big house and a place for everyone... only if we will behave it will be for free. (wonder if He has a big enough BBQ,tho....?)

Already happened in the Philippine, former (self banned) member Barking Dog Amato had an impromptu gathering at his house. Mostly former members, but some current including a MOD. We all went to their beach place, had a cookout and had a ton of fun. Kids got to play and swim, adults got sun burned. People from the Philippines, Singapore, Guam, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Hawaii, stateside, and some other places. At least 2 of the big time older members were there. His wife was great about the party.

"A good time was had by all."

So members, former members, disgruntled members, and banned members are going to be invited, if they have it again.

Yeah, freakin' people out no doubt...

We need an ATS mascot for the event...I think he fits the bill!

What a blast, a combo of a Boy Scout Jamboree and Woodstock!

Maybe a Bigfoot hunt if near the mountains.

As a newbie I would love to meet the Elders at a gathering of the tribes.
Fun. Fun. Funniest

I take that as a Yea.

Hear ye, Hear ye, all who would be interested in this meeting need only be able to make it to Edmonton International Airport. I got a truck and there is a bunch of cheap rentals as well.

let me know if you're interested mmk?

It would probably end up in one big fist fight....but there would be people making sweet, sweet love too.
Me personally, I like anonymity. Or at least, the illusion of it.
