Hey True!
Hmmm...life is painful, lol...
I've been a little too busy helping a neighbour pack to move...lifting and bending, and generally making my back worse and getting migraines.
But it's not too bad now...so, how are YOU doing? Getting ready for your musical extravaganza?

Yes! Indeed I am!

In fact, I may post a video later on of my handy dandy method of avoiding theft at a rock festival, by application of an assault vest. It sounds berserk, but I think it will make sense when I make the video!

Hey Guys!

Jacy, do proceed at your leisure today, so hopefully You will not Trigger a worse headache! Wish I could help ya there. CC gets those every now and then, and she usually goes to lay down, where it's nice and dark and quiet and sleep for a couple hrs.
Sometimes that helps her, but a lot of times they still last all day...... Hope Yours does not last that long Jacy.
Enough is enough, right?!

True, looking forward to the video of which you spoke! (my imagination sees True in a vest covered in spikes, and a couple built-in tasers! LOL)

Hiya Syx! *waves to CC*

I finally got the Imitrex self-injecting needles, so as soon as I knew it was a migraine, I took the needle. Slept for a couple of hours, and now at least I can function...somewhat...lol.

I too would like to see True's vest. I would imagine it being 'booby-trapped', haha.

Well... It is neither spiked, nor booby trapped, unless you count the horrific man boobs it oft contains!

Oh, incidentally, I know it looks as if I have had a hair cut at the end of the video. I haven't. Do not panic, the apocalypse has been cancelled!

Well, Folks, I'm up and running again. Back at home and back on-line. While I love the library, I can't say I'm a fan of going on-line there, other than to check the news or what have you.

I actually kinda enjoyed the transport back into the eighties. I was "Oot and Aboot" (as Jacy would say...poke, poke) a lot more than normal.

That alone has me thinking. What once was normal, getting out and seeing the world and it's inhabitants makes me realize that I like it. I will be doing my damnest to limit my interwebz in the future. Not so much the Shed, but all the other crap.

I have a bad feeling that I am talking out my ass with this one.

Welcome home TDawg!

It is nice to get out from under the electronic umbrella every now and again, is it not?

Yes it is. I do it almost every 3 months for a couple of weeks...to a degree anyways. I've never had FB, Twitter, nor a YouTube account, among the multitude of other on-line forums (Dawg forbid eHarmony...LOL). I limit myself to ATS. It is after all, a interesting website. There is enough here to make up for all the others.

And Thanks!

A quick aside to the story…..

“Ya know Arty? You really are quite the tool.”

Anteros broke out of his reverie with a start. “Get out of my head!” he thought.

“OH, but Sparky, YOU are IN my head and body, or did you forget that little bit?” Tdawgs voice echoed back at him. “And speaking of which, how in the hell did you choose me out of all the others?”

It was Anteros turn to be amused. “You honestly don’t know? You’re part Ogre!”

“BULL[SNIP]!” TDawg snapped.

Anteros chuckled, but with actual humor this time. “Everybody has a bit of the old world in them…but in your case, it’s mainly Ogre. Don’t be ashamed, it’s a honorable lineage as long as you don’t mind grinding bones and such.”

“And what is your lineage?”

“Me? I’m human to the best of my knowledge, like you thought you were, or maybe a ghost. But all I know now is that I have served this sentence imprisoned here for centuries and even though I have repented it is for naught. That is why I must escape.” The darkness in Dawgs mind took on a tinge of sadness.

“And what was your crime that bound you here?”

“Unrequited Love.”

Good Morning Shedlings. How is everyone so far today?

TDawg! Good to see you back! Welcome Home Bud! Nice entry BTW!

Jacy I'm glad for you that The Imitrex helps. I wasn't aware that it came in an injectible form.
CC had pills that , like she said, made her headaches worse. Felt bad for her.

True, Kool vest there! Handy for sure eh?

Hey Syx!

Yeah, its a pretty handy bit of kit. I wish I had some spare cash, because if I did, I would buy a second one and modify it to take all my tools, so that I could wear it on jobs. It would be so much handier than the tool bag that I have at the moment.

Dont get me wrong, my tool bag is a compact, but effective method of carting my tools around, but a tool vest would definitely be better. That said, it might look a little concerning to some people!

G'Morn back at ya Syx. But I must protest. I am not a Shedling, but rather a Shedder, or maybe a Shedite?

A new day is dawning and I have much to do as usual. The question is...will I continue to procrastinate or get off my ass and do some house cleaning and truck maintenance. Such dreary RL tasks, but they do need to be done. *Sigh*

True...awesome vest, but that would get a person harassed by the coppers over here. But I like the idea that something that was designed for combat can be put to practical yet peaceful intentions.

Night...Your day should be clearing up as the day progresses. In the meantime, drink your coffee and relax.

Jacy...I hope this day finds you well and with no pain. I have no idea how people with migraines can keep going on as they are debilitating to me, though luckily they are few. I count myself fortunate, as I cannot stand headaches. That ranks right up there and beyond a toothache. You're a trooper!

And everybody else... Good Morning and have a GREAT DAY!

I believe I can see how another vest would come in handy for one of your profession. And I could see how some people would probably do a double take if you did have one on, when doing housecalls! LOL! That when you strap on a bandellaro over the vest, with perhaps small bottles of oil, small screwdrivers, etc., you know, just so they can have a GOOD reason for a doubletake! LOL!!!

Dawg, Ok. Shedder. (Hmmm, picturing you shedding all over the place!)

Hey, procrastinate away Bud!
Ya haven't been here for a time, so hang a bit first! Sheesh Man...... LOL!!!

I know you like black, but maybe you could have a vest crafted in a different color. With your families business logo on the back and a smaller one on the front, with your name on the other side.

The vest idea is a good one as tool belts can lead to having Sciatica later in life. I, and others here can tell ya, that is no fun at all.

I know quite a few carpenters and LEOs who have back problems and they all blame the uneven weight distribution of their belts as the cause.

See, I never wear a tool belt, because I have a swayed back as it is, and since I have to do a whole load of transverse exercises just to stretch out my lumbar region and keep it supple and as close to straight as it is ever going to get, I will be avoiding tool belts for as long as possible.

My little tool bag however, is a little dense to carry around in one hand for any length of time. I do not mind marching a mile with it to do a bit of local work, but it takes it right out of you, especially if it is a hot day. I know its only a small bag, but what with all the drop forged metal tools in it.... you get where this is going! My noodle arms get tired when I carry that thing about, and it increases my sweat level. Given that insects can start a municipal pool on my face when I am at REST in summer, its not helpful!

The ideas you have about putting a back patch on with the company logo, and possibly wearing a different coloured vest, are good ones. I will have to look into it!
