PREVIOUSLY:
Gordi awoke to a gorgeous sunrise, and a mouthful of sand, on the most beautiful Haitian beach he had ever seen.
Unfortunately he also appeared to be sporting the most horrendous hangover, in the long history of mans many follies with the demon drink!
"WTF!!!
...Now I know why it's called "NAGA" with a Dragons bite! I'm gonna kill True when I find him! TRUE!!! TRUE!!! Where are ya bud?"
But, no one else was in sight.
So, he slowly struggled to his feet, noted the bright Pink boxer shorts that now served as his only blush-savers, and tried to bring his eyes into
focus...
"Where is everyone?" he mused..
Gradually, his head cleared and his eyes came to focus on the scene before him.
It looked for all the world like a huge tornado had ripped through their gathering place.
Empty bottles, clothing and the remnants of party food lay all around the lovely beach.
The map, stones and all of his shed family had gone.
He felt utterly alone.
A tear came to his eye, and his head slumped down to his chest. Staring at the warm sand - he started to make out a familiar shape...
it was footprints! Heading off into the nearby woods.
The problem was.... they were NOT all HUMAN!
Some of the prints seemed to be human-like but MUCH smaller.
Some were like birds - crows maybe? and the others were larger - a Huge pawprint like a bear and a horse-like hoof?
It was hard to make them out clearly in the warm sand.
OK, decision time... to follow the prints into the woods, or head back to the sea?
A quick scan of the horizon showed no signs of life, so the decision was taken quickly - to follow the trail!
Gordi gathered up the few scraps of food and drink that were left and packed them away for the journey, checked all of his kit - his tools and
weapons,
then took a quick bearing off the rising sun and set off into the woods.
The trail weaved its way through the undergrowth, past creaking & swaying old palm trees and giant shimmering grey boulders.
The sunlight fluttered and sparkled as the shadows of the foliage danced in the breeze, and a myriad of birds, insects and tiny lizards came
fleetingly into view, before darting for cover or taking flight.
The calm shade of the forest felt cool and comforting as the journey unfolded before him.
As Gordi pressed on, he cast his mind back to the "Treasure" map and the dragonstone, and all of the strange things that had happened on this long
and dark journey, and it hit him like a sledgehammer... He missed the Rainbow Shed.
He missed sitting by the glow of the great fireplace in the kitchen swapping stories, he missed Sporky and Tommy Boy and the horde of other animals
there, but most of all - he missed his shed family who were scattered now, and he vowed in his mind to find them all, each and every one, and to unite
them once more.
Suddenly he looked up to see a vast clearing opening up before him. There was a crystal-clear waterfall and a bank of long green grass or rushes
following the meanderings of a small stream off into the distance.
The sun was getting high in the sky now, and he reckoned that it must be close to midday, when he thought he could hear a voice off in the distance...
