Weeeell....I'm off down to the therapy centre after lunch....getting new photo's done for the website! Really excited about that. It will give the whole thing an authentic feel rather than pictures 'hijacked' off the internet!

We've had a hard frost here in Cheltenham overnight...still sitting on my bed keeping warm..........Brrrrrrrrr...

Oh lovely!

We have had a fairly comprehensive frost here as well! It is ten to eleven in the morning, and cars are still rocking up outside with their bonnets and roof parts covered in a crystalline skin! When I left the apartment before coming down to work, the roofs of the buildings, the tops of fences, every surface had a sparkling film stretched across it. It can appear quite magical in its aspect, when a decent frost sets in.

I can understand your wanting to remain under the covers this morning though! I got some fancy slippers from my mother for Christmas, and I have to say, I was somewhat reluctant to relinquish them for long enough to put my shoes on when I got dressed! However, with the promise of thermal socks, my feet found themselves doffing their new coverings with appropriate haste, and plunged into my boots none the less, so that worked out well for all parties concerned!

I am well. I awoke expecting a rather sleepy day in the store would await me. However, upon opening the store and getting set up, trade has been steady. Although it has not been what one would describe as busy, it has certainly been worth opening up for, and further to that, plenty of progress has been made in the way of pre-New Year preparations. When one works in a small business like this, it is important to get things set up previous to enacting any stock line changes one might have planned, and to allow for increased quantities of stock coming in, on the first suppliers order of the new year.

We are, I am happy to report, well on the way to being prepared to get things in motion again after New Year is done with, so that is a load off our minds. There is a surprising, and significant value to not having to think about something for a couple of weeks, which only hits one when one is no longer thinking about it!

Steady Trade is Good Trade! Plus Busy Minds and all that, right? I am a bit impatient at times and always liked being busy at work. Not doing much made for some slow days. They seemed slower than slow and I cannot stand that!! LOL!!!
Alas. I miss my old Welders Job. I really loved the smell of melting Steel in the morning. Almost as much as I like smelling coffee brewing!! Almost!!! LOL!!!
Oh yah and not having to worry about things that can be taken care of now, is great!!!

Hello one and all!
I hope everyone is having a lovely day!
Cold here today, but I'm staying inside and having French vanilla coffee.
Man, I better get dressed. Time is just flying by. Been sorting through so much stuff lately. I have a bag of things for my niece and a bag for my friend and will have one of books to donate. Once I get my crap sorted I can do crafts again. Ok, I'm going to dressed now. YES Jane, rainbow colors for our Shed here!!! LOL

Well, today turned out being very productive in pretty much all respects. We made a decent showing at the tills, we restocked the pest control stand, re-organised the loft spaces, and dismantled the Christmas Grotto we had set up in the shop front, not to mention clearing yet more detritus from the shop itself, to the garage out back, ready to be taken to the municipal waste facility *resists urge to place Municipal Waste-Born To Party in the thread, simply because that song is at least sixty percent curse words of the F variety*

All in all, a solid day! I am chuffed to bits with the progress we made!
