You guys are too kind!!

I'm SO happy you got 'writer status' Syx...you have deserved it for a long time now!!
I do have a lot of catching up to do, and likely it will take me some time.

I would open my computer and bring up this site...leave it open while I've been doing stuff, hoping to get a chance to sit and read, but it hasn't really worked. I'm sorry that I've missed so much, not just storyline...but everyone's real life too. Hey, maybe we will end up having a Christmassy get-back-together? It would be great if people who have drifted away could come back and say "hi".

Edit to add: I'm glad some of you have kept writing!! Try not to stop! After a while, I felt like I couldn't start again. I definitely missed it.

Jacy I posted the Chart of Winners I got from the Short story site showing how WE took 5 out of 6 top positions! Our Own NightStar took FIRST OVERALL!!!
It is on page 260 here in Your Thread.
Hoping it will show a link now for you to click so You can check it out......(hmmm, no link......)

Jane/Angelchemuel returned recently. We thought she didn't love us anymore. Should have known people couldn't stay away forever.



I too would love to see more people return. At one time this place was almost dead. I made it a point to post every day even if there were only one or two other people posting. I didn't want the place to die. So I left the doors open and the lights all on.

But it does set my mind at ease to see you back. It seems that not only you but other long time members have taken a sabbatical from ATS lately and I was getting worried.

Dawg, I too worry about people when I no longer see them around.

We can only hope that one day, they too shall return.

The enormous dragon stood grinning at the companions, wondering what they might do next. "Noooooo," cried a voice from somewhere in the darkened cave. "Don't touch that treasure! It is cursed!"
Night Star turned to find a strange creature running towards them. It was short and rather chubby, sort of human and...purple.
"What do you know of the treasure?" she asked. The purple creature stood with his chubby little hands on his hips and an angry expression upon his chubby little face. "My whole family has been killed because of this treasure and only after suffering much misfortune. I brought it back here near the cave, knowing the mighty dragon would claim it for his own. The curse doesn't seem to affect dragons."

The companions looked at each other in surprise and also wonder at the strange yet interesting little man.

Good morning family. It's 5:15 am, and I've been awake since 3. Got a lot on my mind.
I'm trying to get a little caught up on the thread...and pouring copious amounts of coffee down my throat.
