I don't have PhotoShop but have a program called PhotoFilter7 that does quite a bit as far as clearing up an image, resizing, cropping and some more basics like that.

Good Day Shedders! Yesterday was the first time in four days I could sit at the confuser for a short period of time, though not really long enough to say anything. Things at the moment seem to be better and on the mend. At least I can gimp around a bit without crutches now.

Long story short, I was stricken with a severe bout of gout. Apparently it was brought on by my own stupidity and didn't stay hydrated enough after my probe last week. To much beer and rich food over the football weekend. Oops! Oh well, lesson learned.

Glad to see you survived the movie True. But I'm sure that being with your kid proved to be quite the sedative.

Gordi, see if you can get the Mrs. to record one of your gigs...at least a couple of songs. You're a talented guy.

Good to see Jane up and running her new endeavor and enjoying herself.

Night, you seem to be on the mend as well...keep positive!

Hey TDawg!!! OUCH on the Gout Bud!!! Man, I have heard that it sucks having that. My neighbor Home had that in his left foot, and My Father in Law had it both feet yrs back. They both said it was very painful and would not wish it on their worst enemy! SO it must be bad... I feel for Ya Doug!

Hey, another writing Contest, not the one that Night gets to name, but a Holiday Themed one. [HOL2014]
I think the contest results at times do not really prove the worth of some of the stories. I mean, it is getting them exposed that get's the Stars and Flags really. I liked Your last Contest Story entry better than Mine. And there were others way better than mine as well. I just happened to get more flags than some. I just got lucky.
I noticed too that the time of day when I drop in poems and other stories makes a difference as to the amount or replies I get for them. If it's midnight or so,I get few replies. Middle of the day seems best I have found.

Anyway, I wanted to mention the Holiday Story Contest. Looking forward to seeing One from You Bud!!!!!!

I noticed that a while back too.
Most of the ATS'ers seem to be on the American side of the pond I think? and in the past I've created threads that I thought were pretty interesting but got nowhere! I think a lot of people use the "Recent Posts" feature, to see what's new, and many miss stuff that's posted in the afternoon/early evening here in UK, because it's quite early in the day in the US?

I thought your Fixers were well worthy of your win! You definitely deserve your current status. Well Done You!
(I'm secretly very proud of all our shed talent, but don't tell anyone ok? LOL)

That's a good idea about videoing the bands... I will try and sort something out.
(Tho' Chrissie rarely gets to see me play, because it's difficult arranging babysitters where we are - in a wee village out in the countryside)

Yea, I've heard it said that gout is the rich man's disease. Though I wouldn't say I am rich, I do like my good beer and good food. Other than that, I'm pretty frugal and a minimalist.

C'mon, ya have to have a couple of groupies in the crowd. Maybe they can film it. (Or is it video it now? With all the digitization, we really don't film or tape much anymore these days, do we?)

I'm going to start calling you Sybil. Actually, you know I love them all and it must be difficult having to choose just one. Love the one you have now of course!!!!

I don't seem to have any ideas for the Christmas story competition either.

Why must they make necklaces and bracelets with such little metal rings to hook onto? Good grief, it shouldn't take two people to put on a piece of damned jewelry. LOL I often customize pieces that I buy. OK, got my jingle bell bracelet on with red, green, gold and silver jingle bells and my snowflake necklace. My Mother always wonders why I wear jewelry even when I'm not going out or even to bed. LOL

I was having so much fun wrapping gifts and adding pretty tags and bows and jingle bells, decorating gift baskets and bags. Now I'm all done. I ran out of stuff to wrap. LOL

Phase two...Baby Brent is due in February. Cody will have a baby brother. I bought the softest cutest fabric to make a blanket. Almost done making that. Also my best friend's birthday and my Sister's. So I plan on gifts and handmade things for those events now.

Then, Flight Through CyberSpace 2 That got NO hits that day and NONE between August 25th until DEC 5th!!! Then after CC replied, I got One more Hit!! Definitely odd!!! Check em out if Ya have a few minutes. Like My usual, they are not very long. I didn't think they were that Bad!!? LOL!!! Man......

Firstly, a HUGE well done to the guys for doing so well in the last writing contest (you know who you are) and I see some of you are already in the next one.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. The schools are winding down for Christmas and they cram so much in it's been mega-hectic and we still have another week (and more concerts) to go. That and with our next programme for Beaver Scouts and a Christmas party to organise, I'm running out of time.

Night Star - Getting snowed in sound great right about now. Night, I love your picture. Reminds me of a visit to Niagara Falls (I was about 12) and everything was covered in a layer of ice. Very beautiful. I'm sorry to hear about your sisters cat. We still have our first cat (16 years) and I am dreading saying goodbye to her. They become such a big part of the family and ours has been with us before we had the kids too.

TrueBrit - I hope you're feeling better. Not had the antibiotic pills, just the powder stuff they mix up for kids and it doesn't make very good milkshakes.

Angel - you show them! I hope it all goes well. It would be nice to see it too if you could drop me a private message too?

Hmmm, I don't know what time of day or night I put my stories up. I always check for new posts myself when I come to ATS. That and recent posts. I usually get more creative at night. I find that if there are a lot of interesting topics up, stories may get lost with people thinking, I'll get to that later. I've done that myself.

I've had a "Sports" massage and it was quite painful...though I did walk out of there as a normal human, rather than a Cro-Magnum.

The process was painful...instead of using her elbows, she had rounded wooden tools. But in the end, it did feel good. She alleviated a lot of pain for me. (Maybe because she distracted my brain from the places it did hurt. ) It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
