haha...well thats what syx did but he didnt have nothing on and i do mean nothing...it was alot of snow out and not sure but i darned him to go out naked and do a snow dance and omg he did...it was so so funny i had to take pictures of it..i dont think i got bad ones as it was just from the side view as he kept dancing around our deck..not even sure any more how they turned out i am sure fuzzy as i was laughing so hard..

...what...how...oh nevermind, my mind is boggled.

I trust that by now, everyone has survived Black Friday? In my case, it was a pretty easy week so far. Only problem is that we're entering the season where my electric personality causes me to get shocked off of pretty much anything I come in contact with, including wood, glass, my cat, and any/all doorknobs in the place.

Well it sounds like were all doing about the same thing. Getting ready for Christmas.

Being our first Christmas in our new home, this one is really special. I am trying to make things really special for the boys. (I know, I know, their at that age that they could care less) But non the less I'm trying. Home is where the heart is, and I know our hearts are here and even if they don't show it. They are loving it.

Thrift Stores!!!!! I too love them. I have found some real gems through the years. Today I found a lamp. It looks like it might be a Stiffle. I just got home from work so I haven't had a chance to really look at it. But hey for $10.00 even if it isn't, it was still a steal.
I also found a bed skirt for $4.00. I have a King size bed and anything I purchase is going to be pricey. This one looked to be expensive. very heavy material and backed in a heavy gold silk. No pulled threads and in excellent condition. Again have to give it a better look over, but I think I did good on it.

I saw a beautiful Christmas tree, that would have been perfect for the KatCave, but it had already been sold. $25.00. Oh well, Monday I plan on hitting 4 more places.

I really should go back and do some reading to catch up on all that's been going on. I'll be floating around for alittle while tonite.

Hey Foss, Ha Ha I stayed far away from the retail stores.
Not into crazy. LOL

I keep missing people. LOL Fell fast asleep earlier.

I too have found some amazing bargains over the years at thrift stores...real crystal glasses, fine china, books, lots and lots of books, clothes, purses, jewelry, etc. etc. etc. I have this one big part porcelain doll/Angel that looks more like a woodland elf or faery. It is the most beautiful thing ever! I have it set up in this great big octagonal glass tank. It used to be an environment for some lizards I had. Anyway, there are branches and little lights and candy canes and green silk plants. It's just enchanting!!!!! She looks like she is in the woods. She was purchased from a thrift store.

Sorry I missed you CC, Foss and Kat. I'm mentioning just the last posters, but Love you all and always miss when I can't interreact with you all.

Hello Everyone! I have to check and see if that turkey is defrosted yet so I can cook it. We went out to eat for Thanksgiving, but now we can have all the left overs we want.

Good Lord, when did cooking become like a work out? LOL I'm sweating! A hundred pots later, the turnip has been peeled, chopped and cooked, baby carrots cooked and glazed, potatoes done, bread stuffing done, turkey in the oven. Got to make asparagus and green beans. Mark doesn't like the same veggies as Mom and I and I like to have lots of veggies anyway. Oh cranberry sauce. I mix mine with a touch of ground cloves, a touch of brown sugar, chopped walnuts and chopped mandarin oranges. Can't wait! I could eat this stuff every day and not get sick of it.

Hope everyone had a truly lovely day!!!!!!

hey night star....well i am now cooking our bird..and yes i so know what you mean about a work out...i cant lift things or hold things to good cause of my wrist and thumb my thumb does not bend any more..so syx has to help with some of the cooking..i can do the stirring until it starts hurting..having my wrist brace on helps me but not when i need to wash dishes now that really hurts me but it has to get done..cranberry sauce i so love it but i am the only one in the family that does..so this thanksgiving i bought some and only ate a little bit of it..it does not taste like it did years ago...it just wasnt right..i had both the sauce and the one with the berries in it..man they would have been alot better if i bought them from home as i liked that brand..i also have made a 5 cup salad but again my family dont like it..it has a cup of these mandarin oranges, sour cream, counut, pineapple chunks,marshmaollows..but again i dont make it any more cause i cant eat all that...i am now making baked corn..family so loves it..its just cream corn and package of crackers crunched and a few eggs..and cook at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes..they all ask why do i only cook it for holidays and well i dont know..i just think its speical thing for those times..thats the only time i had it growing up..but maybe i can change that now...well have to run and check on the bird...and do dishes real fast..hope this bird gets done soon i am so hurny...i hope to be back here later on but not sure...hoep you have a wonderful night..take care cuz...p.s. how do you make your asparagus,my mom made that so many years ago with some kind of white sauce but i have never made it and would so love to make it..

Cooking was always a chore - it takes a lot of work just to get the meal ready and done with.

Don't know about the rest of you, but it hit 61 degrees over here; quite nice weather we seem to be having (in fact, I wouldn't mind if the temps staying in the 50's all winter long).

I've had that fruit salad before and it's wonderful!
How did your bird come out? Mine came out beautifully.
And the gravy...OMG so yummy!!!!!!!!

Oh I forget what you call the sauce for asparagus. I have used it and enjoyed it, but Mark likes his with just butter. LOL I put butter and a bit of lemon juice on mine usually. The white sauce, you can make easily by buying a package of dry mix and adding water or was it milk? They usually have packages hanging right near the fresh asparagus.

Hiya Foss! Yes cooking can be a chore. And then all the dishes. I'll have left overs for days and just love it. My Mom got half the turkey and all the fixings so she will be happy too. So it was worth all the aggravation LOL
