a peaceful country ruled by Russia.

Your own words, not mine.

Too bad all those dead Ukrainians will never see this "democracy" you're so desperately hoping for.

Better dead than ruled by a dictator.

So, what do you think of the military-industrial deepstate complex that runs countries like the USA?

They are no different than the ones that run Russia.

Why don't I shoot myself in the head instead? Sounds more appealing.

It is true.

In some western Ukrainian cities where Right Sector control the cities, they've officially reversed the meaning of Victory Day (Soviet victory over Nazis) to a "Day of Mourning".

The junta president and prime minister were at a ceremony yesterday for Victory Day and the crowd, including WWII vets, was so pissed that they had to be escorted away.

We sometime forget that Stalin was even worse than Hitler: his policies resulted in the estimated death of up to 7.5 million Ukrainians in the 1930s in the 'Holodomor' - which some argue was on a par with the Holocaust. No wonder they saw the Germans as saviours and liberators.

In 1945 Stalin ethnically cleansed Crimea - forcing all the Tatars into exile, during which it's estimated some 40% died from starvation and disease.

In that case, please stop taking offense at being called "pro-Russian."

His name is Mikola Volkov. He was born in 1981 and had a criminal past. He was searched in 2012 officially by an arrest warrant.

Where do you get all this detailed information?

There are always radicals, who start the bad things. On the ground people have to die. But then again you have radicals in forums, who never would go on the battlefield, but spread all the hate to make other people fight on the ground.

Vovin, once I asked a mental sick friend to give himself a chance and try a session with a psychiatrist. He said exactly the same as you did here: "Why don't I shoot myself in the head instead? Sounds more appealing."

Sosobad, again you have to admit that you don't know, where you got your informations from. That's a little bit awkward meanwhile.

Europe celebrated the European Song Contest this night. Conflicting countries gave points to each other. The winner is a bearded hermaphrodite from Austria. The world is changing. Hope, you two don't have bad dreams now.

What do you mean I gave a link to where it was from, I've seen you post bull# as fact and you think you are right, get your head outta your own hole, what makes you the authority on this subject?

You are sitting on the same forum spouting bs thinking you know what other people have done in their lives, cop on. Did you even look at the link or the video before you went on your inane rabble?

I am not going to carry this stupid none-war on here on ATS. Either we discuss the matter as adults or we don't have any reason to talk at all.

I don't see any sense in taking the same positions of pro and contra as we see between Russia and Ukraine or even in the country itself. If you are on the war path go and declare war to someone else. I am luckily in the position to say: If we can not talk like adults, I don't talk anymore.

We can try to find the truth together or be a mini copy of what is going on there. That's all.

Blah blah blah you compared vovin to your mentally sick friend and told me I didn't know where I got my info from instead of discussing it, be an adult yourself, you added NOTHING to the conversation except to insult 2 fellow members

** NOTICE **

The tensions in the Ukraine are high, this topic is one of passion for many and that's easy enough to understand.

However.

The personal jabs, slights or back and forth MUST END NOW. Stick to the topic and things related directly to it, NOT each other.

Go after the ball, not the player!

This thread is under scrutiny from past issues already. Further problems will result in action to follow. Lets not get there.

Haven't seen this video posted yet, here's a 2 hours documentation about the Odessa event. For those who don't have 2 hours time, watch from 1:41:00 onward. 1:46:00 to 1:49:00 is a must see.

Here are the main points from the video:
Pro Maidan, Right Sector and football ultras had a pro Ukraine demo in Odessa.
Local police colaborated with some young aggressive guys posing as pro Russian (both with red armbands) which attacked the pro Ukraine demo aggressively (even shooting firearms).
Pro Ukraine crowd got upset and went to the nearby Trade Union Building - there was a camp already since several days of the real pro Russian guys, mostly older people (1:24:00) - and attacked in kind of revenge. Pro-russians withdrew into the building and building was set on fire. Police didn't intervene there.

Still not answered: Who were the red armband guys colaborating with the local police? That's the police chief who was involved: Dmytro Fuchedzhi

This individual has nothing to do with Putin, so why go there? It was his name and the video showed him meeting with a member of the government the day before the fire, you asked for the link and I gave it. Any thoughts on the link between this man and the government? ( I cannot mention hos name because you are not allowed to post personal info, even though it was his arrest warrant and a YouTube video which are both publicly available, if the scumbags didn't mind being filmed shooting people, I doubt he would mind his name being on ATS but anyway) any thoughts on it?

Yes, there are violent scumbags in Ukraine. Some of them have even gotten themselves into the legitimate interim coalition government. I was reacting to the fact that your source for this information contains many details about the activities of members of Svoboda, but does not concern itself with the civil rights violations of the Yanukovych government, the militants in Eastern Ukraine, the violence perpetrated by Russian agitprop agents... in fact, it appears to be an NGO funded by the Russian government. This is precisely the sort of activity that the United States has acknowledged it has spent "five billion dollars" on. Now, is the United States evil for doing this? Or is it all right for the US to do what Russia is doing? Or are you going to further erode your credibility by claiming that this NGO is completely objective and there has never been any human rights abuse in Ukraine except on the part of the interim government?
