Pssh. Nice reply bro. But is the title of the thread not, "What is your opinion of Putin"? Imo, Putin is a communist. Since the possible poll entries only featured positive things about Putin, it stands to reason that the author of this thread must be a supporter of Putin... and his communist ways.

The sneaky little psychopath is trying to take over a vulnerable, neighbouring country and is laughing while he does it. Not only that, he's now allowing pro-his-guys to demolish parts of the same country so that he can roll in tanks with the sanction of the population - because the population who support the country that they actually are in are being intimidated, tortured and killed.

I'm not saying no other countries have been guilty of this in the past, but I thought the world was moving forward, not backward.

It's a little bit beyond a joke, now. It's rather a dangerous situation.

I am, was almost believing they were being humorous in return. Something like that.

Anyway, I would have made one more category at the top and bottom. At the bottom dude looks like a lady and the question "is he really a woman trapped in a mans body" and at the top I would have put him in a clown deal asking "dude always wanted to be a clown".

A few things to consider here, 1st being that this "poll" actually has nothing to do with the deaths that are taking place in the Ukraine but was focused on the members views of Putin, not of the crisis that is ongoing. Certainly my default knee-jerk reaction was one of aghast but after processing it I was able to see the humor, even if in bad taste.

I look at it this way, many of my posts that are intended as serious discussion often comes across lighthearted at times. The premiss is it allows me to process that which I find abhorrent and grotesque. How often does this community and others take humorous potshots at American leaders? Are you saying you have never participated in the clowning of Obama and/or Bush? Are we not currently at war and engaged in others via proxy? Is it ok to clown around about US leaders but not Putin?

Lastly, I don't think Putin is the issue regarding this crisis and has pretty consistently (IMO) taken the high road or at least is better at deception. I honestly took this thread as a means of letting off some steam and you have certainly been here long enough to know that half the members joining in on this debatchery of a thread has nothing but the best intentions for those in Ukraine and recognize the seriousness of the situation. Although I understand your frustration i do feel its slightly misplaced.

I should also add, I didn't bother voting in the poll as I didn't take it serious seeing how there was really just a variety of the same answer, none of which matches my thinking on Putin.
