Ha! Retaliatory post on the whole Sterling issue?

Shame on you OP...lol.

Did you scour the entire Internet looking for a "revenge" story?

Look, I am sure there are more than a handful of pro athletes, entertainers, politicians, regular Joe's, etc RIGHT NOW doing and saying racist, derogatory, tasteless and mean things in private and public.

It's just the ones caught, recorded and if the story is sexy enough, it will get wheels.

I think this comes more from ignorance than intentional bullying.

It's very easy on the internet these days to see a 'meme' of a someone pulling a face and not necessarily realize that, that person could have a disability.

I suspect Shaq would apologize once he sees this and realize how much he's actually offended the young man - I'd like to think he would anyway.

I think you're right...I don't think it was done intentionally, but it should be a lesson learned for all.

If you don't know someone personally on social media, then you should refrain from anything that could be taken out of context. If you must poke fun, due it with definite buddies, friends, family, etc.

I heard an interview with Shaq's victim, and it was so pitiful, and he was so hurt, it actually brought a tear to my eye.

I hope Shaquille helps the fellow out in some way.

Not when it breaks the law of recording another person without consent in California it doesnt..

Lets be clear though I in no way support what was said, but I do support following the law. There were plenty of other times this could of been revealed and had something done about it, only presently it really seems to serve the present race bating climate to continue separating our country through any polar extremes possible.

Sterling gets canned for remarks (which in no way I am defending) he made in private, Shaq makes fun of a man with a disability on the net for EVERYONE to see and it barely make the news?!! People are now saying it's ok because he apologized, if he was truly a good person it wouldn't have happened in the first place. Just because he throws up #MyBadCuz does not make this any less than what it was, a vile act.

This will be an opportunity for TNT to do the right thing and discharge Shaq from his duties as a host on their pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows during the rest of the NBA playoffs...

Behavior such as this deserves nothing less...

lol..there is a biggggg difference.

Shaq got caught as a first timer and gets his hands slapped, punched in the face, etc.

Sterling is a notorious bigot, scoundrel, racist, sexual predator who has spent decades illegally depriving many, many individuals of fair housing. His convoy of high powered attorneys had successfully scared off the NBA powers for years (up until now) while he groped and molested women and paid them off for silence. He continually discriminated against Asians, blacks, Hispanics and a host of other unfortunate individuals. His rap sheet is so long, we would need several pages to get only a percentage of his misdeeds listed.

Yeah, what Shaq did was wrong and there is no excuse but there is absolutely no room to compare what he did to what Sterling has been doing and what he finally got caught up in.

Anyone remember him playing cop and the problems he caused? Or the "kobe eat my ass" rap?
He's always had character issues.

But Shaq's handicapped so that makes it okay, right? Maybe he just didnt understand what he was doing or where he was or who he is?

Shaq's special in a short bus kinda way.

Oh I agree Sterling was despicable but Shaq ain't no angel either, just read up on all his past exploits, having people beaten up, stalking his wife, getting cops to tail people for him, beating up coworkers the list goes on, one thing he is not is a good person.

There it is....he completely lacks the wit and dare I say intelligence.

Most probably do not or cannot remember his LSU days but, let me tell ya....he never came across as even remotely intelligent back then.

One would hope that over time he would mature from his good old college days but, apparently not.

And I do not buy that whole "I made a new friend today" crap. That is merely an attempt to repair the damage done to his PR's image.

Does anyone really think that Shaq is actually going to be "friends" with this guy once the dust settles?

Never say never but, I'm not buying what he's trying to sell.

Lol stop trying...ats is no longer the ats I use to visit and only recently joined.
This site is now based on race baiting and division.
Im going to continue coming to this site for the people that continue
To want to go above the top secret not for those that choose to trash this site with inflamatory stories that personally have no place here imo. (Please post them on godlike or stormfront where they are truly welcomed by all.)
These threads which only seem to be multiplying are only destroying the credibility of this site
And its members some of which I genuinely respect.
It disturbs me the amount of white nationalist supremacy thats running rampant among people
That all seek the "truth"...the truth we seek has nothing to do with skin color but there are
Many agents here making it so.
When we are divided..when we are baited we lose focus and we land where "they" want us..and thats against each other.

I tend to find Shaq pretty funny but this was tasteless. It's one thing to joke on your peers and the athletes during your coverage. This was over the line.

On a positive note, this gentleman gained some notoriety (albeit not how he would have wanted it) and hopefully it will launch his campaign rather nicely. I wish him the best in helping change peoples minds on how they view others like him or with other disabilities.

If an owned can be banned for his personal beliefs, then Shaq should be banned from any TV events.

And make him sell his property too!

Just fill up one sheet...I'll cut you a break...of course, list the penalties he paid also...

Persons with disabilities have suffered discrimination and humiliation forever. They have the same civil rights and are covered by the same discrimination and hate crime laws.

Let's see how the zero tolerance for discrimination in the NBA stance pans out in this instance.

So you think ableism is perfectly acceptably? Persons with disabilities deserve to be humiliated and discriminated against?

In September 2013, O'Neal became a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings

So NBA, this is at an acceptable level I take it.

The NBA has just recently established precedent indicating behavior of this sort will not be tolerated...punishable to the point of a lifetime ban from attendance at league games and functions...

Okay...deal.

Shaq made fun of one individual that he didn't even know. If the NBA is upset about it, they are free to do something about it.

Sterling made at least 15 minutes of comments disparaging an entire race of people, many of whom are in his own employ.

If you don't see the difference, I can't help you.
