Is this situation in Ukraine a huge issue or something small miniscule? Do you believe that this is going to be a nuclear meltdown of a hot war or do you believe that this is nothing but cold fluff?
personally! I believe that this is the biggest situation in our generation that this could easily esculate into another war and that we are currently in the world war including Middle East possibly finger poking Iran and always up the skirt of North Korea . Not to mention dead bankers

It all depends on how the other nations around play their hand at this point. Russia is pushing as far as it can right now and probably laughing at the sanctions....they could care less. Until someone actually does something physically to deter them, they have no reason to quit their actions. I can see this going full scale war and pretty soon, though I do not see it going nuclear unless there is a direct nuclear threat on another nation. If it does go nuclear we can say goodbye to a LOT of people because between Russia and the US, there are plenty of nukes to use.

I think you are right. If allowed to this could blow up to be major indeed.Russia will not let this go and I don't blame them. They asked for and were promised a buffer of "states" from the EU when the USSR collapsed. Then we turned right around and went back on that promise (like the US has ever kept a promise ever.Just ask the native Indians). Russia is trying to protect their own interests by keeping NATO's missiles out of their back yard. Shades of Cuban missile crisis,we did the same thing at the time. If Russia were to allow the Ukraine to go over to NATO and put missiles in,they would be in easy reach of Moscow. I can see Russia planting missiles off the coast of the US within easy reach of Washington DC and see how we would act.

Then there is also the Russian Spy Ships close to the US in Cuban waters......

I have noticed that at this point it's going nowhere.

What do we know?

-Russia : could have cut off the gas for whole Europe and watch us burn... , Russia could have taken all of Ukraine by now.
-America : Could have gone after Putin's wealth, the whole council, evict all Russians,

Instead it feels like this:
the middle being Ukraine.

I don't know, tomorrow all can change.

We went through this...even worse with them in the 1940's, 50's, 60's, 70's cold war era....80's, 90's, Millenium, the 2010 to now....

I dont know why this is anything different. Its not. If fact...its less than some years and situations we been in with and about them. You are just realizing it in your generation....

With them...its always more or less been like this about something or some country or countries....wait till you look back over them for 40 + years of so from now!

Once their leader (50 years ago) Nikita Krushev banged his shoe on the UN desk (I beleive it was the United Nations) and screamed "We will BURY you!" meaning with nukes...didnt happen.

Nukes in Cuba in the 1960s...less than 100 miles off-shore of the US...nada. Get used to them...and North Korea. Both yell loudly....

This is what I make of it,

- Further Civil breakdown

- Civil War (Ukraine intervention to take back parts of Eastern Ukraine bloody fights with Pro Russians)

- Russian Intervention (Troop Movement across border)

- EU/US Impose the most harshest sanctions, At this time Eastern Ukraine is under going Russian Military Movements

- Ukraine Declares war against Russia and are determined to take back parts of Eastern Ukraine with the help from neighbouring countries like Poland.

- Polish troops build up the support for Ukraine.

- US backs Polish support,

- Russia condemns US

- US sternly warns Russia to leave Ukraine and Ukraine gives Putin an Ultimatum to leave before they start military operations.

- Russia troops in Ukraine to restore 'Peace' from Moscow.

- NATO warns of the dire consequences to impact Russia if they did not withdraw from Ukraine by the set ultimatum.

- Russia's support pro militia groups to jointly put up check points as Russian Forces move through Eastern Ukraine laying down land mines to provoke Kiev split divide.

- NATO jointly discusses Military involvement now peacekeepers enter Ukraine.

- US, NATO, Russia Face off over Ukraine in diplomatic peace keeping talks.

- Russia withdraws troops if eastern parts of ukraine vote for referendum to join Russia.

No one has mentioned anything about Russia making deals with China, India, and Iran that will weaken the petrodollar. That is why the US wants to sanctioned Russia.

Agreed, i do believe that the petrodollar is KEY in all of this, remember that the Chinese economy is adjusting downwards. And if they aren't careful the Chinese economy might stall and eventually halt.

At this point if they would be a new reserve currency it would be the Yuan. That would boosts china's power by ... alot.

That's why I think china is doing business with Russia ( and NK ) because lets face it, they despise the US.

I believe we cant deal with a situation like we have in the past because right now we're in a different state this is post 911, this isn't back in Reagan's time or Bill Clinton. this is now with Obama and things have drastically changed with the American people and NATO has also changed ever since 9/11. Not for the better.

China does not despise the US, they are silently invading all major US cities. In Asia, the Yuan is becoming like the US dollar. The Yen lost out. It's all about Yuan power now. True the US dollars hold weight, but is slowly losing out on international trade in many Asian countries now. Of course, this is not headline news in the States.

Are you aware that your before pic was after Russia seized much of the East of Europe ?

Does the red look like Russia to you?

This is why Eastern block countries have seeked NATO protection

NATO has always had an open door policy anybody is free to join, Ukraine has had request in the past decade tuned down but this is not about Ukraine joining NATO it's about Russia blocking Ukraine's wishes to have closer ties to the EU not NATO, Russia does not have the right to dictate what any country does

China will never hold reserve currency

If the dollar falls the world economy falls and a new currency will emerge likely western country's will all back a new currency than use the yuan It just won't happen

Sorry, I disagree with you. The yuan will rule, rule, rule by economic force.
