Well, yeah. But, the problem is, a lot of people can't even find a job these days. You have to spend on the type of food you can afford to make your dollars stretch as far as possible.

i have never really hidden my preference for the rubenesque.

But truly attractive, to me, is imperfections that are accepted to a degree that the confidence embodied is pure and unabashed. I don't like weak women, and actually need a strong woman kicking me in the butt along the way.

Without my wife, I am just untapped potential.

Well, you ALL are just untapped potential without a good woman, my man! We women already know this, but we let you think it is ALL you. lol

It shows you have brains in that furry head of yours to realize this.

That is not skinny that is what one foot in the grave looks like.

According to this im just right for my height, close though. I agree that these charts are not usually correct. It's as if they don't consider the fact that muscle weighs more than fat and some people are thick boned.

I think healthy is the ideal weight and that depends on each individual, and honestly variety is the spice of life. A bit plump looks nice on some ladies and gents but not all, some look best one size above anorexic but others clearly don't.

Are you freaking kidding me. That national health chart has changed since the last time I looked at it.

I'm 5 ft tall and it has me overweight at 118 lbs, what I am right now, with my winter fat layer still on me.

Even with a hard work schedule in the Summer, I only get down to about 110lbs...and they still call me over weight!

I feel so sorry for young girls today, with all the social pressure that is put on them to look like escapees from a concentration camp.

I think is sick to make so many people, feel inferior if they don't starve themselves.

Thanks for making this thread.... I have been beating myself up about 7 lbs I have recently put on. However, according to that chart I am still well within the "healthy" zone. But I'm not looking like a Victoria's secret model..... so I feel horrible. I am trying to love the me I am now, and aim to be HEALTHY, not skinny. I want to have a long life, with a body that works. I've had 3 kids, so some things will never be.what they once were (without the help of a surgeon).

Anyway, I like to be encouraged by these kinds of threads!

Also, I recently saw a pin on pinterest from an issue of one of those not so lovely ladies magazines (the ones that have the same 10 "amazing" workout/sex/recipe tips) which stated that 78% of men polled (over 1,000) preferred a plus sized woman with confidence over a skinny woman with low self-esteem. It surprised me, pleasantly.

People really only say they think fit people look terrible because its a lot easier to remain fat. If they admit to themselves that overweight is unattractive, they themselves have to get up off the couch and generally people hate that. Its a psychological coping mechanism.

I'm so happy you saw this.

Please don't EVER think you aren't good enough just because you carry a few extra pounds. pfffttt!
I'm a woman, but I would much rather look at a healthy-looking woman model, than those stick figure models they put in the media! I mean, really? UCK!!!!

Fit and sickly skinny are two different things. I think fit, healthy people are great looking! And good for them, they deserve praise. It's hard work.

Hey...I wear a size 6 jeans now, 4 when I'm at my Summer weight of 110. That chart still calls me overweight!

I'm not unhealthy, nor fat. But some person *probably has a phobia about fat* made a chart that calls me fat.

I can only imagine some young teen girl looking at that chart, and seeing her hopes sink as she see's her designation.

People should not judge each other based on what they see in magazines, or online as what is attractive. One of the most attractive, sexy, healthy women I know, is a happy butterball.

How we perceive ourselves and project our confidence, is half the battle of the bulge. It's in our minds.
