Alright .. I went and read about this on the internet. I went digging around and supposedly 'Hitler' in South America had two daughters. It would be a simple matter to match the DNA of those two girls against Hitlers relatives. Last I heard he has three blood nephews who are still alive. (side note - all three men have had surgery so they can not have children. They want the Hitler line to die - so the DNA testing would have to be done soon)

There isn't even enough evidence to mount a successful conspiracy. If there is any conspiracy at all it's how this keeps becoming news. I used to look forward to reading ATS but there is very little substance to be found lately. No offense to those of you still posting good articles it's just a trend I hope reverses soon.

Really, and given the fact that there was a bounty on his head, Argentina would be the last place he would go knowing that Army Intelligence, the FBI and CIA along with MI5 and MI6 and Scotland Yard, the RCMP, and every intelligence agency out there already knew about Nazis in Argentina, I would think that would be the last place he would go. Why go surround yourself around more Nazis?

Did you see the documentary about how MI5 bugged the Nazis so effectively that they knew about battles and then had a German speaking man on a fake German radio station in England that those Nazi officers actually believed was real?

The British knew a lot and so for Hitler to escape, the British knew about Argentina so that would be one of the most surveilled places.

When I was young I remember my dad talking about how people thought Nazis were hiding out among the Amish.

The idea that he could have actually made it is fascinating, for me it would answer a few questions about some of the things going on today-especially if they were able to find him and pick his brain for many years. (which we would probably never know about)

I have a friend here in Vegas that grew up in Romania. Aside from quite a few "old country" stories, some very spooky but that's another thread; had told me it was supposedly common knowledge through the villages (way back in the day) that he lived out his life in Austria.

Mind you this was only talk among the villagers, and it was not really something that interested him much, as he was involved in a mass escape from the former USSR. (again, yet probably another thread)

LOL at the people that are soo quick to call the photo fake.

Watch the video it comes from and it says "ILLUSTRATION" with the image. It was edited to go along with the description the man was giving of who the man he believed was Hitler looked like.

Some of you should really watch the video before commenting about how "fake" it is. You're implying it was done to show proof that he was alive and well. It wasn't

This is why people need to start watching videos before throwing comments out there. It's annoying when people clearly haven't, but sometimes fun when they try to debunk something that isn't actually in the video. Proves you didn't bother watching first

The history of Colony Dignidad and Paul Schaffer is fascinating reading. Nazi's safe and secure in South America is not urban legend. All that is not known for sure is who got away.

And notice two more things...

The mouth is the same and the angle of his shoulder, the same. This was a Photoshop job. If people want to hoax pictures then they probably should not keep the same expression on the face and the little smile.

And people believe it was a more recent picture?

This is a tad bit misleading, although I don't blame the OP. The documents that have been released do not show that the FBI concluded that Hitler had escaped to South America; no, it is merely a report outlining the stories and allegations made by people on the topic. The evidence for his death by suicide in Berlin is quite strong. However, many Nazi's did escape to Argentina through the use of fake passports provided by the Roman Catholic Church. Also, nearly fifty German scientists were absconded to the United States under "Operation Paperclip" where their past was sanitized allowing them to work for US military intelligence, and NACA (which eventually became NASA).

Where would he go if not among his wealthy, admiring supporters (the extended family) who could offer him the comforts of home? Certainly, he wouldn't have become a bearded cab driver, sleeping in a sewer.

The jury is still out as to whether this is true or not. Hitler was Time's "Man of the Year" twice. He had a big sympathetic following in the US among elites who preferred a Fascist government to a Republic, including grandpa Bush. There was a lot of evidence suggesting Martin Borman fled to Argentina and he was protected there and was even writing million dollar checks that passed through the big NY banks.
