Detroit police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the brutal beating of a motorist that has sparked outrage across the nation.
The teens, ages 16 and 17, were arrested without incident early Saturday morning in the area of the beating on Detroit's eastside, according to Detroit Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Woody.
Woody said the teens, who are from Detroit, were part of the group that beat Steve Utash, 54, on Wednesday, after his pickup hit 10-year-old David Harris, and he stopped to check on the boy. Woody declined to discuss a motive for the attack.
The Beating of white driver by angry mob after he accidentally ran over young boy ruled NOT a hate crime by Detroit police.
Steve Utash, 54, accidentally hit David Harris, a 10-year-old black boy, with his truck when he darted out into the busy street, surveillance footage showed.
Utash stopped to make sure the boy was okay and was instead savagely beaten by as many as 12 people, said police.
The family of the young boy have condemned the attack.

Stop with the hate crime nonsense - you beat somebody up you go to jail - you kill somebody you go to jail - black, white, red, yellow. Just enforce the laws!
Another wedge tactic by TPTB...any comment - Reverend Al, Holder, Obama?
