White driver beaten by black mob of 30 in Detroit.

I see things haven't changed in Detroit since I left there almost 20 years ago now.


This is what causes people to do a hit-and-run, like that guy and his family in their van got caught in traffic with that motorcycle "flash mob" deal last year, or what that truck driver in the Rodney King riots should have done.

Angry mobs can be anywhere, but poor segregated communities have always been risky to pass through. So now-a-days, in addition to not walking or riding a bicycle through a bad neighborhood, you don't dare drive through one either, at least not without a motorcade of your own armed, red-neck homies behind you.

ETA: I know Morang Dr on the "East Side", it runs east-west just south of 7 Mile Rd. They don't give an intersection in the news articles, but it was probably between Kelly and I-94 as it gets better to the east and north, and worse to the south. Over-all when I knew that neighborhood, it was better than most in Detroit, but growing up as an East Side suburbanite, I considered those kids from Denby High School to be real tough customers. It is probably worse in that area now 20 + years later.

If you scour the kid's social media you can probably convince yourself that he was a drug dealer as well.

Really? I didn't say anything bad about the kid, just questioned why he wouldn't use a crosswalk when crossing a busy road during rush hour. Forget the fact that it is the law, just makes sense in a safety kinda way.

I can understand as a parent that if my kid gets hit by a car yes I would be very angry. In my neighborhood there are cars that go way to fast & I've yelled at these cars as they have drove by. I have a 3 and 6 year old and for the most part my 6 year old knows better but my 3 year old is still learning. As a parent it's my responsibility to keep an eye on him and honestly it only takes 5 seconds to lose track of him.

This 11 year old should know how to cross the street. If the man was driving like a crazed maniac then he would deserve it but it doesn't appear that way.

I do believe that these people were opportunists scum using this terrible accident as an excuse to beat and rob the poor guy. They took his wallet and a bag out of his vehicle that had everything he owned in it.

That poor boy just made a bad decision to cross the road like that, and the poor driver was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I seriously believe that if the driver had been black, or any other race, the mob would have done the same thing. They saw an opportunity to pounce on a weaker victim and use it to their advantage. Not saying that there is no racism in the world because there is no doubt there is, but this was nothing but thugs doing what thugs do.

You guys have no idea, we had an incident like this a couple years ago, it never made the news, a lot happens around here that never makes the news.

Time and time again these horrible stories get swep under the rug not to expose an extremely out of balace politically correct agenda.

I guess I just find describing a 10 year old kid who got run down as a "criminal" a bit odd. Obviously he was probably doing something pretty stupid, but hey - he's ten.

This trend in violent racial behavior is going to end very badly. When it does, the MSM is going to play a major role. They haven't had a chance to throw gas on a fire in quite some time. Almost feels like they've been hoarding if you ask me.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt. every single dweeb was scouring the internet then for stories of black people attacking whites that

1 weren't being reported, thus showing Trayvon Martin was guilty or something, because, er, the media

2 were evidence of the coming race war that black people were about to engulf the US in

This incident as sad as it is presents a great opportunity for Obama to show real leadership and work towards conciliation between blacks and whites in America. But instead of pointing out the obvious wrongs of the situation his silence on the issue will be taken as tacit approval instead. Obama must desperately hate his white half as he uses every flimsy excuse he can to identify with his black half as if he could somehow distance himself from his own genetic makeup.

We need a real leader in the White House, not someone who thinks they can right the wrongs of the distant past while struggling with a personality complex. The problems of the present demand serious attention not the self-righteous imaginings of a wannabe messiah of social injustices (for selected races and religions only - not all minorities need apply).

Do what's right for the WHOLE COUNTRY, not just those you identify with and count on for political support.
That's what a real President would do.
