This is important for WROL situations. Having former and current Leo's in positions of leadership ensures that threats of violence or violent acts aren't committed on behalf of its members.
I'm not threatening anyone. Every single so called militia group in America has an FBI agent on the inside. They know exactly what they can do and what they can't. They are not going to be allowed to publicly display hate for any one group but most of all they will not be allowed to stockpile weapons. These 'militia groups' are known as Dad's Army and are not considered dangerous-no where near as dangerous as some of the wackos in paramilitary groups that are all former solders.

Rumors like this come and go with every new crop of malcontents discovering the internet.
At 12:24 pm,[1] according to eyewitnesses, a Sgt. Myron Pryor turned and began firing at the students with his .45 pistol.[26] A number of guardsmen nearest the students also turned and fired their M1 Garand rifles at the students. In all, 29 of the 77 guardsmen claimed to have fired their weapons, using a final total of 67 rounds of ammunition. The shooting was determined to have lasted only 13 seconds, although John Kifner reported in the New York Times that "it appeared to go on, as a solid volley, for perhaps a full minute or a little longer."[27] The question of why the shots were fired remains widely debated.
don't "shoot" the messenger!

I call bull. The navy seal are are just under 3000 strong. And while they are very capable fighters most of their missions actually require of them to avoid detection as much as possible.
The main task of the seals is to serve as a force multiplier as military advisors and trainers. Other duties include reconnaissance, anything involving water and any specialized missions that require a specific skillset and training and basically fill the gaps where conventional forces can not deliver. Anything on a large scale would be done by conventional forces.
Also America IS disarmed. The armed forces have tanks artillery, Attack helicopters, fighterjets bombers and if they really need to, chemical weapons. You can not stand against that with a rifle and some ammo. In a modern war, unless restraint is required on the armed forces a soldier carries a rifle more or less for self defense while bigger weapons engage the enemy.
How long do you think the ammo you have stored would last you in a war facing the US government? A week?
