Cmon, this is just hearsay and not even worth getting worked up over. Like Obama is going to start forcefully disarming citizens. Even if he wanted to, he couldnt do it at this point, way too much opposition.

i don't think most soldiers would want to get into conflict with ordinary citizens.

but, guess what? if they were given an order to dis-arm to general public or a particular city and those citizens refused to give up their weapons willingly or even went so far as to open fire in refusal, what do you think those soldiers are going to do?

they will open fire in return, "do their duty", "act in self-defense", "follow orders" and "do what they have to do".

this is truly one of the last things i would want to ever see in my life. but, with all the # that's been going on lately about registration and new firearm restrictions after the media publicizes the # out of some engineered tragedy. this seems like the next step.

just makes me think of my home state ny. there are reasons people can't buy firearms here that use magazines/clips anymore. because it makes it easier to take peoples weapons away when all they have are bolt action hunting rifles.....

and for the folks who have weapons that were grandfathered in, guess what, they have to register each firearm with the government so they know who has what, exactly where to go, and exactly where to expect some more serious resistance...they'll be the first targets on the list

You are correct! Look no farther than what happened in New Orleans with the hurricane!

One of the oaths a soldier takes is to defend their country and uphold the constitution, any administration that would order our military to disarm citizens would be an extreme violation of the constitution... I am proud of the men and women who serve in our armed forces. I find it hard to believe that our fellow countrymen would disarm their fellow brothers and sisters, parents and grandparents, friends and relatives and violate the oath they took to serve their country.

There are many veterans and those currently serving our country who would probably take you outside and show just how they felt about your thoughts on what they would do. The majority hate what is currently happening to our country more that we "civies" do.

Those currently serving aren't going to do ANYTHING openly until they have to. And they will not violate their oath those who will will not like what those who won't will do to them.those that make it through that are ours..you kids just get us food and ammo,we got this.

I tend to agree with you. If, it were too happen it would happen alongside some other large scale incident. False flag, war, etc..

Also, I think they realize they couldn't literally stand toe-to-toe with every armed civilian and disarm them. However, they probably also realize, as do I, that very few people would actually fight to stop the confiscation of their arms. Those are the ones they are hoping the military would be willing to fire on. Small pockets of resistance. Is it that hard to imagine given the extremely limited numbers on both sides who would engage in a fight, that they could field enough willing forces? I don't think so.

I don't believe like many here that most people in the military will fire upon other fellow Americans, but is always that small percentage that have no attachments and neither morals, or are just plain mentally disturbed.

But I have not problem saying that hired for money goons like those use by the government under the table budgets like security firms wound do it, after all, when you are pay top dollars to commit murder some of the people behind this agencies has not scrupulous.

How quickly we forget, it only took less than 24 hrs to command square miles people to stay indoors, and go house to house and do warrantless searches, confiscating anything they wanted after the Boston bombing. No resistance whatsoever.

It wouldn't take much to recreate those same circumstances, and people comply in massive numbers.

Just something to think about...

I agree, that was a very well manipulated and concocted drill added after the bombing tragedy to see how willing Americans are.

But that was a city, now, here in my neck of the woods of southern GA I can tell you that is going to be a different story, I would not be surprised if local police will turn against big federal government when it comes to confiscation of arms.

What did they confiscate? I remember the people being asked to stay inside due to the "manhunt" for the bombers, I also remember that the police did go door to door in some neighborhoods asking if they could search the property, some people refused and others acquiesced, but I don't remember hearing anything about police confiscating anything they wanted to at will.

LOL. I live in the extreme N. Ga mountains. I have no doubt that our local LEO will side with the people.

Some news reported that they did, but as usual the government and local police denied the claims. Now when it comes to New Orleans after Katrina, that was another story, claims of been forced by armed man no even local police to give away the weapons was widely talk about in the news media.

Decide for yourself I guess. I read on many blogs of residents shocked private legally owned guns were confiscated...

Excerpt from link...

“Then the next day, we weren’t allowed out at all…not even to get some coffee. Men dressed in black gear paraded through the streets with weapons. In Watertown, they were confiscating guns from residents. This they don’t tell you on the news. I understand that perhaps the “suspect” may be tempted to fish for weapons, but what about the people that may need to protect themselves from the “suspect” or the government?…

21stcenturywire.com...

I was one of those who stayed glued to live streaming Police and Emergency bands for over 24 hrs. I did hear LEO asking their superiors if they should confiscate guns, and they were told to confiscate all weapons found.

From South GA as well. Many Leo's around here are part of local and state militias. In matter of fact the lead homicide detective has been trying to get me to join.

I swear their rearing to go as much or much than the local citizenry.

Not a chance of anyone giving anything up here...me included.

Damn.. I was kind of hoping that the people who were too scared to leave their houses were they same type of people who would allow a cat to trap them in their own bedroom.

Sounds like there is some truth to it. That is sad. I wonder if those who guns were taken have been able to get them back.

Is that how it happened in the UK? Sorry, but I think there are quite a few people who would not comply with that order. Some will, some won't, and the more that don't and get shot... the more people will start targeting the gun grabbers. It's a horrible situation that I hope nobody here in the US ever has to go through.

Then I realize that we are on a conspiracy theory site and that doom porn in the norm here.

I

To think the U.S. military would turn on the American public without cause is ridiculous. It's one of the silliest conspiracies of all conspiracies. In the past there were and in the future there may be presidents who garner the respect and dedication of the military. President Obama is not that man.

They not only will, they already have. Patton and MacArthur attacked military veterans during the great depression and need I remind you of Kent state? How about the Whiskey Rebellion? Let us also remember the war of Lincoln's aggression.

With the exception of the criminals and a few farmers, we never had any guns. Personaly I've never know anyone in the uk who had a gun, except farmers!

So no, thats not "how it happened in the uk"

If the military really want to uphold their pledge to protect the constitution they should be storming federal gov buildings en mass and shutting down the whole operation. All federal entities and offices locked up. All federal employees jailed on principle. Otherwise, they're just another part of the problem.

Did you ever serve?

If you did, you would realize it isn't that simple!

Are you just here to contradict every post? Anyway, military coups aren't unheard of by a long shot. This country needs one as much as any other. The corruption flows largely from the federal gov since they make the laws. All I'm saying is: arrest every single last one of them and sort it out at a reasonable pace. Press the reset button. You need a military to do what needs done here.

We can pretty much see which states will fall pray to federal take over and confiscation of arms in the near future, with laws that are going against the second amendment, But states like GA are in that group of states support gun ownership.

Now way people will be giving their weapons freely without a fight.

just a question.. I never followed your gun laws or enforcement of them. Just wondering if only criminals or farmers had guns why they would feel the need to ban pretty much everything but air rifles? They do know that the criminals will still be able to obtain firearms, if it works for the UK that is great.. it will never work here.
